Process for the purification of a hydrocarbon stream including: a) Providing a hydrocarbon stream having a diene value of at most 1.5 g I2/100 g and a bromine number of at least 5 g Br2/100 g, and containing at least 10 wt % of pyrolysis plastic oil; d) contacting the effluent obtained in step a) with silica gel, clays, alkaline or alkaline earth metal oxide, iron oxide, ion exchange resins, active carbon, active aluminum oxide, molecular sieves, alkaline oxide 10 and/or porous supports and silica gel, or any mixture thereof; e) performing a second hydrotreating step; and f) recovering a purified hydrocarbon stream, where the second hydrotreating step is performed over at least one catalyst that presents both (i) an hydrotreating function and (ii) a trap function.

Purification of waste plastic based oil via first a trap and second via an hydrotreatment

A process for the purification of a hydrocarbon stream including: (a) Providing a hydrocarbon stream having a diene value of at least 1.0 and a bromine number of at least 5 gBr2/100and containing pyrolysis plastic oil; (b) Optionally contact the hydrocarbon stream obtained in step (a) with a silica gel, clays, alkaline or alkaline earth metal oxide, iron oxide, ion exchange resins, active carbon, active aluminum oxide, molecular sieves, alkaline oxide and/or porous supports and silica gel, or any mixture thereof, (c) Heating the stream obtained in step a) or b) followed by a mixing of the heated stream with a second diluent heated at a temperature of at least 300° C. preferably at least 330° C.; (d) performing an hydroprocessing step at a temperature of at least 250° C. in the presence of H2; and (e) recovering a purified hydrocarbon stream.

Purification of waste plastic based oil with a high temperature hydroprocessing

A process to produce olefins and aromatics via a purification of a hydrocarbon stream including: a) Providing a hydrocarbon stream having a starting boiling point of at least 15° C., a diene value of at least 1.0 preferably at least 1.5 g I2/100 g and a bromine number of at least 5 g Br2/100 g and containing at least 10 wt % of pyrolysis plastic oil where preferably at least 10 wt. % of said hydrocarbon stream has a boiling point of at least 150° C. based on the total weight of said hydrocarbon stream; c) Performing a first hydrotreating step; e) performing a second hydrotreating step; and f) recovering a purified hydrocarbon stream wherein at least a part of this purified hydrocarbon stream is sent to a steam cracker to produce olefins, such as ethylene and propylene, and aromatics.

Purification of waste plastic based oil via a two steps hydrotreatment

A method to make a phosphorus modified zeolite can include providing a zeolite having at least one ten member ring, making an ion-exchange, steaming the zeolite, and introducing phosphorus on the zeolite. The zeolite can be mixed with one or more binders and shaping additives, and then shaped. A metal can be introduced, and the catalyst can be washed, calcined, and steamed in an equilibration step. The steaming can be at performed at a steam severity (X) of at least about 2. The steaming can be performed at a temperature above 625&#xb0; C. The catalyst can be used in alcohol dehydration, olefin cracking, MTO processes, and alkylation of aromatics by alcohols with olefins and/or alcohols.

Method for making a catalyst comprising a phosphorous modified zeolite and use of said zeolite

The present invention relates to a catalyst comprising a phosphorus modified zeolite, said phosphorus modified zeolite having partly an ALPO structure, wherein, the catalyst comprises a P-modified zeolite and a binder, the zeolite comprises at least one ten members ring in the structure, optionally the catalyst comprises one or more metal oxides, the ALPO structure is determined by a signal between 35-45 ppm inAl MAS NMR spectrum. The present invention also relates to the use of the above catalyst wherein said catalyst is operated in presence of steam at high temperature. 'high temperature' means above 300&#xb0; C. and up to 800&#xb0; C. By way of example one can cite, the alcohol dehydration to convert at least an alcohol into the corresponding olefin, the olefin cracking to make lighter olefins, the MTO and the alkylation of aromatic compounds with olefins and/or alcohols to produce, by way of example, para-xylene, ethylbenzene, cumene etc.

Catalyst comprising a phosphorous modified zeolite and having partly and ALPO structure

A method to make a phosphorus modified zeolite can include providing a zeolite including at least one ten member ring in the structure, steaming the zeolite, mixing the zeolite with one or more binders and shaping additives, and then shaping the mixture. The method can include making a ion-exchange. The shaped mixture can be steamed. Phosphorous can be introduced on the catalyst to introduce at least 0.1 wt % of phosphorus, such as be dry impregnation or chemical vapor deposition. A metal, such as calcium, can be introduced. The catalyst can be washed, calcinated, and then steamed. The steaming severity (X) can be at least about 2. The catalyst can be steamed at a temperature above 625&#xb0; C., such as a temperature ranging from 700 to 800&#xb0; C. The catalyst can be used in alcohol dehydration, olefin cracking, MTO processes, and alkylation of aromatics by alcohols with olefins and/or alcohols.

A catalyst can be used to convert an alcohol in a dehydration process into an olefin having the same number of carbon atoms as the alcohol. Use of a catalyst comprising a phosphorous modified zeolite in an alcohol dehydration process

A catalyst can include a phosphorus modified zeolite having partly an ALPO structure. The ALPO structure can be determined by a signal between 35-45 ppm inAl MAS NMR spectrum. A process for the conversion of an alcohol mixture to make propylene may include introducing into a reactor a stream that includes the alcohol mixture. The alcohol mixture may include 20 to 100 weight percent isobutanol. The process may include contacting the stream with a single catalyst at a temperature above 450&#xb0; C. in the reactor at conditions effective to dehydrate the isobutanol, forming Colefins, and to catalytically crack the Colefins. The single catalyst may be an acid catalyst adapted to cause both the dehydration and the catalytic cracking. The process may include recovering from the reactor an effluent that includes ethylene, propylene, water, and various hydrocarbons. The process may include fractionating the effluent to produce an ethylene stream, a propylene stream, a fraction of hydrocarbons having 4 carbon atoms or more, and water.
