A voltage regulation system is provided. In the voltage regulation system, a frequency of a clock signal is adjusted and a pulse generator is controlled to output a pulse signal to a switch power stage circuit, to enable the switch power stage circuit to adjust an output voltage and output the adjusted output voltage to the load element. Through the aforementioned configuration, the switch power stage circuit adjusts the output voltage according to the situation of the load element, thus decreasing the power loss of the switch power stage circuit.

Voltage regulation system with variable clock frequency and method thereof

A voltage regulation system utilizes a controller to select one of a continuous comparator and a discrete comparator to operate, making one of the continuous comparator and the discrete comparator output a pulse signal to the controller. The controller controls a switched power stage circuit to supply power to a load element. Through the aforementioned configuration, the switched power stage circuit adjusts the power supply based on the condition of the load element, thus decreasing the power loss of the switched power stage circuit.

Voltage regulation system and method thereof

A power converter includes a switched-capacitor conversion circuit and an inductor buck circuit. The switched-capacitor conversion circuit receives an input voltage, and is operated, according to the first switching frequency, to convert the input voltage into an intermediate voltage. The inductor buck circuit and the switched-capacitor conversion circuit are connected in series. The inductor buck circuit receives the intermediate voltage, and generates an output voltage on a conversion output terminal thereof according to the intermediate voltage. The minimum value of the first switching frequency is determined by the intermediate voltage.

A voltage regulation system, a regulator chip and a voltage regulation control method thereof are provided. The voltage regulation control method includes the steps of disabling a first regulator, and electrically connecting an input terminal of a second regulator to a power supply terminal; setting a voltage on a second terminal of a first transistor of the first regulator to a ground voltage for a predetermined period; next, turning off the first transistor and the second transistor of the first regulator; next, activating the second regulator, and detecting the voltage on the second terminal of the first transistor; when the voltage on the second terminal of the first transistor is equal to the voltage on the power supply terminal, determining that an inductor electrically connected between the first regulator and the second regulator; otherwise, determining that first regulator and the second regulator are not electrically connected to each other.

Voltage regulation system, regulator chip and voltage regulation control method

A control system of a switching voltage regulator includes an adjustable switched-capacitor conversion circuit, an error generator, and a controlling module. The adjustable switched-capacitor conversion circuit has a plurality of discrete conversion rates, and selects a corresponding conversion rate and outputs an output voltage according to a signal of the conversion rate. An error generator is connected to the adjustable switched-capacitor conversion circuit and compares the output voltage with an external reference voltage to obtain an error voltage. The controlling module is connected between the error generator and the adjustable switched-capacitor conversion circuit to store a plurality of control variable sets, and selects one of plurality of control variable sets according to the error voltage. Afterwards, the controlling module calculates to output the signal of the conversion rate and further adjust the output voltage according to the selected control variable sets.

Control system of switching voltage regulator

A DC-DC power converter circuit includes a switched-capacitor circuit, an error amplifier, a latched comparator and a switching controller. The error amplifier adjusts an error amplification signal of the error amplifier in response to an output voltage of the switched-capacitor circuit and a reference voltage. The error amplification signal is then fed to the latched comparator as a comparison reference, resulting in the DC-DC power converter circuit being able to more precisely maintain the output voltage within a predetermined range.

DC-DC power converter circuit having switched-capacitor circuit and method of controlling output voltage of the same

Illustrated are a switched-capacitor DC-DC convertor and a control method thereof. The switched-capacitor DC-DC convertor includes a switched-capacitor circuit, a latched comparator and a clock generating module. The switched-capacitor circuit converts an input voltage into an output voltage through a phase switching operation. The latched comparator receives a clock signal, and compares the output voltage and a reference voltage according to the clock signal, to generate the control signal, which triggers a phase switching operation of the switched-capacitor circuit. The clock generating module generates the clock signal, and adjusts a frequency of the clock signal according to variation of the control signal.

Switched-capacitor DC-DC convertor and control method thereof

A switched capacitor DC-DC convertor circuit and a production method thereof are described. The switched capacitor DC-DC convertor circuit includes two switched-capacitor circuits each including at least one capacitor, multiple internal switches and the same circuit layout. The internal switches of the two switched-capacitor circuits corresponding in position to each other are controlled by different control signals, and the turn-on durations of the control signals do not overlap. The capacitors of the two switched capacitor circuits are connected by an interconnection switch, and a turn-on duration of a control signal for the interconnection switch also does not overlap with that of the control signals for the internal switches. The switched capacitor DC-DC convertor circuit has a lower switching power loss compared to current state of the art.

Switched capacitor DC-DC convertor circuit and production method thereof

The present disclosure illustrates a dual-mode regulator circuit comprising: a first output terminal; a second output terminal; a switching regulator circuit coupled to the first output terminal and comprising a first transistor coupled between the first output terminal and ground; a linear regulator circuit coupled to the second output terminal and comprising a second transistor coupled between the second output terminal and a power source; a detection circuit configured to turn on the first transistor in order to connect the first output terminal to ground, turn on the second transistor in order to connect the second output terminal to the power source, and then generate a detection signal indicating whether an inductor is connected between the first and second output terminals; and a logic circuit configured to activate the switching regulator circuit or the linear regulator circuit according to the detection signal.

Dual-mode regulator circuit

A power optimization device and method thereof for energy harvesting apparatus are disclosed. The power optimization device includes a charge pump, a voltage comparator, an output switch, a counter and a frequency control module. By detecting the voltage outputted from the power optimization device under various operating frequencies to obtain a calculation result and increase or decrease an operating frequency of the charge pump according to the calculation result, so as to dynamically adjust the operating frequency to optimize the power outputted from the power optimization device according to the voltage outputted from the energy harvesting apparatus to an electricity storage unit and energy loss caused by the change of the operating frequency.
