An energy storage and release apparatus and a method for energy storage and release are disclosed. The energy storage and release apparatus includes a first compression unit, a first heat exchange unit, a gas storage unit, and a turbine unit. The first heat exchange unit is directly or indirectly connected between the gas storage unit and the first compression unit. A first gas enters the first compression unit via a first inlet; sequentially passes through the first compression unit, the first heat exchange unit, the gas storage unit, and the turbine unit; and then is discharged. A first temperature of the first gas before entering the first heat exchange unit is higher than a second temperature of the first gas after passing through the first heat exchange unit, and a first heat energy is provided by a temperature difference between the first temperature and the second temperature.

A phase-locked pivot assembly includes a support component. A first shaft and a second shaft pivot relative to the support component. A first annular body is configured to rotate with the first shaft. The first annular body includes a first outer annular surface and a first sunken arc portion. A second annular body is configured to rotate with the second shaft and corresponds to the first annular body. The second annular body includes a second outer annular surface and a second sunken arc portion. The first sunken arc portion and the second outer annular surface are matched and selectively contact each other to lock the first shaft. The second sunken arc portion and the first outer annular surface are matched and selectively contact each other to lock the second shaft.

An electrical signal connector for connecting a coaxial cable to a mating connector is disclosed to include a locknut, a metal central tube inserted through the locknut and defining a stop flange at one end, a barbed retaining portion at an opposite end, a locating groove around the periphery between the stop flange and barbed retaining portion and an annular bearing surface portion extending around the periphery between the stop flange and the locating groove, a chuck unit including a collar, which is press-fitted onto the annular bearing surface portion of the metal central tube and having longitudinal clamping strips suspending around the barbed retaining portion of the metal central tube, and a constraint shell surrounding the collar, and an actuation sleeve mounted within the constraint shell around the collar and manually axially movable relative to the chuck unit between two positions to compress or release the longitudinal clamping strips.

Electrical signal connector

A hinge is mounted between a cover and a base of an electronic device and has a supporting bracket, a rotating bracket, a mounting bracket and a pintle. The supporting bracket is connected to the base, and the rotating bracket is connected to the cover. The mounting bracket is attached to the supporting bracket and has a positioning wing and two sleeves. The pintle is attached to the rotating bracket, is mounted through the mounting bracket and has a flat wall. The flat wall of the pintle selectively abuts against the positioning wing of the mounting bracket to hold the cover at a desired position. The abrasion between the sleeves and the pintle balances torque.

Hinge

A hinge has a pintle, a spacer assembly, a stationary bracket and a rotating bracket. The pintle is mounted through the spacer assembly and is connected to the stationary and rotating brackets. The spacer assembly has multiple spacers stacked with each other. Each spacer has a ring segment and a bearing segment. The ring segment is mounted around the pintle. The bearing segment has an absorbing space to absorb the stress acting on the ring segment. Therefore, the spacer sustains less stress to prevent breakage easily and a lifespan of the spacer is extended. Therefore, the hinge has a longer lifespan.

A coaxial connector includes a clamping tube, which has a narrow body, a tapered head axially forwardly and radially outwardly extended from the narrow body, a stop flange extending around the periphery of the distal end of the tapered head, a retaining structure located on the inside of the distal end of the tapered head and longitudinal slits axially extending from the narrow body through the tapered head and the stop flange, and a chuck shell, which is sleeved onto the clamping tube and axially movable between the narrow body and the tapered head to force the retaining structure into engagement with the outer thread of the metal connection member of the complementary Female connector or to allow disengagement of the retaining structure from the outer thread of the metal connection member of the complementary Female connector.

Coaxial connector

A pivotal hinge has a seat and a shaft, and a first end of the shaft is inserted into the seat. A second end of the shaft is inserted into multiple washers, a first and a second positioning ring, multiple elastic rings and a cushion ring in turn. The first positioning ring can be positioned relative to the second positioning ring and with the friction force of the washers, the excellent position effect can be achieved. Hence, a cover of a laptop computer can be positioned to the chassis of the laptop computer at a desired height.

