A foldable device may include a foldable layer and a hinge mechanism. The hinge mechanism may include a hinge cover fixedly coupled to a hinge base. A plurality of rotation pivots may be rotatably coupled to the hinge base and the hinge cover. A housing of a computing device may be coupled to the rotation pivots, such that, as the rotation pivots rotate into the hinge base and hinge cover, the computing device is unfolded, and as the rotation pivots rotate out of the hinge base and hinge cover, the computing device is folded. Rotation of the rotation pivots into and out of the hinge base and hinge cover may be restricted by one or more stopping mechanisms, so as to maintain a foldable display of the computing device within allowable bending limits.

A flexible display that can be adjusted by an electromagnetic mechanism to remove a deformation is disclosed. The flexible display is attached to a body that is configurable in a folded configuration or an unfolded configuration by a hinge mechanism. When unfolded the flexible display includes a deformation (i.e., warp) in an area around the hinge mechanism. Accordingly, an electromagnet is included with the hinge mechanism to remove the deformation by attracting a magnetic element is disposed on a back surface of the flexible display.

A mechanical assembly in a drawer may include a handle rotationally coupled to a cover and configured to rotate between a closed position and an open position relative to the cover. The mechanical assembly may also include a spring latch mechanically coupled to the cover and having a spring force for maintaining the spring latch in a biased position in the absence of mechanical force opposing the spring force, the spring latch having its most significant dimension in a direction perpendicular to a direction of translation of the drawer when the drawer is inserted and removed from a corresponding chassis. The mechanical assembly may further include a cam mechanically coupled to the handle and responsive to rotational motion of the handle such that in the closed position of the handle, the spring latch is in its biased position, and as the handle is rotated between the closed position and the open position, the cam causes the spring latch to deflect from its biased position in a direction perpendicular to the direction of translation.

A multi-function handle for Information Handling System (IHS) chassis is described. In some embodiments, a chassis may include a sled configured to be installed in a rack; a drawer configured to slide in and out of the sled; and a front panel comprising a handle and a selector, the selector configured to allow a user to selectively pull from the rack using the handle: (i) the drawer without the sled, or (ii) the sled and the drawer. A method may include accessing a chassis installed in a rack, the chassis comprising: (i) a drawer configured to slide in and out of a sled; and (ii) a front panel having a handle and a selector; determining that the selector is in a first position; and pulling the handle to slide the drawer without the sled outward from the rack.

Apparatus and methods that employ divider walls that are configured for insertion and proper positioning within a cavity of an information handling system chassis enclosure in a mechanically non-interfering manner prior to securement of the divider wall in a fixed position within the cavity. A divider wall may be provided that is shorter than the height of a corresponding chassis enclosure cavity to allow the divider wall to be freely inserted and fixed in position within the chassis cavity in perpendicular relationship between two opposing cavity interior surfaces without any resulting compressive forces being applied to the respective ends of the divider wall by the opposing interior surfaces of the chassis enclosure cavity.

A floating apparatus for fixing a membrane cable coupled to a fan gantry within an information handling system is disclosed. The floating apparatus includes a flange member with a horizontal planar portion and a vertical planar portion. According to one aspect, a media base security device can include a lock rod mechanism coupled to a portion of a media base housing including a security lock aperture operable to receive a security lock. The release lever can include a lock rod seat operable to engage a lock rod extending from the lock rod mechanism in response to locking the security lock.
