A multi-functional peripheral combination apparatus includes a multi-functional peripheral, a portable electronic equipment and a transforming unit being electrically connected between the multi-functional peripheral and the portable electronic equipment for image management, file management and other administrative affairs. Furthermore, the operation applied to both of the portable electronic equipment and the multi-functional peripheral is configured to preview the working image before the processing of the multi-functional peripheral, and then to edit and revise the image.

A searching system employs a global positioning system (GPS) and a wireless communication system to enable a second transceiver to trace the distance and the directions of a plurality of first transceivers. The first transceiver can automatically call the second transceiver user when the user of the first transceiver is at rest in excess of a predetermined interval or has a body temperature lower than a critical value. The user of the first transceiver can push an emergency button on the first transceiver to call the user of the second transceiver for help.

A cable fastening device is provided having a sector-shaped housing including detachable lower and upper housings having a hollow arcuate raised member at a corner with a longitudinal central hole formed in the arcuate raised member, an internal arcuate grooved rail adjacent to the hole, first teeth adjacent to the grooved rail, an internal circuit board; and a hollow positioning means having a top side, two sides, and a bottom side including a pair of first posts raised from predetermined positions of the top and bottom sides respectively. A pair of arcuate recesses are provided on the top and bottom sides respectively, each having second teeth, and a transverse cable passing hole formed therein. The first posts are inserted into the central holes. The arcuate recesses are slidably engaged against the grooved rail, and the second teeth are engaged with the first teeth so as to tooth-by-tooth laterally move a cable along the arcuate recesses in order to adjust cable direction. The device further includes an arcuate recessed portion having an aperture provided on one straight edge of the housing, a pivotal member having an arcuate raised side and a planar side, a second post formed on the arcuate raised side, and a spring on the second post. The second post is inserted into the aperture such that the pivotal member may pivot vertically a limited angle with respect to the attached device.

A method for expanding hot keys on a keyboard is provided wherein the standard key codes for alphabets A-Z, numbers 1-0, functional keys F1-F12, can be combined with E0 code of special key of the IBM keyboard, accordingly, a new expanding codes are established, These so defined extendible codes are supported by the application program of the Windows to increase the utilization of the hot keys. These extendible codes are completely compatible with IBM PC. Besides, interference resulted from expanding the utilization scope of the standard codes of the operating system can be avoided.

The present invention relates to an automobile windshield wiper protection device for raising the windshield wiper to be spaced from the windshield, thereby reducing degradation of the rubber wiper blade which are normally in contact with the windshield heated by the sun, and preventing dirts from accumulating between the wiper blade and the windshield. The present invention includes a housing to be disposed on the windshield wiper. The housing accommodates a DC motor for actuating a driving mechanism. The driving mechanism includes a telescopic pusher rod capable of effecting a linear motion, and the pusher rod urges against the windshield for raising the wiper blade. A double pole double throw switch is incorporated in the circuit, and is electrically connected to the ignition system of the vehicle, such that the wiper blade is lowered or raised in response to the switching on and off of the ignition system.
