Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for configuration of small data transmission. In example embodiments, a metric of mobility is determined in an inactive state. Based on the metric of mobility, one of a small data transmission procedure and a connection establishment procedure is selected for data transmission. Further, the selected one of the small data transmission procedure and the connection establishment procedure is initiated for the data transmission.

Disclosed are methods for a channel state information (CSI) reporting. An example method may include receiving a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration information for configuring a plurality of DRX groups including a first DRX group with a first cell configured with CSI reporting resources, determining at least one DRX group in active time from the plurality of DRX groups, and reporting CSI over the CSI reporting resources on the first cell based on the DRX configuration information and the active time. Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a device, method, apparatus and computer readable storage medium of scheduling request (SR) and random access (RA) triggering for small data transmission (SDT). In example embodiments, a terminal device receives, from a network device, a configuration of one or more configured grant (CG) resources for a SDT procedure and a list of one or more data radio bearers (DRBs) associated with respective logical channels (LCHs) allowed for SDT over at least one of the one or more CG resources. After the terminal device initiates the SDT procedure in an inactive mode, if the terminal determines that a buffer status report (BSR) is triggered, the terminal device determines whether a configuration of a SR mask is to be applied for a LCH configured for SDT.

The method comprises: receiving, from a second device, a first plurality of parameters associated with a connection resume procedure between the first device and the second device; in accordance with a determination that the connection resume procedure is to be performed, transmitting, in the inactive state and to the second device, a request for connection resume, the request comprising one or more of the first plurality of parameters; and performing the connection resume procedure with the second device. Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to transmit power control for beam management. The first device transmits a first configuration to a second device. The first configuration indicates information about at least one candidate beam assigned to the second device. Alternatively, or in addition, the first configuration further indicates a correspondence between the at least one candidate beam and a plurality of transmission occasions, where the plurality of transmission occasions are allocated by the first device for transmission from the second device to the first device while the second device is in an inactive mode. The first device detects transmissions from the second device according to the first configuration at the plurality of transmission occasions. Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to apparatus, method and computer readable storage media of scheduling request management. The method includes in accordance with a determination that data on a logical channel is available for transmission, determining, at an apparatus, whether there is pending data available for transmission on one or more further logical channels; and in accordance with a determination that there is pending data available for transmission, determining a set of target scheduling request, SR, configurations available for a SR procedure from a plurality of candidate SR configurations associated with the logical channel and the one or more further logical channels; and performing the SR procedure based on the target SR configuration. In this way, the waste of the SR configurations can be avoided and the SR may be transmitted using the fastest SR opportunity.

Scheduling request management

Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose devices, methods and apparatuses for small data transmission (SDT). A terminal device receives, from a network device, an indication message indicating the terminal device to initiate a mobile terminated SDT (MT-SDT). Moreover, the terminal device indicates an access reason of a connection attempt to the network device based on an operation status of the connection attempt.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses, and computer readable medium for small data transmission (SDT). A first device, in response to first data to be transmitted via a SDT corresponding to a first set of resources for a random access procedure and a second set of resources for a configured grant procedure, determine a target resource for at least a part of the first data based on a logical channel restriction on the SDT; and transmit, to a second device, at least the part of the first data on the target resource. In this way, the SDT procedure can be performed with logical channel restrictions, which allows a better isolation of services through specific resource selection. Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to for skipping monitoring of downlink control channel in random access. A first device receives from a second device a command indicating the first device to skip monitoring a downlink control channel between the second device and the first device for a time period. In response to the random access procedure being triggered by a first trigger condition, the first device determines whether the time period overlaps with a time window associated with a random access procedure. The first device ignores or performs the command based on the determination.

The method comprises obtaining an impact factor associated with RA of a terminal device to a network device, the impact factor indicating at least one of the following: a synchronization status between the terminal device and the network device, a status of a channel between the terminal device and the network device for performing RA, a capability of the terminal device for supporting early data transmission (EDT), a predefined access category of the terminal device, or a RA mode-related indication received from the network device; selecting a RA mode at least in part based on obtained impact factor; and performing RA to the network device with the selected RA mode.
