Provided are a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving channel information in a wireless communication system. The method for transmitting and receiving channel information in a wireless communication system includes: receiving information about a channel information providing method from a base station; receiving, from the base station, a reference signal for measuring a channel status between the base station and the terminal; determining channel information for a plurality of services, based on the information about the channel information providing method and the reference signal; and transmitting, to the base station, the channel information for the plurality of services.

The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system that will be provided to support a higher data transmission rate beyond a 4G communication system such as LTE. Disclosed is an interference measurement method and device in a flexible duplex system. Apparatus and method for minimizing errors by a cell edge user in a multi-cell communication system

An apparatus and method are provided for precoding by limited cooperation in a wireless communication system. A method of data precoding by a Base Station (BS) in a wireless communication system includes determining a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) parameter indicating channel size information between the BS and a User Equipment (UE) served by the BS; transmitting the determined CQI parameter through a backhaul to a central unit; receiving, from the central unit, a weight factor based on a CQI parameter from each cell; and determining a precoding vector based on the weight factor. The weight factor represents a relative ratio of an inter-cell environment that is to be interfered by the BS.

Apparatus and method for precoding by limited cooperation in a wireless communication system

The present invention relates to a method of forming a random beam, and a beam forming apparatus. A quantization preprocessor and a random unitary matrix having a predetermined pattern are used to form a beam on a mobile terminal. A base station forms a beam using a codeword index of a quantization codebook received from a mobile terminal and channel quality information corresponding to the codeword index, and the mobile terminal generates the codeword index and the channel quality information using pilot signals generated by the base station. The number of pilot signals is equal to the number of transmitting antennas. Therefore, a codebook that has been known to both the mobile terminal and the base station is used, and the mobile terminal can select the codeword index for quantization, which makes it possible to selectively give diversity and thus improve the system efficiency.

Beam forming method and apparatus

The present invention relates to a precoder and a precoding method in a multi-user multi-antenna communication System. When a transmission part () having a plurality of antennas transmits a plurality of signals to a receiving part () having an antenna, the precoder and the precoding method using the same prevents System performance degradation caused by interference signals and efficiently reduces transmission power while changing the constellation rotary angle. When the power is controlled by using the precoder, the System performance is enhanced while not damaging the structural gain of the existing multi-user multi-antenna precoder.

The present invention relates to a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system for enhancing transmission performance. The MIMO system uses space-time encoding and transmit antenna selection methods, and includes a transmitter () and a receiver (). Provided are an apparatus and method for eliminating multi-user interference in a codebook-based beamforming system. A transmitter for providing a service to multi-users in the codebook-based beamforming system includes a beamformer for generating beamformed user signals by multiplying transmit data of users, to whom the service is to be provided, by corresponding weighting factor vectors using feedback information; a null space generator for generating a null space matrix orthogonal to weighting factor vectors of other users; and a projector for projecting the beamformed user signals on the corresponding null space matrix and transmitting the resulting signals through a plurality of antennas. Because the multi-user signals can maintain orthogonality, the performance degradation caused by the multi-user interference can be prevented.

Provided is a scheduling apparatus and method for allocating resources to individual users in a multiantenna system. The method includes determining a ratio of time slots to be allocated according to a ratio desired by each of the terminals in every specific time slot interval, calculating a channel capacity average and a standard deviation for each terminal according to channel capacity reported from each terminal for a specific time, and determining, based on the determined ratio of time slots, a terminal to which a specific time slot is to be allocated according to the channel capacity average and the standard deviation, calculated for each terminal, and the last reported channel capacity.

Apparatus and method for scheduling resources in a multiantenna system

A user allocating apparatus and method in a multiple antenna mobile communication system supporting multi-user diversity is provided. Each user calculates effective Signal-to-Interference Noise Ratios (SINRs) and bit loading over every possible detection order and selects a detection order maximizing the number of channels with a minimum product of the minimum symbol distance of a modulation scheme and an effective SINR, thereby minimizing an average error probability. A base station receives detection orders from users and selects a user with a maximum detection order value. The base station then transmits data to the selected user using modulation schemes determined by the user for the transmit antennas.

Apparatus and method for allocating user in a multiple antenna mobile communication system supporting multi-user diversity

Disclosed herein is a scheduling method and apparatus based on eigen values robust against spatial correlation in a mobile communication system supporting multiple users by use of multiple transmit/receive antennas. A user terminal estimates channel characteristics from the transmit antennas to the user terminal, decomposes the estimated channel characteristics into receive channel characteristics and transmit channel characteristics, and feeds back a transmit principal eigen vector to the base station (BS). The BS selects a predetermined number of user terminals having the least correlation using the feedback principal eigen vectors from a plurality of user terminals, constructs a user precoding matrix by combining the principal eigen vectors of the selected user terminals, multiplies data streams for the selected user terminals by the user precoding matrix and transmits the multiplied data to the selected user terminals.

Method and apparatus for scheduling multiple users in a mobile communication system using multiple transmit/receive antennas

An apparatus and method for performing channel estimation in an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system using multiple antennas, and a method for performing channel estimation using received sub-carriers in an OFDM system for receiving a sub-carrier having a training symbol and another sub-carrier having no training symbol comprising the steps of: a) differently setting a weight associated with a reliability of the sub-carrier having the training symbol and a weight associated with a reliability of the sub-carrier having no training symbol, b) measuring channel estimation errors associated with individual received sub-carriers, and c) performing channel estimation using the measured channel estimation errors and the set weights.

Apparatus and method for performing channel estimation in an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system using multiple antennas

The present invention based on the LUT enables to perform a filtering at a low speed on a place where a high-speed process is necessary. Particularly, the LUT structure having a block structure is advantageous for filtering at a low speed, and for decreasing memory usage. The filter structure proposed by the present invention provides the equivalent performances to those of the traditional ones, yet conducts the filtering on an interpolation process requiring a high-speed process previously at a low speed and at a low power instead. Moreover, compared to the traditional LUT based filter, the present invention provides a new structure with a decreased memory demand. In short, the present invention provides a new filter structure that enables to implement an interpolation filter, a high-speed processor of a sending end in a wireless telecommunication system, with a low complexity and a low power consumption.
