A display device includes a circuit substrate, a blocker, a first and second pad located on the circuit substrate, a light-emitting element, and a first and second connecting portion. The blocker is located on the circuit substrate, and has an opposite first and second side and an opposite third and fourth side. The first pad is adjacent to the first side of the blocker. The second pad is adjacent to the second side of the blocker. The light-emitting element is located on the blocker and the first and second pads, and includes a first and second electrode. The first connecting portion is connected to the first electrode and the first pad. The second connecting portion is connected to the second electrode and the second pad. The third and fourth sides of the blocker are aligned with a side of each of the first and second connecting portions.

Display device

A light-emitting apparatus including a circuit substrate and a light-emitting device is provided. The circuit substrate includes a first electrode and a second electrode. The light-emitting device is disposed on a first surface of the circuit substrate. The light-emitting device includes a first conductive terminal and a second conductive terminal. The first conductive terminal and the second conductive terminal are embedded between the first electrode and the second electrode. In a first direction, there is a first distance between an inner edge of the first electrode and an inner edge of the second electrode, there is a second distance between an outer edge of the first conductive terminal and an outer edge of the second conductive terminal, and the first distance is greater than or equal to the second distance.

Light-emitting apparatus and manufacturing method thereof

A backlight module, a liquid crystal display using the backlight module, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The backlight module includes a bottom plate, a plurality of light source sets and at least one partition wall. A plurality of lighting areas is formed on the bottom plate and light source sets are disposed on the lighting areas, respectively. The partition wall is disposed on the bottom plate and between each two adjacent lighting areas to fully or partially block/reflect the light emitted from the lighting areas. The partition wall includes a first light-penetrable wall and a light reflective layer formed on a wall surface of first light-penetrable wall. The light reflective layer is erected on the bottom plate through the support provided by the first light-penetrable wall and its wall surface.

A backlight unit usable in a liquid crystal display. In one embodiment, the backlight unit includes a substrate having an edge zone and a central zone surrounded by the edge zone, a first plurality of light emitting elements positioned in the central zone of the substrate, a second plurality of light emitting elements positioned in the edge zone of the substrate, and an electronic controlling means for controlling the light emitted from the first plurality of light emitting elements and the second plurality of light emitting elements such that in operation, the output power per unit area by the second plurality of light emitting elements in the edge zone is less than that by the first plurality of light emitting elements in the central zone.

Backlight device with zone control

A backlight module unit and a backlight module are provided. The backlight module unit includes a first light source, a second light source, and an optical barrier. A light source interval is defined between the first light source and the second light source, while a barrier interval is defined between the optical barrier and the second light source. Because the barrier interval is substantially shorter than a half of the light source interval, the backlight module unit mixes the light evenly, and prevents the dark bands from forming due to the disposition of the optical barrier. Thereby, the backlight module that comprises the plural aforesaid backlight units will have no dark bands, mix light evenly, and be thin overall.

A backlight unit usable in a liquid crystal display. In one embodiment, the backlight unit includes a substrate, a first plurality of light emitting elements positioned on the substrate, and a second plurality of light emitting elements positioned on the substrate, where the first plurality of light emitting elements positioned on the substrate are arranged in rows, such that two neighboring rows define a first pitch therebetween and the second plurality of light emitting elements positioned on the substrate are arranged in a row such that the row of the second plurality of light emitting elements is separated from the closest neighboring row of the first plurality of light emitting elements by a second pitch, where the first pitch is less than the second pitch.

LED backlight device with deviated LED pitch

A light source for a backlight unit is disclosed. The light source includes a plurality of light emitting diode modules arranged in a manner corresponding to an array, in which each of the light emitting diode modules includes a plurality of light emitting diodes. The array includes a plurality of columns and rows. Preferably, the light emitting diodes of the light emitting diode module of any two adjacent columns are arranged in a different manner, and the light emitting diodes of the light emitting diode module of any two adjacent rows are arranged in a different manner.

Light source

A backlight module which includes at least a U-shaped fluorescent tube, a first and a second heat-dissipating structure is provided. The U-shaped fluorescent tube includes a curved tube portion, two straight-tube luminous portions and two electrode portions. Of which, each of the two straight luminous sections has one end connected to one or the other end of the curved tube portion while the two electrode portions are correspondingly disposed at the other end of the two straight-tube luminous portions which are of equal length, parallel to each other and situated at the same side of the curved tube portion. The first heat-dissipating structure which envelops the entire or partial of curved tube portion is thermal-conductively connected to the curved tube portion. The second heat-dissipating structure which envelops one of the two electrode portions is thermal-conductively connected to the enveloped electrode portion.
