A multi-section hinge mechanism includes a shaft (), a rotary member (), and an elastic member (). The rotary member defines a through hole () running through the disk. The shaft is rotatably received in the through hole. The rotary member defines a plurality of concaves () in an inner circumferential surface portion thereof. The elastic member includes an elastic arm () and a fixing portion. The elastic arm engages in one of the concaves of the rotary member. The shaft non-rotatably connects with the fixing portion of the elastic member.

Multi-section hinge mechanism

A stylus removal mechanism (), used in portable electronic devices, includes a main body (), having a latching hole () defined therein, and an elastic device (). The elastic device is fixed at the main body and includes an elastic member (), a removal member (), and a connecting pole (). The elastic member includes two ends () respectively engaging with the removal member and the main body. The removal member has a cam () and a conducting groove () defined around the cam. The conducting groove has a latching portion (). The connecting pole includes one end (), received in the latching hole of the main body, and another end () movably received in the conducting groove.

Stylus removal mechanism

A multi-section hinge mechanism () includes a rotary member (), a connecting shaft () and a hollow cylindrical body (). The rotary member includes a disk () and a securing portion () integrally formed with the disk. The connecting shaft includes a shaft portion () and an elastic body () provided on the shaft portion. The hollow cylindrical body includes a bottom portion () and defining a plurality of grooves () in an inner wall thereof. The bottom portion defines a hole (). The shaft portion is rotatably received in the hole. The shaft portion of the connecting shaft is securely engaged with the securing portion of the rotary member. The elastic body engages in one of the grooves of the cylindrical body.

A multi-section hinge mechanism () comprises a rotary member () and a base (). The base includes an annular elastic arm () and a latching part () integrally extending from an inner circumferential wall of the annular elastic arm. The base defines a central hole running therethrough and a plurality of concaves () in one surface portion. The latching part rotatably extends through the central hole of the base. The elastic arm engages in one of the concaves of the base.

A protective film () includes a substrate (), an upper hardened layer (), a lower hardened layer (), a mirror-effect layer (), and a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) film (). The substrate is made of transparent plastic material, and has an upper surface () and a lower surface (). The upper hardened layer is formed on the upper surface of the substrate, and the lower hardened layer is formed on the lower surface of the substrate. The mirror-effect layer is formed on a surface of the lower hardened layer. The DLC film is formed on a surface of the upper hardened layer. A method for making the protective film is also provided.
