This invention describes ways of obtaining nano-particulated adjuvants formed by different synthetic variants of GM3 ganglioside. Depending on the fine structure of the fatty acid in the ceramide of the synthetic GM3, said adjuvants are able to stimulate specifically and in a specialized way the humoral or cellular immune response against accompanying antigens. Particularly, this invention provides immunogenic vaccine compositions that comprise peptides, polypeptides or proteins and the aforementioned nanoparticles, which are formed through the dispersion of hydrophobic proteins of the outer membrane complex (OMC) ofin solutions containing fully synthetic variants of the GM3 ganglioside.

The present invention describes fusion proteins based on cytokines, called bi-cytokines (BC), specifically formed by the binding of an IL2 agonist mutein with a type I interferon (IFN), linked by an Fc region of a mutant human IgG1 and a connector peptide. The combination of an IL2 agonist mutein and a type I IFN in the structure of the bi-cytokines gives surprising immunoregulatory properties to these molecules and a superior therapeutic effect than that of parental cytokines, or their combination, which makes them attractive and novel molecules for the treatment of cancer. The present invention relates to the field of biotechnology applied to human health. The invention describes a vaccine vehicle which toxins from eukaryotic organisms are encapsulated in liposomes with multiple lipid layers, obtained by means of the process of dehydration/rehydration, the lipid composition of which is dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine:cholesterol in a molar ration of 1:1, which are designed for subcutaneous or intramuscular administration. The compositions described allow modulation of the specific CTL immune response to one or more antigens co-encapsulated in the liposomes that containing the toxin. Vaccine compositions in which gangliosides and the OMP ofwere combined to form very small size proteoliposomes (VSSP) to be administered subcutaneously are described, these compositions do not require the use of any additional adjuvant. Particularly, this invention refers to preparation of immuno-stimulating compositions capable of generating antigen-specific immune responses, even in immuno-compromised hosts, such as those suffering form cancer or viral or bacterial chronic infections. In said patients, the administration of the vaccine compositions described in this invention has lead to the reestablishment of the functionality of the immune system. Vaccine compositions of this invention can be used to protect or treat infectious, or auto-immune diseases.
