A retractable handle assembly for luggage case is disclosed. In a pulling operation, press a push button to unlock a locking device such that a damping device thereunder is free to damply extend upward a predetermined distance in a substantially stable speed for easing a pulling of the handle thereafter.

Retractable luggage handle with dampish extending speed

A seamless handle grip assembly mounted on a single pulling rod of luggage is provided. The assembly comprises a tube a top grip section, a spring depressible push button a hollow, cylindrical left member inserted into a left portion of the tube, a hollow, cylindrical right member inserted into a right portion of the tube to matingly couple to the left member, a bottom grip section threadedly secured to the top grip section with the tube fastened therebetween, and a rod inserted upwardly through the bottom grip section into the tube and the spring to fixedly couple to the push button.

Seamless handle grip of luggage

A retractable handle of wheeled luggage is provided. For the case of single pulling rod, pressing a push button will tighten a connecting rod to move a lower sliding block to a one direction so that an upright rod is pressed to lower a locking member and an upright member to clear the locking member from a toothed member, thereby unlocking both the swivel handle grip and the pulling rod. For the case of two pulling rods, there is further provided another transmission mechanism so that pressing the push button will further unlock locking devices in the pulling rods via coupling rods.

A caster assembly mounted at either bottom corner of luggage comprises a cavity disposed in an underside of the bottom corner, the cavity including an upright front wall and a slanted rear wall, a wheel mount including a positioning slot in a rear of an upper portion and a caster, and pendulum member including a thinner upper section pivotably secured to the cavity and a thicker lower section. The pendulum member is upright and disengaged from the positioning slot when the luggage is upright. Further, towing the luggage forwardly, obliquely will cause a portion the lower section of the pendulum member to enter in the positioning slot by pivoting due to gravity so as to limit the caster to move forwardly.

A metal locking pin of locking device for a wheeled luggage provides a projected plastic contact member at a front most end thereof for both increasing structural strength and eliminating the noise when the locking pin is in a position of compression and being retracted to disengage from the aperture for being adapted to extend or retract the handle assembly with the plastic contact member in sliding contact with an inner surface of the support tube. Thus the invention can achieve a smooth retracting or extending operation of the handle without noise.

A retractable handle assembly of luggage comprises a single handle rod extended upward from a center at a joining edge of a top and a rear of luggage and having an upper portion and a lower portion connected to the rear; and a handle grip extended at a predetermined range of angle about a horizontal plane from a top of the handle rod toward a side of the luggage being perpendicular to the top or the rear of luggage in a stand-up position. An orientation of a hand holding the handle grip is parallel to a moving direction of the luggage being towed for facilitating an exertion of user's force thereon, thereby lowering a center of gravity of luggage for saving labor.

Single handle rod based retractable handle assembly for wheeled luggage

A handle assembly having a single handle rod of wheeled luggage is provided. The handle grip is extended toward and proximate either side of luggage for ease of holding. Also, there is no interference of user's body with wheel while towing luggage. Moreover, the handle grip is capable of being disposed either parallel or perpendicular with respect to a straight line between wheels of the luggage by rotating either clockwise or counterclockwise for ease of being gripped by either hand which tows the luggage.

Handle assembly having a single handle rod of wheeled luggage

A locking device for handle assembly with multiple stages wherein a lock member of higher lock may move into the lock hole of the next lower lock for causing a lock pin of the next lower lock to disengage. Further, there is no horizontal component force created on the slope because the lock member of the higher lock inserts into the lock hole of next lower lock as well as higher lock and next lower lock are engaged in a planar surface. This ensures that there is no gap between the higher and next lower lock such that the fully retracted handle grip may rest on the bezel.

A safety mechanism for bezel of luggage with retractable handle is disclosed. Safety device is implemented as a vertically movable F-shaped mechanism in the bezel. F-shaped mechanism is moved down into bezel as handle grip is pressed down until handle grip is locked by a locking device. Further, F-shaped mechanism is automatically returned to a predetermined position when the hand of user is off the F-shaped mechanism. The locking device of handle is deactivated when F-shaped mechanism is pressed down to a predetermined position while retracting the handle. And in turn, handle is automatically bounced up a predetermined sufficient height for facilitating user to pull the handle thereafter. Most importantly, user is prevented from being hurt while retracting the handle.

