A fluorescent lamp device includes a frequency generator for generating a pulse signal, a driver circuit coupled to said frequency generator for generating at least one driving signal according to said pulse signal, a half bridge power switch unit coupled to the driver circuit, a resonant tank coupled to the half bridge power switch unit, and a fluorescent lamp coupled to the resonant tank.

DC/AC inverter

A direct current to alternating current (DC/AC) inverter is for driving a fluorescent lamp through quasi sine wave generation. The DC/AC inverter includes a frequency generator for generating a reference signal and a modulation signal, a pulse width modulator coupled to the frequency generator for providing a pulse width modulation signal according to said modulation signal, a driver circuit coupled to the pulse width modulator for generating at least one driving signal according to the pulse width modulation signal and the reference signal, a half bridge power switch unit coupled to the driver circuit, and a resonant tank coupled to the fluorescent lamp for outputting a quasi sine wave to drive the fluorescent lamp.

A feedback circuit is utilized in a DC/AC inverter having a first power switch and a second power switch for driving a fluorescent lamp. The feedback circuit includes a protection circuit for disabling the first power switch and the second power switch when no fluorescent lamp is electrically connected, a first capacitor having a first terminal electrically connected to an output of the DC/AC inverter, a second capacitor having a first terminal electrically connected to a ground, and a second terminal electrically connected to a second terminal of the first capacitor, a diode having an anode electrically connected to the second terminals of the first and second capacitors, and a cathode electrically connected to the protection circuit, and a first resistor having a first terminal electrically connected to the cathode of the diode, and a second terminal electrically connected to the ground.

Feedback circuit for DC/AC inverter

A multi-lamps LCD back-light control circuit comprises a control unit, an full bridge switch, a resonance network circuit, a voltage transformer, a lamp, and a feedback network. A constant operating frequency and a pulse width modulation (PWM) feedback are used to control the CCFL current. The back-light control circuit is such that a power switch of the full bridge switch outputs a duty cycle that is controlled and changed via a PWM controller of the control unit, while a ground switch of the full bridge switch outputs a constant duty cycle controllable above 50%.

Back-light control circuit of multi-lamps liquid crystal display

A DC/AC inverter provided for transforming a DC voltage source into an AC power source, wherein the AC signal is used for driving a fluorescent lamp. The inverter comprises a half-bridge switch circuitry electrically connected to the DC voltage source, for outputting an AC signal, a resonant tank electrically connected between the half-bridge switch circuitry and the fluorescent lamp, for stepping up and filtering the AC signal into a high-voltage AC power source which is supplied to a load, and a controller feeding back an output of the fluorescent lamp, providing a pulse width modulation signal for turning on and off the half-bridge switch circuitry, such that the fluorescent lamp can operate consistently and provide a consistent brightness.

A controller for a driving circuit of power source comprises a frequency generator, a pulse width modulator, and a driving device. The frequency generator comprises a latch circuit. The frequency generator provides a pulse signal at a first frequency after the controller is started. After the frequency generator receives an indicating signal, the frequency generator changes the frequency of pulse signal from the first frequency to a second frequency and locks the frequency of pulse signal at the second frequency. The pulse width modulator provides a PWM signal according to the pulse signal and a feedback signal which indicates a status of electric power supply of the driving circuit. The driving device controls semiconductor switches according to the PWM signal.

Power source driving circuits and controllers thereof

A switching system capable of reducing the noise of the output signal is provided. The switching system includes a first switch and a second switch, wherein the first switch conducts a first signal according to a first control signal; the second switch conducts a second signal according to a second control signal. And the voltages of the first control signal and the second control signal are restricted within a voltage interval to reduce the noise produced during the switching of the switches.

Switching system capable of reducing noise of output signal

A voltage-controlled current source and a frequency scanner using the same are provided. The voltage-controlled current source includes an impedance circuit, an amplifier, a transistor, and a current mirror. A first terminal of the impedance circuit is coupled to a common voltage. A first terminal of the amplifier is coupled to a second terminal of the impedance circuit, and a second terminal of the amplifier receives a control voltage. A gate of the transistor is coupled to an output terminal of the amplifier, and a first source/drain of the transistor is coupled to the other terminal of the impedance circuit. The current mirror is coupled to a second drain/source of the transistor, and includes a current output terminal, wherein a current output by the current output terminal is proportional to the current flowing through the transistor.

Voltage-controlled current source and frequency scanner using the same

A control circuit for LEDs is adapted for controlling brightness of a plurality of LEDs as light source in an LCD. The control circuit comprises a control pulse generator and a plurality of LED direct current supplies. The control pulse generator is used for receiving a brightness adjusting signal and generating a plurality of brightness control pulse signals having the same frequency but different phases according to the brightness control signals. The work cycle of the brightness control pulse signal varies in a predetermined range according to the brightness control signal. The LED direct current provider is coupled to the control pulse generator to drive the corresponding LED according to the brightness pulse signal.

Apparatus of light source and adjustable control circuit for LEDs

A loading system and a controller thereof are disclosed. The controller includes an adjustable triangle wave generator, an error signal generator, and a pulse signal generator. The triangle-wave generator is adapted to perform an amplitude and frequency operation according to the reference voltage and the feedback voltage for generating an amplitude-frequency adjustable triangle wave according to a variation of the feedback voltage. The error signal generator is adapted to perform an error operation according to the feedback voltage and the reference voltage for outputting an error signal. The pulse signal generator is adapted to receive and compare the error signal and the amplitude-frequency adjustable triangle wave for outputting a pulse controlling signal for the loading system.

Controller and loading system thereof

A variable gain device having higher linearity and wider gain range is provided. The variable gain device includes a transduction unit for generating an output current, a control unit for adjusting the current gain of the gain amplifying unit according to a gain control signal, a gain amplifying unit receiving the current signal and generating a gain adjustable current according to the current gain of the control unit, an output DC level control unit controlling the DC level of the output signal of the variable gain device, and an output unit generating an output signal according to the signals output by the output DC level control unit and the gain amplifying unit.

Variable gain device

A pulse width modulation inverter circuit is provided. The circuit includes a power switch driver, a power switch, a transformer unit, a feedback detector unit, and a voltage control oscillator. The circuit is electrically coupled to the DC power source to drive a load. The circuit adjusts the pulse width of the signal outputted from the power switch driver according to the voltage inputted to the DC power source. Accordingly, the circuit can maintain a fixed input voltage received by the fluorescent tube. Thus, the high input voltage but low output phenomenon can be avoided.

Pulse width modulation inverter circuit and control method thereof

A pulse width modulation (PWM) illumination control circuit with a low visual noise for driving a light-emitting diode (LED) is provided. An illumination control pulse-generating unit is used to generate an illumination control pulse signal according to an illumination-adjusting signal. A duty cycle, a phase shift or a frequency of the illumination control pulse signal varies with time within a predetermined scope for controlling a DC/DC converter to drive the light-emitting diode so that the overall visual noise level of the PWM illumination control circuit is improved.

A digital to analog converter for an analog Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) includes a digital inlet, a latching circuitry, a voltage level shifter circuitry, a switching circuitry, and a resistance network with a resistance compensatory circuitry. The resistance network with the resistance compensatory circuitry is electrically connecting with the switching circuitry and adapted to regulate a pattern of the analog output signal so as to optimize the analog output signal. Specifically, the resistance network with a resistance compensatory circuitry is to produce the best linear conversion from the digital signal to the analog signal for use by the LCD.
