A slotted electrically conductive structure attachable to a substrate and configured to enhance penetration of an incidental radio wave through the substrate is disclosed. The structure allows a substantial portion of the incidental radio wave to penetrate from a first region to a second region through the substrate. The slotted electrically conductive structure comprises a metallic base layer of transparent metal or metal oxide; and one or more patterned slots provided on the metallic base layer. Each of the patterned slots comprises a plurality of feature elements covering an entire area of the patterned slot. The structure reduces thermal energy loss through the substrate and the plurality of feature elements is configured to allow the incidental radio wave to pass through the slotted electrically conductive structure. A multilayer structure comprising the slotted electrically conductive structure and a film structure having randomly distributed irregularly shaped protrusions or pits is also provided.

Slotted electrically conductive structure for improving indoor penetration of wireless communication signal

A dielectric material antenna is disclosed. The antenna includes a first material layer made up of a first material with a low dielectric constant. A surface pattern containing pits is carved out of the first material layer. The pits carved out are then filled up with a second material layer made up of a second material that has a high dielectric constant than the first material layer to form a first antenna layer. A wave launcher is provided near to the first antenna layer with a ground provided at its bottom. The wave launcher helps to couple the energy generated from an energy source to the first antenna layer in order to radiate and receive signals.

Dielectric material as antenna

Disclosed are a system, apparatus, and method for improving performance of antennas in electronic devices. The disclosed system, apparatus, and method uses a transparent dielectric substrate as an antenna. The transparent dielectric substrate may receive energy from a wave launcher and printed circuit board. To work as an antenna, the whole structure may include at least one wave launcher located between the dielectric transparent substrate and a printed circuit board. Also, the structure may include a ground at the bottom of solid dielectric transparent substrate with a separation space. The space should not be less than wavelength 1/10 of fundamental resonant frequency.

Systems, apparatus, and methods to improve antenna performance in electronic devices

Disclosed are a system, apparatus, and method for modifying a dipole antenna to comprise unequal arm lengths for matching the condition of two different dielectric materials such as air and human body. The modified dipole antenna is built in a cylindrical pipe shape dipole that has a hollow center to let wires pass through it and has little to no effect in antenna performance The antenna can be bent in different shape to fit in any wireless product of any shape or size. The antenna is designed to provide a stable radiation at one side and partial radiation at front side even with human body intervention. Further the antenna can be combined with another similar antenna via a power splitter/divider to form a full 360 degree radiation pattern even in presence of a human body in proximity.

Systems, apparatus, and methods to optimize antenna performance

A system for wirelessly controlling LED lighting includes: a plurality of LED lamps, each lamp being equipped with a wireless communication module; and a smart device being in communication with the wireless communication module and configured to be controlled by a user. The smart device is configured to generate a unique lamp ID for each LED lamp, and embed the unique lamp ID into a signal for controlling each LED lamp through the wireless communication module so that the unique lamp ID is detectable in a form of visible light. The signal for controlling each LED lamp is a PWM signal, while data rate of the lamp ID is higher than that of the PWM signal. A method for wirelessly controlling LED lighting is also provided.

System and method for wirelessly controlling LED lighting

An antenna system includes an antenna element having two antenna feeds and a shared connection to a ground plane. A first antenna portion has a first resonant frequency length of at least one first wavelength formed from a first feed together with the shared ground connection. A second antenna portion has a second resonant frequency length formed from a second feed together with the shared ground connection. First and second slots are respectively positioned between the shared ground connection and the respective first and second feeds such that the slots create inductances. At least a portion of the ground plane is located directly beneath at least a portion of the first and second slots. The first and second slot inductances together with the ground plane capacitances form one or more filter components to isolate the first and second resonant frequencies in the antenna element.

High isolation single lambda antenna for dual communication systems

A lighting control system and an LED lamp for use with the lighting control system are provided. In one embodiment, the LED lamp includes a color LED including a red LED, a green LED, and a blue LED, and a lamp contact having a first contact section, a second contact section, and a third contact section, each of the first contact section, the second contact section, and the third contact section including a positive contact and a negative contact, wherein the first contact section is electrically connected to the red LED, the second contact section is electrically connected to the green LED, and the third contact section is electrically connected to the blue LED. The lighting control system may include an LED driver unit configured to provide independent electrical connection with each of the contact sections of the LED lamp.
