A description is given of a heat-sensitive recording material, comprising phenol-free organic color developers, more particularly comprising a color developer mixture comprising phenol-free organic color developers, of a heat-sensitive recording layer and also of a coating composition for producing it, of the use of the heat-sensitive recording material, of the use of an organic color developer of a formula I for improving the resistance of the printed image of a heat-sensitive recording material, and of a method for producing heat-sensitive recording material.

Heat-sensitive recording material comprising phenol-free organic colour developers

A heat-sensitive recording material having a carrier substrate and a fusible layer disposed on one side of the carrier substrate. The fusible layer comprises an amide wax having a melting point in the range from 60° C. to 180° C., an inorganic pigment, and a polymeric binder.

Developer-free heat-sensitive recording material

A coating composition for producing a heat-sensitive recording material and to a corresponding heat-sensitive recording layer. The coating composition includes one or more color developers, one or more dye precursors, one or more specific fatty acid amides, and one or more (additional) specific sensitizers. Heat-sensitive recording material

A release substrate includes: a carrier substrate having a front side and a reverse side opposite the front side, and a release layer disposed on the front side and/or reverse side of the carrier substrate. The release layer includes a polymeric binder and a wax based on a vegetable oil.

A heat-sensitive recording material having i) a carrier substrate and ii) a heat-sensitive recording layer. The heat-sensitive recording layer contains a color former and a color developer mixture and the color developer mixture contains a) N/-[2-(3-phenylureido)phenyl]benzole sulfonamide (compound of formula (I)). The compound of formula (I) is present in a crystalline form, which has an absorption band in the IR spectrum at 3401&#xb1;20 cm&#x2212;1, and b) N-(4-methylphenylsulfonyl)-N-(3-(4-methylphenylsulfonyloxy)phenyl)urea (compound of formula (II)).
