A slider includes a rotary blade holding case and a guide member. A rotary blade bearing portion is provided on the rotary blade holding case. A shaft extends through a rotary blade while being clamped with a bearing member and a safety plate. After the shaft is coupled with the bearing portion, the guide member is coupled with the rotary blade holding case. Thereby, parts other than the shaft are adapted to be molded with a single material so as to reduce the manufacturing processes of the slider and the cost thereof. In addition, the rotary blade and the safety plate are mounted on the slider. If the slider is removed from the guide rail in the state where the rotary blade is in a unit with the slider, fingers are prevented from contacting the rotary blade, and the rotary blade can be easily replaced together with the slider.

A punch, in which two operations, e.g., the movement of a head 1 along a rail 4 and the vertical movement of a punch 32 are carried out by the rotation of a slide transmission shaft 2 is provided, so that the bad influence of the inertia of the head 1 is suppressed, and the high speed operation is realized to thereby enhance the punching operation. The punch of the present invention comprises, a slide transmission shaft 2 to engage with a head 1, a driving member 28 having concentrically a helical cam 281 consisting of a helical portion and a vertical portion on its outer circumference and a punch driving gear, a rack 31 being parallel with the slide transmission shaft 2 and having teeth of the pitch identical with the pitch of the helical cam 281, while being engaged with the rack 31, and a punch driven gear 30 being rotated while being engaged perpendicularly with the punch driving gear 29 and having a pin 361 to be engaged with a rectangular hole 331 of the punch driving member 29. So that the head 1 is displaced along the rack 31 while the helical portion of the helical cam 281 is engaged with the rack 31. And an up-down movement of the tip end of the punch 10 is carried out with an area of punching process while the vertical portion of the helical cam 281 is engaged with the rack 31. Further, the head displacement and stoppage and the up-down movement of the punch are completely synchronized with the pitch of the holes to be punched.

Punching apparatus

A paper cutter is provided with a stationary blade and a movable blade unit. The movable blade unit is provided with a circular blade for cutting a rounded corner of a sheet of paper and a corner cutter blade for cutting the corner edge of the sheet of paper. The movable blade unit is inserted in a movable blade inserting hole provided in the stationary blade, the corner of the paper is inserted in a slit cut in the stationary blade which intersects with the movable blade inserting hole. During the cutting of the corner by the circular blade, the corner of the paper is tensioned between the circular blade and the corner cutter blade. As a result, the paper is cleanly and uniformly cut and the force required to cut the paper is decreased as compared to conventional paper cutters.

A jig for perforating paper sheets and for binding said paper sheets perforated on a ring binder is provided. For perforating, paper sheets retaining plate 21 attached pivotally to the guide portion 20 is opened, the surface of the paper sheets positioning portion 28 and the surface of the paper sheets placing portion is flush with each other by locating the former adjacent to the front edge 36 of the latter and paper sheets to be perforated are positioned, thereafter, the paper sheet retaining plate is closed to clamp the paper sheets and the paper sheets positioning portion is turned to protrude the paper sheets from the front edge 36 of the paper sheets placing portion 19 for perforating. For binding the paper sheets perforated, by opening and closing the paper sheets retaining plate 21 which is connected to the movable plate slidable beneath the paper sheets placing portion 19, the ring bars planted on the rear end of the paper placing portion and the L-ring bars provided on the movable plate come close and distant to open the rings set on the rings bars and insert the rings into the perforations of the paper sheets.

A paper cutter comprising: a bed for placing paper to be cut thereon; a rail mounted on the bed; a slider made slidable along the rail; and a rotary blade carried by the slider for cutting the paper as the slider is moved. Further comprised are springs for supporting the two ends of the rail therethrough on the bed so that the rail may move up and down. The rail has its lower face formed on its end edge with a cutting position determining face such that the slider is fitted on the rail in a position where the rotary blade runs along the positioning face. With this construction, the rail itself is supported in a floating state on the bed. As a result, the paper is cut with the rotary blade by lowering the floating rail with the depression of the slider and by clamping the paper under pressure only at the portion to be cut between the rail and the bed as the slider is moved. Thus, the construction is simplified with little cutting resistance, and the paper is not displaced even if clamped at the portion between the rail and the bed.

A binder to bind papers between a paper supporting plate and a paper holding plate by inserting paper binding cylinders into punched holes of said papers, which comprises a rear plate formed in L-letter in section at an edge of said paper supporting plate, a rack forming plate formed in L-letter in section at an edge of said paper holding plate, opposing said rear plate and overlapping each other, guide portions provided on inner side of the rear plate in the areas of both side edges for guiding both side edges of the rack forming plate and allowing a vertical and parallel movement against the rear plate, rack teeth having configuration of saw teeth in section provided on the surface of said rack forming plate opposing to the inner side of the rear plate, click member rotatably mounted on the rear plate, having a click pawl for engaging with said rack teeth to prevent the rack forming plate from moving upward, and a spring means provided on said click member to bias said click pawl resiliently against the rack teeth, wherein papers can be bound regardless the thickness thereof merely by depressing the paper holding plate.
