A scanning method for determining the touch position of a touch input apparatus is disclosed. First of all, a first exposure process on light sensors of the touch input apparatus by light emitting device of the touch input apparatus is performed. Then the light sensors are scanned. A light sensor generating a signal with a maximum value is located. A region of partial scan of the light sensors is determined according to the position of the light sensor generating the signal with the maximum value. A second exposure process is performed on the light sensors. Then the light sensors within the region of partial scan are scanned. A light sensor generating a signal with a maximum value within the region of partial scan is located and a next region of partial scan is determined. The maximum value of the signal is calculated and the maximum value of the signal is compared to a predetermined value to determine whether the maximum value is higher than the predetermined value.

Scanning method for determining a touch position of a touch input apparatus

A flexible tablet is disclosed, and particular disclosed a flexible tablet having both of a hard housing structure and a soft housing structure. The flexible tablet fix a control board in the hard housing structure for preventing the control board form bending and break resulting from external force. In the flexible tablet, the soft housing structure is applied instead of the hard housing of a conventional tablet to fix a sensing board therein. Therefore, the soft housing structure and the sensing board are integrated to form a flexible writing member of the flexible tablet. As a consequence of foregoing structure, the tablet is flexible and convenient to be stored and carried, and the cost of the tablet is reduced.

The present invention relates to a new layout for inductive loops of the electromagnetic-induction system, and particularly relates to a new layout for inductive loops of the electromagnetic-induction system which can be integrated with another type of input system. The multi-induction loop layout of the invention comprises a plurality of inductive loops, one terminal of each inductive loop connecting to a loop switch, and the other terminal connecting to the common node. The invention, an improved device and method for the pointer system of a digitizer tablet, is to repetitiously emit signals sequentially from a specific set of inductive loop when the position pointed by the wireless pointer device is located within a range formed by this specific set of inductive loop induced most intensively during a locally scanning process. After a transient energy storage of the wireless pointer device, corresponding resonant signals are emitted out and are received sequentially by several sets of inductive loop located on the digitizer tablet in the neighborhood of this specific set of inductive loop and, by these signals, the wireless pointer device's coordinate position on the digitizer tablet is calculated out relatively. Thereby, the intensities of the resonant signals received by these several sets of inductive loop will be displayed as a linear distribution, such that the calculation formula for coordinate position and the design for relative circuit elements may be simplified greatly, and the production cost and the power consumption may further be lowered down effectively.

Device and method for pointer system of digitizer tablet

An electromagnetic induction device with a writing function is disclosed in this present invention. The design of this invention combines an electromagnetic induction device and a writing device in a pen-like device. The electromagnetic induction device can be employed as a pointer device of a tablet. The writing device can be used as an ink pen. Moreover, while writing on paper, the tablet can detect and calculate the coordinates of the writing device and save the coordinates in memory device, such as a RAM. After communicating with the host machine, the monitor can response and display the handwriting trace. Hence, it is very convenient for a user to bring and carry a pen-like device with multiple functions according to this invention.

The computer peripheral input system comprises a first input module, a second input module and control means having a communication interface installed therein. The first input module is used for inputting at least a first input data and generating a first input signal corresponding thereto. Control means reads and processes the first and second input signals, and then stores a first and second information respectively corresponding thereto. A pressure sensitive pen is provided. The pressure sensitive pen comprises a core body, an elastic element, a first magnetic body having one coil formed of at least a wire wound around, a second magnetic body, a sliding member, a hollow cylindrical body with an annular element formed therein and an inductance-capacitance type resonant circuit. The resonant circuit is electrically connected with the first magnetic body having the coil wound around. When a force is upward applied on the core body, the force is further applied on the sliding member through the core body such that the sliding member in conjunction with the second magnetic body move upward and make the elastic element deformed, and changing a predetermined distance between the first magnetic body and the second magnetic body, thereby changing an inductance generated by the coil, and the resonance frequency of the resonant circuit is thus changed.
