A wheel bracket for wheeled luggage comprises a convex top portion of the wheel housing situated above the bottom plate; a raised portion formed from a higher portion to a lower portion on a surface of the front plate; and a first plurality of recesses and a plurality of longitudinal and transverse ribs formed on a back of the front plate in which one of the first recesses having a lowest height is substantially flush with a highest point of the convex top portion; wherein a second recess is formed on a bottom of the raised portion having a height generally equal to that of the convex top portion, and the second recess substantially has the same thickness in longitudinal cross-section as remaining portions of the front plate. With this construction, the raised portion of the wheel bracket substantially has the same thickness in its longitudinal cross-section. Further, the wheel bracket may be manufactured in a single injection molding with a smooth surface of the front plate.

A hook device attached to main luggage for securing auxiliary luggage thereto comprises a body including an opening, a pair of holes each provided at an inner side of the opening, a curved portion, and a hook end having a recess; and a hinged member engaged to the pair of holes having a pair of claws projected from a bottom end. The hinged member is detachably secured to the hooking body when the claws are caught in the recess, and the hinged member is disengaged from the body when the claws clear the recess. Thus the easy accessibility and the looking security for luggage hook device are readily accomplished.

A base support mechanism for a retractable handle of a wheeled luggage is disclosed. The base support mechanism comprises a base support disposed on an exterior of the luggage body and an inner plate provided on an interior of the luggage body wherein the inner plate has a pair of openings, the luggage body has a pair of openings provided on the lower portion, the base support includes a horizontal portion and a vertical portion having a pair of sockets provided on an inner side thereof. Each socket is inserted through a corresponding opening of the luggage body and a corresponding opening of the inner plate. The bottom of the support tube is further inserted into the socket. Thereafter, the support tube is secured to the socket. Finally, one wheel is secured to a side of the inner plate and the other wheel is secured to an opposite side of the inner plate for finishing the assembly of a protection device onto the luggage.