Pivotal hinge

A hinge has a stationary leaf, multiple resilient flat washers and a pintle. The stationary leaf has a sleeve. The resilient flat washers are mounted in the sleeve and each resilient flat washer has a ring and a key wing. The ring has a receiving recess formed in a first surface and a mounting rib formed in a second surface. The receiving recess of each resilient flat washer engages the mounting rib of a corresponding resilient flat washer. With the engagements of the receiving recesses and the mounting ribs, the resilient flat washers are connected to each other to enhance the strength of the resilient flat washers. Therefore, the resilient flat washers are strong enough to bear the abrasion for long term use.

Hinge with multiple strength-enhanced resilient flat washers

A rotatable hinge includes a fixed frame provided to be adapted for engagement with a laptop computer base and a rotatable portion rotatable relative to the fixed frame and provided to be adapted for engagement with a laptop computer screen. The fixed frame is composed of a circular wall and a connection base integrally formed with the circular wall. The rotation portion has an extension extending from a bottom of the sleeve to be received in a through hole defined in the circular wall so that the rotation portion is able to be rotatable relative to the fixed portion. The extension has a flange formed thereon and a sectorial block formed on an outer periphery of the flange. The circular wall has a limiting boss formed on a peripheral edge thereof to be selectively connected to the sectorial block so as to limit the rotational movement of the rotation portion relative to the fixed frame.

Positioning structure for a rotatable hinge

A hinge includes a shank, a rotation bracket adapted to securely connect to a display of a laptop computer, a fixed bracket adapted to securely connect to a base of the laptop computer and at least one friction bracket securely connected to the fixed bracket and having friction pads provided on opposite sides of the at least one friction bracket. Each of the friction pads has an aperture so defined that after the threaded portion of the shank extends through the apertures of the friction pads, the friction pads pivot together with the shank to generate holding force with the fixed bracket for holding the display in position.

Friction enhanced hinge to provide positioning force to hold a display at a position as required

A robust hinge has a redundant positioning capability, is mounted between a cover and a base and has a keyed pivot pin, a rotating leaf, a stationary leaf and a spacer assembly. The rotating leaf is attached to the keyed pivot pin and connects to the cover. The stationary leaf is mounted around the keyed pivot pin, connects to the base and has a primary stationary positioning element. The spacer assembly is mounted around the keyed pivot pin and has primary and secondary rotating positioning elements and a secondary stationary positioning element. Each stationary positioning element has a detent. Each rotating positioning element has a protrusion corresponding to the detent. The protrusions engage the detents to provide the redundant positioning capability to keep the cover form hitting the base. Two pairs of protrusions and detents provide the redundant positioning capability.

Robust hinge

A pivot hinge for a portable electronic device is disclosed. A base plate with a pivot tube is fixed on the main unit of the portable electronic device, and a locating bracket is fixed on the movable display panel. A shaft is inserted through the pivot tube, exposing the angular section from the other end of the pivot tube. A locking piece, a spring, and a ring are sequentially inserted over the angular section to complete the spring assembly. The interlocking of the tooth and notch enables the movable display panel to be placed in the horizontal direction over the main unit. A middle section of the shaft and the pivot tube are closely mated only when two plain facets respectively formed on the shaft and the pivot tube are matched up in the rotation of the shaft, thus abrasion damage is significantly reduced.

Pivot hinge with positioning function

A computer hinge includes a hollow cylindrical sleeve which is to receive therein the first extension and the second extension of the first stem and the second stem respectively. The sleeve has an arcuate block integrally formed on one end face of the sleeve to optionally engage with opposite ends of the first connection portion. Furthermore, a limit formed on the second stem to selectively connect to the stop on the sleeve is able to provide a separation force to separate the screen from the main frame.
