A wireless device receives first control information through a sidelink control channel specifying one or more first time slots for the wireless device to transmit a sidelink acknowledgment message over a sidelink feedback channel. The wireless device receives a resource grant through a downlink control channel, wherein the resource grant specifies one or more second time slots for the wireless device to transmit an uplink transmission over an uplink channel. Radio link management, beam failure detection and default beam enhancements for high speed train deployments

A wireless network may include a base station and user equipment (UE). The UE may transmit uplink (UL) signals to the base station using a dynamically adjustable maximum UL duty cycle. When the UE identifies that a user is in proximity to the UE, the UE may transmit an indicator to the base station. The indicator may identify that a radio-frequency exposure (RFE) event has occurred and/or a suggested maximum UL duty cycle that would allow the UE to satisfy limits on RFE. The base station may limit a UL grant to the UE so that the UE performs subsequent communications using the suggested maximum UL duty cycle or a different maximum UL duty cycle. Coordinating adjustment of UL duty cycle in this way may allow the UE to meet limits on RFE without requiring the UE to perform maximum transmit power level reductions.

Systems and methods for controlling radio-frequency exposure

Techniques described herein include solutions for enabling NR sidelink (SL) communications by using radio resource control (RRC) to provide ser equipment (UEs) with grant configuration (CGs) for unidirectional and/or bidirectional SL communications. These techniques also include solutions for UEs to obtain channel occupation times (COTs) for SL communications, and procedures for sharing COTs with other UEs, and procedures for CG uplink control information (UCI) of physical uplink shared channels (PUSCH) transmissions for NR in the unlicensed spectrum (NR-U). The techniques described herein also include solutions for channel state information (CSI) feedback for CGs of SL in the unlicensed spectrum (CG-Sidelink-U). Also described herein are SL techniques for transmission power control of SL communications and clear channel assessment (CCA) procedures.

Systems, methods, and devices for NR sidelink in the unlicensed spectrum

In an example method, a user equipment (UE) device receives a slot of data from a base station (BS). The UE device determines a quality of a wireless channel between the BS to the UE device, including determining (i) a metric for a interval extending from a sequentially first symbol of the slot of data to a symbol immediately preceding the first subset of symbols, (ii) a metric for an interval extending from the sequentially first symbol of the slot of data to a sequentially last symbol of the first subset of symbols, (iii) a metric for an interval extending from the sequentially first symbol of the slot of data to a symbol immediately preceding the second subset of symbols, and/or (iv) a metric for an interval extending from the sequentially first symbol of the slot of data to a sequentially last symbol of the second subset of symbols.

Technologies in multi-PDSCH transmission in a wireless network

Systems and methods of a wireless communications system using signals not traditionally used for positioning purposes for positioning measurements in both uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) are described herein. A user equipment (UE) may generate a UE capability information message indicating one or more signal types that the UE can process for DL positioning measurements and/or that the UE can send for UL positioning measurements. The one or more signal types so indicated may include signals not traditionally used for positioning measurements. The UE may send, to the base station, the UE capability information message. The wireless communications system may then configure the base station and/or the UE to use such signal types with one or more positioning methods. In some embodiments, the base station may also indicate to the UE a subset of signals of an indicated type which should be processed for DL measurements/sent for UL measurements.

Using non-positioning signals for positioning in downlink and/or uplink

Enhanced channel state information (CSI) reporting may include encoding a CSI reporting configuration associated with a first transmission and reception point (TRP) and a second TRP. The CSI reporting configuration may include at least one codebook configuration. The at least one codebook may include at least one of a rank restriction configuration or a codebook subset restriction (CBSR) configuration. The at least one of the rank restriction configuration or the CBSR configuration may correspond to at least one of a particular type of TRP measurement, a particular TRP of the first TRP or the second TRP, or channel measurement resources (CMRs) associated with at least one of the first TRP or the second TRP. A CSI measurement communication received from a user equipment (UE) may be decoded. The CSI measurement communication may be based on the decoded CSI reporting configuration.

Enhanced CSI reporting for multi-TRP operation

A method for operating user equipment (UE) includes generating, by the UE, a transmit precoding matrix indicator (TPMI) list including one or more TPMIs selected from a set of available TPMIs stored at a base station (BS). Data indicative of the TPMI list is transmitted to the BS. An index of the TPMI list is transmitted to the BS. Downlink control information (DCI) is received from the BS including an indication of at least one TPMI from the TPMI list based on the index. Uplink data is transmitted to the BS on a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) using the at least one TPMI.

Full power uplink transmission enhancement

Systems and methods provide a channel state information (CSI) measurement based on measuring a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission. A user equipment (UE) triggers measuring of a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) from a base station. The UE triggers measuring of a DMRS for a PDSCH transmission from the base station. The UE generates a CSI report to report the CSI measurement, based on both the CSI-RS and the DMRS for the PDSCH transmission. The UE may then send the CSI report to report the CSI measurement to the base station.
