Techniques described herein may include new and enhanced solutions for several aspects of inter-UE communications. For example, techniques described herein may provide inter-UE coordination techniques for different types of resource sets, sensing operations for inter-UE communication, and how UEs involved in inter-UE communication may be determined. In additional, or alternative, examples, techniques described herein may provide solutions for post-collision schemes, including how certain resource sets may be applied, whether and how to jointly transmit post-collision and pre-collision indications, and how to determine the resources for post-collision indication.

Inter-UE communication coordination and collision response

A cell performs simultaneous scheduling for a group of user equipment (UE). The cell associates a radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) with a group of user equipment (UEs), transmits a signal to the group of UEs, the signal scrambled by the RNTI and including control information and performs an operation indicated in the control information.

Scheduling a group of user equipment by a network cell

Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform beam failure detection. The UE may establish communication with a base station. The UE may determine one or more beams to perform downlink communication from the base station. The UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of a first type of downlink reference signals to perform beam failure detection. The UE may perform signal quality measurements for the one or more beams using the first type of downlink reference signals. The UE may determine beam failure of at least one beam of the one or more beams based on said performing signal quality measurements.

The exemplary embodiments relate to determining that code block group (CBG) based transmissions are enabled, transmitting, via an unlicensed spectrum, configured grants comprising one or more CBG based transmissions and one or more transport block (TB) based transmissions and receiving a downlink feedback information (DFI) downlink control information (DCI) format, wherein the DFI DCI format comprises a hybrid automatic repeating request (HARQ) bitmap corresponding to the TB based transmissions and a HARQ bitmap corresponding to the CBG based transmissions. The exemplary embodiments may be implemented in a computer readable storage medium, a user equipment (UE) or an integrated circuit.

Configured grant based uplink transmissions in wireless communication

A wireless user equipment (UE) device may transmit a random access preamble to a base station, using a physical resource on an uplink signal. After failing to receive an initial transmission of a response message from the base station (BS), the UE device may monitor for one or more retransmissions of the response message. Each of the retransmission may include a corresponding transmission number. As an alternative, each of the retransmissions may be at least partially scrambled using a corresponding Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI). As another alternative, a window for monitoring and RNTI calculation may be extended to include the one or more retransmissions. The successive retransmissions may include the same set of UE-specific payloads, or, a decreasing set of payloads over time as UE devices acknowledge successful receipt of their respective payloads.

Retransmission of MsgB in two-step random access procedure

A user equipment (UE) is provided to implement a set of transmit power control (TPC) commands during a time domain window (TDW) including multiple physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions. The UE can receive a configuration from the base station to configure the UE to support a power control mode and a timeline measurement related to a PUSCH transmission. The UE can receive a set of TPC commands during the TDW, determine whether a TPC command of the set of TPC commands satisfies a time constraint based on the timeline measurement, determine an effective TPC command for the set of TPC commands based on one or more TPC commands satisfying the time constraint, determine an effective delay for the effective TPC command based on the timeline measurement, and further apply the effective TPC command to a PUSCH transmission determined based on the effective delay of the effective TPC command.

Performing a UE-triggered lower layer-based handover may include performing measurements of source gNB CSI-RS samples associated with a source gNB. Measurements of target gNB CSI-RS samples associated with a target gNB may be performed, wherein the CSI-RS samples associated with the source gNB and the CSI-RS samples associated with the target gNB are transmitted in a burst structure. A subset of the source gNB CSI-RS samples and the target gNB CSI-RS samples may be filtered using a layer 1 or a layer 2 filter. A filtered result for each of the subset of source gNB CSI-RS samples and the subset of target gNB CSI-RS samples may be generated. Based on the generated filtered result for each of the subset of source gNB CSI-RS samples and the subset of target gNB CSI-RS samples, determining whether a handover from the source gNB to the target gNB is to occur.

Techniques for channel access by a user device with uplink (UL) cancellation in unlicensed bands

A user equipment (UE) is connected to a wireless network and operates in a carrier aggregation (CA) state that includes a first connection to a primary cell and a second connection to a secondary cell. The UE determines a beam failure has occurred for one of the first connection or the second connection and initiates a beam failure recovery (BFR) operation. The BFR operation includes transmitting, to the primary cell, a BFR Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE).

A wireless device receives first control information through a sidelink control channel specifying one or more first time slots for the wireless device to transmit a sidelink acknowledgment message over a sidelink feedback channel. The wireless device receives a resource grant through a downlink control channel, wherein the resource grant specifies one or more second time slots for the wireless device to transmit an uplink transmission over an uplink channel. The first and second time slots at least partially overlap, and it is selectively determined whether to transmit the sidelink acknowledgment message or the uplink transmission during the overlapping time slots.

An RRC state is introduced to support a wakeup radio/, including defining transition mechanisms to/from existing RRC states. Further, signaling is introduced to activate a wakeup radio/activate an RRC low power state. Additionally, a bandwidth part framework for a wakeup signal is defined in which a base station may configure one or more time/frequency resources or a wakeup signal for a wakeup radio. In addition, various mechanisms are introduced to switch a wakeup radio on as well as to switch a wakeup radio off. The wireless device may determine a quasi-co-located assumption for aperiodic channel state information reference signals for the downlink control information. Signals received according to the quasi-co-located assumption for aperiodic channel state information reference signals may be buffered by the wireless device if a scheduling offset for the downlink control information is below a scheduling offset threshold.

Quasi-co-located assumption for aperiodic CSI-RS for multi-TRP operation

A wireless network may include a base station and user equipment (UE). The UE may transmit uplink (UL) signals to the base station using a dynamically adjustable maximum UL duty cycle. When the UE identifies that a user is in proximity to the UE, the UE may transmit an indicator to the base station. The indicator may identify that a radio-frequency exposure (RFE) event has occurred and/or a suggested maximum UL duty cycle that would allow the UE to satisfy limits on RFE. The base station may limit a UL grant to the UE so that the UE performs subsequent communications using the suggested maximum UL duty cycle or a different maximum UL duty cycle. Coordinating adjustment of UL duty cycle in this way may allow the UE to meet limits on RFE without requiring the UE to perform maximum transmit power level reductions.
