A latch assembly having a keyless toggle lock capability and capable of being unlocked by either a low level security key or a master key. When a user rotates the front handle or rear handle the actuator of the latch assembly provides for sliding movement of a sliding element so as to provide for actuation of a latching means.

Latch assembly

A hook latch for fastening and unfastening a closure member to a keeper in a latched position. The hook latch is moveable between the latched position and an open position. The hook latch comprises a rotation means which preferably comprises a knob connected to a cam shaped protuberance which acts upon an actuator plate and a locking plate. Upon rotation of either the knob or the key which is inserted in a lock cylinder which has a locking ring having a cam-shaped protuberance, the cam-shaped protuberances displace both the actuator plate and the locking plate.

A lock cylinder having a master key capability wherein the lock cylinder can be provided with either a master annular ring on the front of the lock plug which can only be opened by a master key or a low level security annular ring which permits the lock cylinder to be opened by either the master key or the low level security key.

Lock cylinder

A lock has a lock casing and a spring-loaded trigger guided for reciprocating movement within the housing. A hook-like bolt is arranged within the housing to be movable between an unengaged position and an engagement position. In a first position, as support surface of the spring-loaded trigger retains the bolt in its unengaged position. In a second position the spring-loaded trigger releases the bolt for movement towards its engagement position.

Lock

A locking device includes a handle member, a rotatable member connected to the handle member, and a bolt member connected to the rotatable member so as to follow rotational movements of the handle between a locking position and an unlocking position of the locking device. The bolt member includes a latch bolt spring-loaded towards an extended locking position and operative to yield towards a less extended position when encountering a stationary part of a coaming when positioned in its locking position.

Multi-directional rotary-pawl latch

An adjustable sliding bolt () for a lock, comprising a first part () guided for reciprocating sliding movement along a first plane relative to a housing () of the lock, and a second part () operatively connected to the first part and having a first and a second end. The second end has an abutment surface () located in a second plane substantially parallel to the first plane. The second part () is integral with the first part () and hingedly connected thereto at its first end by a reduced material thickness portion (). An adjustment screw () is provided between the first part and the second part at a distance from its first end. The screw is operative to positively move the second end and the abutment surface () two opposite directions perpendicular to the first and second planes.

Latch

A lock for a swinging door comprises a lock casing having a fore-end and at least a first side wall. A first bolt is spring-loaded for engagement with a stationary engagement member of a door case or the like and is movable between a locking position in which it does not extend beyond the fore-end, and an open position, in which it is retracted into the lock casing. The lock casing has an opening in its fore-end and its first side wall, said opening enabling engagement between the stationary engagement member and the first bolt in its locking position.

A keeper and a latch secures a first member such as a door panel against a second member such as a corresponding frame. The keeper is adapted for attachment to the second member and engages the latch in a fastened position.

A follower arrangement for a lock having two equally shaped followers rotatable a limited angle by a common shaft operable by at least one handle to retract a latch bolt of the lock. Each follower has one wing portion having an operative abutment surface. The operative abutment surface of the followers are located on opposite sides of the shaft, such that the operative abutment surface of a first follower contacts a shoulder of a first leg of the latch bolt directed in a first direction, and such that the operative abutment surface of a second follower contacts a shoulder of a second leg of the latch bolt directed in a second direction opposite to said first direction.
