A calibration method and a calibration device for a large-size antenna array are provided. The calibration method includes: performing an intra-group calibration on each antenna group in a plurality of antenna groups; and powering on each of the antenna groups of the plurality of antenna groups to perform an inter-group calibration on a first antenna group in the plurality of antenna groups.

Calibration method and calibration device for large-size antenna arrays

An antenna-in-package construction includes a chip layer, a second dielectric layer, and a first dielectric layer stacked in order. The first dielectric layer has a dielectric constant more than 3.5. The antenna-in-package construction includes a transmitting antenna array, a receiving antenna array, and metal isolated pillars. The transmitting antenna array extends from the chip layer to the first dielectric layer through the second dielectric layer. The receiving antenna array extends from the chip layer to the second dielectric layer. The transmitting antenna array and the receiving antenna array are arranged in an alternating interleaved sequence. The metal isolated pillars surround each transmitting antenna and each receiving antenna. The chip layer includes at least one transmitting chip and at least one receiving chip. The transmitting chip and the receiving chip are electrically connected to the transmitting antenna array and the receiving antenna array, respectively.

Antenna-in-package construction with frequency division duplex technology

A signal processing device, used to suppress cross-talk nonlinear distortion of a RF front end circuit. The first circuit generates a first PD signal and a second PD signal according to a first input signal and a second input signal. The first PD signal and the second PD signal are provided to a first PA and a second PA of the RF front end circuit. The second circuit generates a first control signal and a second control signal according to a first output signal, a second output signal, a first DPD signal and a second DPD signal, so as to control the first circuit to generate the first PD signal and the second PD signal. The first PA generates the first output signal through a first filter having a first operating BW. The second PA generates the second output signal through a second filter having a second operating BW.

A method of blind spot detection is provided. The method of blind spot detection is used for a vehicle including a first vehicle body and a second vehicle body dragged by the first vehicle body. The method of blind spot detection comprises the following steps: obtaining a turning angle information of the second vehicle body relative to the first vehicle body by a first sensor while the vehicle is moving; determining a predetermined information related to the vehicle and/or a second sensor; dynamically defining a blind spot area around the vehicle according to the turning angle information and the predetermined information; and receiving a sensing signal regarding an object around the vehicle from the second sensor to determine whether the object is located in the blind spot area.

In one of the exemplary embodiments, the disclosure is directed to a post network entry connection method applicable to a user equipment. The method would include not limited to: receiving a time unit which may include a payload region and a downlink header region which may include a first BQMR for a first scan beam and a second BQMR for a second scan beam; obtaining a first reference signal from the first BQMR and a second reference signal from the second BQMR; calculating a first signal quality measurement by using the first reference signal and calculating a second signal quality measurement by using the second reference signal; selecting the first scan beam based on the first signal quality measurement being better than at least the second signal quality measurement; and transmitting the first signal quality measurement which corresponds to the first scan beam via another time unit.

Post network entry connection method in millimeter wave communication system and related apparatuses using the same

A method of ultrasound imaging and a corresponding ultrasound scanner are provided. The method includes the steps of receiving an echo signal induced by an ultrasonic plane wave transmission from a transducer of an ultrasound scanner, resampling the echo signal in time domain and/or space domain, performing a spectrum zooming on a band of interest (BOI) of an input signal, performing a Fourier transform on a result of the spectrum zooming, and generating an ultrasound image based on a result of the Fourier transform. The input signal is generated based on the resampling of the echo signal.

In searching a central frequency of the visible light source, a plurality of central-frequency training packets are sent, the central-frequency training packets including a plurality of central-frequency candidates, and one among the plurality of central-frequency candidates is selected as the central frequency of the visible light source based on a first decoding result on the plurality of central-frequency training packets. In searching a bandwidth of the visible light source, a plurality of bandwidth training packets are sent, the bandwidth training packets including a plurality of bandwidth candidates and the central frequency of the visible light source, and one among the plurality of bandwidth candidates is selected as the bandwidth of the visible light source based on a second decoding result on the plurality of bandwidth training packets.

According to one of the exemplary embodiments, the proposed network entry method is applicable to a user equipment and includes: receiving, within an mmWave band, Q scan beams which have Q IDs over M mmWave time units as each mmWave time unit includes a payload region and a BF header region that includes N BSSs with each of the BSSs corresponding to a different one of the Q scan beams, wherein M, N, and Q are integers greater than 1 and M*N=Q; determining a best beam of the UE based on the BSSs of the Q scan beams; determining a best scan beam of the Q scan beams based on the BSSs of the Q scan beams after determining the best beam of the UE; and transmitting, within the mmWave band, a random access preamble (RAP) by using the best beam of the UE.

Network entry method of millimeter wave communication system and related apparatueses using the same

The present disclosure proposes a hierarchical beamforming method and a base station and a user equipment using the same. The method includes following steps. A network entry procedure is performed via a plurality of coarse beams by using a superframe header of a superframe corresponding to each of the coarse beams. In response to a success message associated with the network entry procedure being received, a network entry done message is transmitted by using a preferred coarse beam among the coarse beams. A user equipment (UE) connection is performed via a plurality of fine beams within a direction range of the preferred coarse beam, so as to determine a preferred fine beam by using a frame header of a basic frame corresponding to each of the fine beams, and perform a data packet transmission by using a packet transmission block of the basic frame corresponding to the preferred fine beam.

Hierarchical beamforming method and base station and user equipment using the same

According to an exemplary embodiment, an ultrasound apparatus for beamforming with a plane wave transmission may comprise a transceiver connected to a transducer array having at least one transducer element, and at least one processor. The transceiver transmits at least one substantially planar ultrasonic wave into a target region at one or more angles relative to the transducer array, and receives one or more signals responsive from the transducer array. The at least one processor applies a fast Fourier transform (FFT) to the one or more signals from each of the at least one transducer element and calculates at least one frequency within a frequency region, and applies an inverse FFT to at least one produced frequency data.

A nonlinear dynamic focusing control method includes: (1) using a minimum length in a scan line having the minimum length and a maximum length as an initial location and assigning a focal point on the scan line; (2) calculating half depth of focus of the focal point, and the initial location plus the half depth of focus of the focal point being the location of this focal point on the scan line; (3) determining an initial calculation location of the next focal point by adding the half depth of focus of the focal point from the location of this focal point on the scan line in the direction of the maximum length; and (4) determining if the initial calculation location of the next focal point is greater than the maximum length.
