An electric shaver with a drive shaft having a first rotary axis and a drive pin connected to the drive shaft eccentrically with respect to the rotary axis, and a driven shaft having a second rotary axis. The driven shaft is indirectly coupled to the drive shaft by a gear mechanism capable of converting a rotary motion of the drive shaft into a reciprocating motion of the driven shaft.

The present invention relates to electric shavers, handpieces of such shavers and a method of manufacturing such electric shavers. More particularly, the present invention relates to a shaver set comprising a plurality of electric shavers.

Electric shaver

The invention refers to an electric shaver with a first cutter element and a second cutter element which are movable relative to each other in an oscillating manner along a first horizontal cutter oscillation axis. Each cutter unit is mounted in the cartridge pivotably about a second horizontal tilting axis and axially displaceably parallel to a vertical axis. The first horizontal cutter oscillation axis is perpendicular to the vertical axis and perpendicular to the second horizontal tilting axis.

The present invention relates to an electric shaver comprising a shaver housing, a shaver head including at least one cutter element drivable by a drive unit in an oscillating manner along a cutter oscillation axis and a non-cutting auxiliary function element for applying an auxiliary skin treatment other than hair cutting to a skin portion to be shaved, said auxiliary function element having an applicator head positioned aside the cutter element. The shaver head and/or the at least one cutter element is supported pivotably relative to the auxiliary function element at least about a pivot axis parallel to the cutter oscillation axis.

The invention refers to an electric shaver comprising a shaver housing, a shaver head and at least one cartridge mounted in or on said shaver housing. The adaption of the cutter element to the contour of the skin to be shaved is improved by permitting at least one additional movement of the at least one cutter unit relative to the shaver head.

The invention refers to a coupling for transmitting a driving movement from an oscillating transmitter of an electric shaver to a cutter element.

A personal care appliance comprises a head, a display device, and a drive unit including a motor for driving a removable tool element in the head via a drive transmitter. The head has at least one coupling element for coupling different types of tool elements with the drive transmitter. The tool elements comprises at least two of the following tool elements: a skincare unit, a long-hair cutting unit, a beard-trimming unit, a brush, and a short-hair cutting unit, wherein at least one mode button is provided for changing operating parameters of the motor and is configured to indicate upon activation at least one of the tool elements at the display device.

An electrically driven device provided with a housing, an electric motor with a drive shaft having a first rotary axis and a drive pin connected to the drive shaft eccentrically with respect to the rotary axis, and a driven shaft mounted in the housing for performing a pivoting is disclosed. The driven shaft is indirectly coupled to the drive shaft by means of a gear mechanism converting a rotary motion of the drive shaft into a reciprocating pivoting motion of the driven shaft. The gear mechanism comprises one intermediate shaft having a second rotary axis extending in the longitudinal direction of the intermediate shaft and at least one crank arm coupled to the drive pin. The crank arm is pivotably mounted in the housing and is coupled to the intermediate shaft thereby converting a rotary motion of the drive shaft into a reciprocating pivoting of the intermediate shaft about the second rotary axis. The intermediate shaft is coupled to the at least one driven shaft by means of a pivotable bridge such that the intermediate shaft is offset with respect to the at least one driven shaft.

A novel retarding mechanism is shown to reduce the inertia of the battery shell during a linear detachment movement from a handle of an appliance, such as a battery powered razor or shaver. The retarding mechanism is based on the interaction between the battery shell found on a lower portion of a razor handle and a battery carrier found within the upper portion of a razor handle. Specifically, an engagement spring having at least one knob type structure is mounted on an interior surface of the battery shell and axially engages protrusions and/or recesses on an exterior surface of the battery carrier during a detachment movement of the battery shell. During opening or detachment of the shell, the engagement of the knob with protrusions produces a retarding force effect of the shell during the linear detachment.

A combination shaving and trimming device includes a handle having an upper end and lower end, a powered trimmer disposed adjacent the upper end, a wet-shaving razor attachment adapted for mounting over the trimmer onto the upper end of the handle.
