A light-emitting device includes a semiconductor stack including a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer formed on the first semiconductor layer, and an active layer formed therebetween, wherein the first semiconductor layer includes a surrounding exposed region not covered by the active layer, and the surrounding exposed region surrounds the active layer; a conductive layer formed on the second semiconductor layer, including a first conductive region extending toward and contacting the surrounding exposed region of the first semiconductor layer; an electrode layer formed on the first conductive region in the surrounding exposed region; an outside insulating layer covering a portion of the conductive layer and the electrode layer, and including a first opening exposing the other portion of the conductive layer; a bonding layer covering the outside insulating layer and electrically connecting to the other portion of the conductive layer through the first opening; and a conductive substrate, wherein the semiconductor stack is located on one side of the bonding layer, and the conductive substrate is located on the other side of the bonding layer.

Light-emitting device and manufacturing method thereof

A light-emitting device includes a semiconductor stack including a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer and an active layer formed therebetween; a surrounding exposed region formed on peripheries of the semiconductor stack, exposing a surface of the first semiconductor layer; a conductive layer formed on the second semiconductor layer, including a first conductive region extending toward and contacting the surface of the first semiconductor layer in the surrounding exposed region; an electrode layer formed on the surrounding exposed region, surrounding the semiconductor stack, contacting the conductive layer and including an electrode pad not overlapping the semiconductor stack; an outside insulating layer covering a portion of the conductive layer and the electrode layer, including a first opening exposing the other portion of the conductive layer; a bonding layer covering the outside insulating layer and electrically connecting to the other portion of the conductive layer through the first opening; and a conductive substrate.

A light-emitting device includes a semiconductor light emitting stack; an electrode on the semiconductor light emitting stack, the electrode including a mirror layer, an adhesion layer inserted between the mirror layer and the semiconductor light emitting stack, a bonding layer; and a plurality of pits between the bonding layer and the semiconductor light emitting stack, wherein one of the plurality of pits is not filled up by the adhesion layer.

A light-emitting diode structure comprises a first semiconductor layer; a second semiconductor layer under the first semiconductor layer; a light-emitting layer between the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer for emitting a light; a first electrical pad on the first semiconductor layer for wire bonding; a first extension connecting to the first electrical pad; and a first reflective layer covering the first extension and exposing the first electrical pad, wherein the first electrical pad and the first extension have the same thickness, and the reflectivity of the first reflective layer is higher than that of the first extension.

A light-emitting device comprises: a first semiconductor layer; a transparent conductive oxide layer including a diffusion region having a first metal material and a non-diffusion region devoid of the first metal material, wherein the non-diffusion region is closer to the first semiconductor layer than the diffusion region; and a metal layer formed on the transparent conductive oxide layer, wherein the metal layer is pervious to a light emitted from the active layer and comprises a pattern.

A light-emitting device comprising: a light-emitting stacked layer having a first conductivity type semiconductor layer; a light-emitting layer formed on the first conductivity type semiconductor layer; and a second conductivity type semiconductor layer formed on the light-emitting layer; a transparent conductive oxide layer formed on the second conductivity type semiconductor layer wherein the transparent conductive oxide layer having a first portion and a second portion and the upper surface of the transparent conductive oxide layer is a textured surface; a first electrode formed on the second portion of the transparent conductive oxide layer, and a second electrode formed on the first conductivity type semiconductor layer; a planarization layer formed on the first portion of the transparent conductive oxide layer, and the second electrode; and a reflective layer formed on the planarization layer that is devoid of the first electrode and the second electrode.
