The process includes acquiring, from a relay device that relays a packet between a first communication device and a second communication device, a plurality of first delay times generated by a round trip of the packet between the first communication device and the relay device, and a plurality of second delay times generated by a round trip of the packet between the second communication device and the relay device, sorting separately the plurality of first delay times and the plurality of second delay times based on a length of a delay time, and calculating device delay times based on a first delay calculation that calculates a difference between each of the plurality of first delay times and each of the plurality of second delay times in a same rank after the sorting.

Packet analysis device and packet analysis method

An available bandwidth measuring apparatus classifies, into one group, a plurality of virtual machines communicating with a physical node. Then, the available bandwidth measuring apparatus obtains available bandwidth measurements with respect to the virtual machines belonging to the same group by transmitting, to the physical node, measuring packets emulating each of the virtual machines. The available bandwidth measurements represent available bandwidth available when each of the virtual machines performs data transmission in a different time slot. Based on the available bandwidth measurements, the available bandwidth measuring apparatus determines actual available bandwidth of each of the virtual machines, to be used when the virtual machines perform data transmission to the physical node in the same time slot, and notifies each of the virtual machines of the actual available bandwidth determined for the virtual machine.

Method and apparatus for available bandwidth measurement

A system includes: a transmitting device, switch devices, receiving devices, and a control device. Each of the receiving devices carries out a process including monitoring increase in size of a congestion window which the transmitting device includes, measuring a round trip time, calculating a minimum throughput in one or more target flows whose volume is not smaller than a given size among flows whose packets are received when the increase in the size of the congestion window becomes a steady state, creating a setting window size that is a receive window size for setting on a basis of an already-set window size that is size of a receive window set in a past response packet and a calculated window size that is size of a receive window calculated from the minimum throughput, and transmitting a response packet in which the setting window size is set to the transmitting device.

System, method, and receiving device

A switch device includes a retaining unit, a switching processing unit, an identifying unit, and a rewriting unit. The retaining unit retains a flow table that maps each flow to a flag indicating whether the amount of transmitted data is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold. The switching processing unit stores a data packet received by a receiving buffer in one of a plurality of output queues provided for respective transmission ports based on the destination. The identifying unit identifies data packets included in a flow in which the amount of data is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold, from the data packets received by the receiving buffer. The rewriting unit refers to congestion notification information included in each of the identified data packets, and rewrites information indicating congestion to information indicating no congestion when the congestion notification information includes the information indicating congestion.

Switch device, information processing system, and method for controlling switch device

A switch device includes a receiving buffer, a switching processing unit, a determining unit, a generating unit, and a transmitting unit. The receiving buffer receives a data packet from a communication device. The switching processing unit stores the data packet received by the receiving buffer to one of a plurality of output queues provided for respective transmission ports based on the destination. The determining unit determines whether the amount of data in the output queues is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold. If the determining unit determines that the amount of data in any one of the output queues is equal to or more than the predetermined threshold, the generating unit generates a notifying packet for notifying that congestion has occurred. The transmitting unit transmits the notifying packet generated by the generating unit to another switch device.