Safety mechanism for bezel of luggage with retractable handle

A swivel draw bar structure of a suitcase. A fixing sleeve is installed at the top end of the lower joint tube of the draw bar. A projective arc plate is joined at the center of the top surface of the fixing sleeve. A plurality of teeth are formed on the top surface of the arc plate. A downward straight groove is formed on the top surface of the fixing sleeve. A slide sheet is inserted in the straight groove. The bottom end of the slide sheet is a bevel joined with a bevel of a retractable button so that the retractable button can slide in a transversal groove of the fixing sleeve. The projective part of the retractable button can penetrate through the transversal groove and protrude out of a hole of the fixing sleeve to be locked in a hole of the lower joint tube. A swivel sleeve seat is joined at the bottom end of the upper joint tube. A pair of auriform sheets having holes extend downwards from the swivel sleeve seat. The holes of the auriform sheets are joined a central hole of the arc plate via a spindle. An upward longitudinal groove is formed on the bottom surface of the swivel sleeve seat for insertion of a slide retaining element. The slide retaining element is connected to the swivel sleeve seat through pin connection. The top end of the slide retaining element is joined with a drive element to drive the slide retaining element to move upwards or downwards. A tooth part is formed on the bottom surface of the slide retaining element to mesh with the teeth of the arc plate. A retaining sheet extends from the bottom surface of the slide retaining element. The bottom end of the retaining sheet contacts with the top end of the slide sheet to push the retractable button to be positioned in the lower joint tube.

A carrying case apparatus is provided. The carrying case apparatus includes a trunk body having a pair of corner wheels; a telescopic rod assembly coupled to the trunk body; and, a collapsible auxiliary wheel seat assembly also coupled to the trunk body. The telescopic rod assembly is formed with a handle and a pair of telescopic rods extending substantially in parallel therefrom, as well as linked first and second controllers for selectively locking the telescopic rods in their extended configurations and selectively locking the auxiliary wheel seat assembly in its collapsed position. The auxiliary wheel seat assembly includes an elongate member having a first end pivotally coupled to the trunk body and a second end having an auxiliary wheel coupled thereto which in its opened position serves as a stabilizing support for the trunk body.

A handle of a trunk comprises a cover and a seat, in which a telescopic pull rod is connected to a handle at an upper hand thereof. Each of two sides of the seat and cover are installed with a lower through hole and an upper through hole. The lower through hole is connected to the push rod. The left lever is disposed with a pressing piece. A driving means is connected between the seat and the cover. The driving means is formed by a left and a right levers. A linkage is connected between the two left levers. Two ends of the driving means are connected to the pressing piece and further connected to a driven means. A lower end of the driven means passes through the push rod to a retaining piece. If pressing piece is pressed, the driving means will drive the driven means at two sides so that the push rod is released to be moved telescopically. In another type of the driving means, two ends thereof are connected with a respective lever type rack. A rack portion is installed therein. A gear is connected between the racks so that the two lever type rack are interacted.

Handle of a trunk

A handle assembly of luggage comprises a handle grip with a push button, two first sliding tubes, at least one pair of second sliding tubes, two support tubes, two first locking means each provided below each first sliding tube, at least one pair of second locking means each provided below each second sliding tube, and a flexible steel cable attached between handle grip and first locking means. This ensures a fully extended handle, a significant increase of the ratio of extendible maximum length to retractable minimum length of handle, and the retracted handle grip rested on the bezel without any gap.

A multi-step positioning device of a trunk pull rod has a pair of pull rods at two sides thereof. Each pull rod has an inner upper rod and an outer lower rod therein. The rod body has two sides of round arc shapes. After engaging, the round arc portions of the two rods are formed with gaps. Porous pieces are placed in the gaps. The porous piece passes through the outer lower rod. The upper end of the outer lower rod is connected to an upper rod sleeve. Protruding buckles at two sides of the upper rod sleeve buckles with the buckling holes with respect to the outer lower rod. The lower end of the inner upper rod is connected to a lower rod sleeve. The slender end of the lower rod sleeve passes through the inner upper rod. Part of the enlarged end portion thereof having an outer diameter identical to that of the inner upper rod passes through the outer lower rod. The top end surface of the lower rod sleeve serves to be inserted by the sliding piece. A driving piece is connected at the upper end of the sliding piece. The driving piece passes through the inner upper rod to be connected to the control piece of the handle. The enlarged end of the lower rod sleeve is formed with at least one through hole facing to the porous piece. Each through hole is passed by a buckling ball. Each sliding piece is installed with semicircular grooves facing to the through hole.

Multi-step positioning device of trunk pull rod

A multi-step positioning device of a trunk pull rod has a pair of pull rods at two sides thereof. Each pull rod has an inner upper rod and an outer lower rod therein. The rod body has two sides of round arc shapes. After engaging, the round arc portions of the two rods are formed with gaps. Porous pieces are placed in the gaps. The porous piece passes through the outer lower rod. The upper end of the outer lower rod is connected to an upper rod sleeve. Protruding buckles at two sides of the upper rod sleeve buckles with the buckling holes with respect to the outer lower rod. The lower end of the inner upper rod is connected to a lower rod sleeve. The slender end of the lower rod sleeve passes through the inner upper rod. The enlarged end portion has a part identical to the inner upper rod for being engaged with the porous piece. The enlarged end portion has a part having an inner diameter identical to that of the outer lower rod for being passing through the outer lower rod. The middle rod sleeve has a sliding groove at the lateral surface thereof for being inserted by a sliding block and a spring. The sliding block is connected to a driving piece. The driving piece passes through the inner upper rod to be connected to the pull piece of the handle.
