A data restoring method using compressed sensing and computer program product, the method includes (a) continuously measuring data for plural times to generate measurement results correspondingly, and processing the i-th measurement result using the compressed sensing, and starting to generate data matrix when times of measuring reaches a preset times of measurements N; (b) generating a first data matrix using the [(j+1)&#x2212;N]th to the j&#x2014;the measurements, and then generating a first restored data; (c) generating a second data matrix using the [(j+2)&#x2212;N]th to the (j+1)&#x2014;the measurements, and then generating a second restored data; (d) calculating an error between the first and the second restored data; (e) determining whether the error keeps constant for a predetermined number of times; (f) if not, repeating steps (c) to (e).

A liquid crystal photoelectric apparatus including an upper substrate, a lower substrate, a plurality of alignment layers, and a liquid crystal material is provided. The alignment layers include an upper alignment layer, a lower alignment layer, and at least one intermediate alignment layer. The upper alignment layer has a first orientation direction. The lower alignment layer has a second orientation direction. The at least one intermediate alignment layer has an intermediate orientation direction. The intermediate orientation direction is between the first orientation direction and the second orientation direction. The liquid crystal material includes a plurality of liquid crystal material portions. Each of the liquid crystal material portions is disposed between any adjacent two alignment layers. An optical imaging processing system is provided.

Liquid crystal photoelectric apparatus and optical imaging processing system

A tunable terahertz achromatic wave plate including at least three phase retarders and a tuning device is provided. The at least three phase retarders are sequentially arranged along a first direction, and configured to provide an achromatic range in a terahertz band, so as to reduce a chromatic aberration of a terahertz wave through the tunable terahertz achromatic wave plate in the achromatic range. The at least three phase retarders respectively include a liquid crystal cell. The tuning device is configured to tune a liquid crystal orientation angle of the liquid crystal cell, so as to correspondingly change a birefringence of the at least three phase retarders in the terahertz band. The terahertz wave through the tunable terahertz achromatic wave plate has same phase retardation in the achromatic range. The achromatic range in the terahertz band is determined according to the birefringence of the at least three phase retarders.

The invention provides a liquid crystal based optoelectronic device, including an upper substrate and a lower substrate, a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the upper substrate and the lower substrate, and a pair of indium tin oxide nano-whisker layers formed on the inner surfaces of the upper substrate and the lower substrate, wherein the indium tin oxide nano-whisker layer is used as an alignment layer for aligning liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer.

A supercontinuum generation system comprises a noise-like pulse fiber laser structure, an amplification unit and a broadening medium. The noise-like pulse fiber laser structure generates at lease one noise-like pulse of the wavelength less than 1300 nm. The amplification unit includes a gain fiber with which the noise-like pulse is coupled. The broadening medium is coupled with the gain fiber. A supercontinuum is generated when the noise-like pulse is amplified by the amplification unit and broadened in spectrum by the broadening medium.

A multi-color harmonic synthesized laser system for laser processing and a laser processing method using multi-color harmonic synthesized laser are disclosed. The multi-color harmonic synthesized laser system includes a laser source for providing a single laser wave, a converter for converting the single laser wave into a plurality of harmonic waves with different frequencies, and a modulating unit for modulating amplitudes and relative phases of the harmonic waves to form a plurality of modulated harmonic waves, so as to synthesize the modulated harmonic waves as a single synthesized laser wave, wherein the single synthesized laser wave is focused on an object to perform a laser processing. The converter includes a plurality of non-linear crystals for converting the single laser wave into a fundamental harmonic wave and a plurality of multi-frequency harmonic waves. The harmonic waves are coherent and collinear, and the phases of the harmonic waves are related to one another.

A fiber laser having a ring resonance path comprises a pump light source, a Yb-doped optical fiber and a light modulation unit. The pump light source emits a pump light. The Yb-doped optical fiber is coupled with the pump light. The light modulation unit includes a grating pair, a diaphragm and two reflective elements. The grating pair is coupled with the pump light. The diaphragm includes an aperture. The light transmitted by the grating pair partially passes through the aperture and reaches one of the reflective elements to become a reflective light, and the reflective light passes through the aperture and is transmitted through the grating pair and the other reflective element to be coupled back with the ring resonance path.

Fiber laser

A mesoporous silica having adjustable pores is obtained to form a template and thus a three-terminal metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) photodetector is obtained. A gate dielectric of a nano-structural silicon-base membrane is used as infrared light absorber in it. Thus, a semiconductor photodetector made of pure silicon having a quantum-dot structure is obtained with excellent near-infrared optoelectronic response.

The Terahertz Polarizer structure of the present invention comprises of: A pair of parallel quartz layers for forming a rectangular cube with internal space, then a birefringent liquid crystal is placed in the internal space and sealed, and a pair of permanent magnets with reverse polarities are placed at both sides of the pair of fused silica layers.

The present invention provides a tunable terahertz (THz) wavelength selector device, which includes a fixed phase retarder, a tunable phase retarder and a pair of linear polarizers to form a unit. The fixed phase retarder and tunable phase retarder basically utilizes liquid crystals to provide phase retardation, moreover, utilizing birefringence phenomenon possessed by liquid crystals can provide adequate phase retardation. The fixed phase retarder utilizes horizontal orientation of liquid crystal cell to provide fixed phase retardation, while the tunable phase retarder however utilizes homeotropic liquid crystal cell and a rotatable magnet to provide a tunable phase retardation, wherein the tunable phase retarder can provide the positive or negative phase retardation relative to the fixed phase retarder, based on the direction of the magnet's rotating axes and totally use the entire tunable range into adjusting frequencies which can pass through. Besides, the present invention can also serially connect multiple units described above so as to achieve a narrow enough band-pass bandwidth.

Tunable terahertz wavelength selector device using magnetically controlled birefringence of liquid crystals

The present invention discloses a means of the generation of tunable femtosecond pulses from 380 nm to 465 nm near the degenerate point of a 405-nm pumped type-I BBO non-collinearly phase-matched optical parametric amplifier (NOPA). The tunable UV/blue radiation is obtained from sum frequency generation (SFG) between the OPA output and the residual fundamental beam at 810-nm and cascaded second harmonic generation (SHG) of OPA. With a pumping energy of 75 mJ at 405 nm, the optical conversion efficiency from the pump to the tunable SFG is more than 5% and the efficiency of SHG of the OPA is about 2%.

Blue-light generating femtosecond wavelength-tunable non-collinear optical parametric amplifier

A rapid and linear scanning optical delay line was attained by the use of a helicoid reflecting mirror which was spun by a DC servo motor for bringing about a periodic change in the optical path length of the reflected light beam. The double-pass scanning range of the delay time as large as 80 picosecond was attained by the scanning optical delay line having a helicoid reflecting mirror having 12 mm in pitch distance. The scanning optical delay line was used in an optical second-harmonic generation autocorrelator, which was thus capable of scanning successfully a picosecond optical pulse train. A real-time scanning of the picosecond laser pulse of a mode-locked Titanium:Sapphire was verified.
