A method for transmitting data in a communication system employing an encoding scheme includes processing data in accordance with a particular processing scheme to provide a plurality of information symbols; shaping a constellation of the plurality of information symbols to obtain a plurality of shaped symbols; processing the plurality of shaped symbols in accordance with the encoding scheme to obtain a plurality of transformed signals such that the peak to average power ratio (PAR) of the plurality of transformed symbols is lower than the PAR would be if the information symbols were not shaped into shaped symbols prior to processing into transformed symbols, wherein the encoding scheme may be expressed in a form x=Gs, s&#x3b5;Z, G&#x3b5;R, where x is an isomorphic vector representation of transformed signals, G is an N&#xd7;N invertible generator matrix, s is a vector of a plurality of information symbols, and R represents the real domain; and transmitting the plurality of transformed signals over a communication network.

Peak to average power ratio reduction

A liquid crystal display panel structure in which each of two insertion strips has a fixing face and sliding face. The sliding face is slidably fitted with an insertion section of a casing. After a liquid crystal display face fixed with the insertion strips is placed into the casing, the sliding faces of the insertion strips coincide with the insertion sections. After the display face is slid toward one end of the casing, the sliding faces are inserted into clearances defined by the insertion sections. The insertion sections of the casing further include at feast one locating post. The insertion strip is formed with a locating hole corresponding to the locating post, whereby the display face can be more easily and quickly assembled to the casing.

Liquid crystal display panel structure

An electronic device includes a socket connector, a housing, a mounting frame, a socket retaining unit and a frame retaining unit. The socket connector has a front connector mating portion adapted for mating with a complementary electrical connector, and a rear circuit connecting portion. The housing has a side wall formed with a mounting hole which is larger than a cross-sectional size of the socket connector. The mounting frame is disposed around the socket connector, and extends through the mounting hole. The socket retaining unit is provided on the socket connector and the mounting frame, and retains the socket connector on the mounting frame. The frame retaining unit is provided on the mounting frame and the housing, and retains the mounting frame on the housing.
