An electronic apparatus and a controlling method thereof are provided. A fastened mechanism of the electronic apparatus is configured to secure a first housing and a second housing of the electronic apparatus. An operating object within a sensing range is sensed via a first sensor unit. A first sensing signal is sent to a control unit when the sensor unit sensed the operating object within the sensing range. A control signal is sent to the fastened mechanism for unlocking the fastened mechanism when the control unit receives the first sensing signal.

Electronic apparatus and controlling method thereof

A docking station suitable for a portable device is provided. The docking station includes a base, a pivot assembly, a supporting board and an electrical connection module. The base includes a circuit board, wherein the circuit board has a ring-shaped circuit. The pivot assembly is pivotally connected to the base along a first axis. The supporting board is connected to the pivot assembly and adapted to support the portable device. The supporting board is rotated relative to the base when the pivot assembly is rotated along the first axis. The electrical connection module includes an electrical connection component and a plurality of connecting terminals. The electrical connection component is fixed on the pivot assembly and contacted with the ring-shaped circuit. The connecting terminals are fixed on the pivot assembly and connected to the electrical connection component. The portable device is adapted to be connected to the connecting terminals.

Docking station suitable for portable device

The invention provides a docking station, which includes a base, a tray and an electrical connector. The base has a chamber. The tray is slidingly disposed at the chamber. The electrical connector is slidingly disposed at the base and disposed at a side of the tray, in which the tray moves under a pressing force to drive the electrical connector for moving. The invention also provides a display system, which includes an electronic device and a docking station, so that the electronic device is detachably disposed at the docking station to expand the applications thereof.

An operating method of a dual operating system, adapted to switch a first operating system and a second operating system on a docking system composed of a portable electronic device and a docking station, wherein the portable electronic device stores the first operating system and the first part of the second operating system, and the docking station stores the second part of the second operating system, the operating method comprising automatically starting the first part of the second operating system when the portable device operates the first operating system and is in an idle mode of the first operating system. When the portable device is coupled to the docking system and operates the second operating system and is in the idle mode of the second operating system, the portable device automatically loads and executes the first operating system.

Method for switching dual operating system on docking system

A personal computer (PC) system has, amongst other circuitry and devices, a CD drive, a CD playing control circuit, an embedded controller, a CD control panel and an embedded display program contained within the Basic Input Output System (BIOS) of the memory of the computer. With the CD drive, the CD playing control circuit and the CD control panel, a user can listen to a CD when the computing and display portions of the PC system are turned off. However, upon a predetermined button pressing of the CD control panel, the embedded controller will turn on both the processor and the display of the PC system, and cause the processor to begin executing the embedded display program.
