A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a first device to perform sidelink communication. In one embodiment, the first device has a periodic sidelink resource reservation, wherein the periodic sidelink resource reservation comprises, reserves, or provides one set of sidelink resources in one period. The first device also has one or more sidelink logical channels with available sidelink data, wherein the one or more sidelink logical channels are associated with one or more destinations. Furthermore, the first device selects or determines a first destination, among the one or more destinations, satisfying at least a condition that an initial sidelink resource of the one set of sidelink resources is within sidelink active time associated with the first destination. In addition, the first device generates a first data packet for the first destination. Also, the first device performs one or more sidelink transmissions on the one set of sidelink resources to the first destination, wherein the one or more sidelink transmissions includes, delivers, or comprises the first data packet.

Method and apparatus of handling periodic sidelink resources and discontinuous reception for sidelink communication in a wireless communication system

A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example, a User Equipment (UE) is configured with one or more cells including a second cell. The UE is configured to monitor one or more first UE-specific Physical Downlink Control Channels (PDCCHs) on the second cell. The one or more first UE-specific PDCCHs schedule data transmission on a first cell. The UE receives a Downlink Control Information (DCI) indicative of dormancy information associated with the one or more cells. The DCI indicates dormant status of the second cell. In response to the DCI indicating the dormant status of the second cell, the UE switches a scheduling cell of the first cell from the second cell to the first cell, and the UE monitors one or more second UE-specific PDCCHs on the first cell. The one or more second UE-specific PDCCHs schedule data transmission on the first cell.

Method and apparatus for reducing power consumption for carrier aggregation in a wireless communication system

A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a first device to perform sidelink communication. In one embodiment, the method includes the first device performing sidelink resource selection or reselection procedure for a sidelink transmission to a second device, wherein the sidelink resource selection or reselection procedure is performed to select at least one sidelink resource from candidate sidelink resources within a time duration of selection window. The method further includes the first device selecting a first sidelink resource based on sidelink active time or wake-up time of the second device, wherein the first sidelink resource is within the time duration of selection window. The method also includes the first device performing the sidelink transmission on the first sidelink resource to the second device.

Method and apparatus of handling device-to-device resource selection with consideration on discontinuous reception operation in a wireless communication system

A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a first device to perform sidelink communication. In one embodiment, the first device sends or reports a resource set to a second device, wherein the resource set comprises one or more sidelink resources in one or more slots in a carrier or cell. Furthermore, when the first device performs sidelink resource (re-)selection procedure for selecting a first sidelink resource in the carrier or cell, the first device prevents or precludes from selecting or determining (any) sidelink resources in the one or more slot in the carrier or cell for selecting the first sidelink resource.

The UE transmits, to the second UE, the first sidelink transmission in the COT. The first sidelink transmission includes the information. A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a network in a wireless communication system. In one embodiment, the method includes the network configuring a User Equipment (UE) with cross-carrier scheduling, wherein the network transmits Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) on a first cell scheduling a second cell. The method further includes the network configuring the UE with PDCCH repetition on two search spaces of the first cell. In addition, the method includes the network being allowed to configure the UE with PDCCH repetition on two search spaces of the second cell only if two search spaces of the first cell, having same search space identities as the two search spaces of the second cell, have been configured with PDCCH repetition.

A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE), the UE receives one or more signals indicative of a first Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) and a second PUSCH on a first cell and in a Transmission Time Interval (TTI). The UE determines to transmit a first Uplink Control Information (UCI) in the TTI, wherein the first UCI overlaps with the first PUSCH and the second PUSCH in time domain. The UE selects the first PUSCH for multiplexing the first UCI based on whether the UE is configured with joint Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) feedback mode or separate HARQ feedback mode. The UE transmits the first PUSCH and the second PUSCH on the first cell, wherein the first PUSCH transmitted on the first cell includes the first UCI.

A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE), the UE receives an uplink (UL) grant. The UL grant is indicative of a first Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) transmission on a first Transmission/Reception Point (TRP) of a first cell. The UL grant is not indicative of a PUSCH transmission on a second TRP of the first cell. The UE transmits a Power Headroom Reporting (PHR) Medium Access Control (MAC) Control Element (CE). Based on the UL grant, the PHR MAC CE is indicative of a first power headroom (PH), associated with the first TRP, based on a real PUSCH transmission, and is indicative of a second PH, associated with the second TRP, based on a reference PUSCH transmission.

Method and apparatus for multi-transmission/reception point power headroom reporting in a wireless communication system

In an example, a User Equipment (UE) receives a message associated with Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) parameter configuration. The message includes a first parameter indicating a first list of entries associated with time resource allocation for multiple PDSCHs, a second parameter indicating reception of multiple repetitions for a single PDSCH, and a third parameter indicating a second list of entries associated with time resource allocation. Each entry in the second list indicates a single time resource allocation. If the UE receives a Downlink Control Information (DCI) indicative of a first entry in the first list, the UE receives a plurality of PDSCHs based on a plurality of time resource allocations indicated by the first entry. A first repetition number for the plurality of PDSCHs is determined to be one. If the UE receives a DCI indicative of a second entry in the second list, the UE receives one or more PDSCHs with repetition based on a single time resource allocation indicated by the second entry. A second repetition number for the one or more PDSCHs is determined based on the second parameter.

In an example, a device receives a configuration of a sidelink resource pool for sidelink data transmission and sidelink reference signal transmission. The device determines to perform a sidelink reference signal transmission in a first Transmission Time Interval (TTI) of the sidelink resource pool, wherein the sidelink reference signal transmission is associated with a destination identity (ID) and a source ID, and the sidelink reference signal transmission has a highest priority among one or more pending sidelink reference signals and one or more sidelink logical channels with pending sidelink data. The device generates a first sidelink data packet based on a first sidelink logical channel with first pending sidelink data, wherein the first sidelink data packet is associated with the destination ID and the source ID. The device performs, in the first TTI, the sidelink reference signal transmission and a sidelink data transmission for transmitting the first sidelink data packet.

Method and apparatus for handling logical channel prioritization regarding sidelink discontinuous reception in a wireless communication system

A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a network. In one embodiment, the method includes the network transmitting a Semi-Persistent Scheduling (SPS) configuration to a User Equipment (UE) for configuring a second Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH). The method also includes the network transmitting a configuration to the UE for configuring a first monitoring occasion for a first Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) and a second monitoring occasion for a second PDCCH, wherein the second PDCCH is associated with the first PDCCH. The method further includes the network not allowing the first PDCCH and the second PDCCH to schedule the UE with a first PDSCH partially or fully overlapping with the second PDSCH in time domain, wherein a last symbol of a later monitoring occasion among the first and the second monitoring occasion ends less than a processing threshold before a starting symbol of the second PDSCH.
