An optical carriage of scanner has a mirror assembly and a device assembly, the mirror assembly has a mirror mount, some mirror holder, and some supporters, and the device assembly has a chassis. In this invention, the mirror assembly and the device assembly are mechanically connected after separately formation. Further, to ensure correct shape of these mirror holders and these supporters, they could be formed by metal punch, plastic ejection, or plastic process.

Optical carriage of scanner and method of the same

An image compensation method is provided. At least one light source and a plurality of reflecting elements each capable of reflecting light from the light source are provided. Each reflecting element reflects a beam of light from the light source to produce a beam of reflected light having a unique color content. The reflecting elements are shifted to a location where one of the reflecting elements is capable of reflecting light from the light source.

Image compensation structure and compensation method

A height adjustment structure for an image-scanning device. The scanning device has a guiding rod, an optical system and a document panel. The guiding rod and the document panel are fixed relative to each other. The optical system includes a box body and an axial rod bearer that can slide along into the guiding rod. The height adjustment structure includes a first positioning section and a second positioning section. The first positioning section is attached to one side of the box body and the second positioning section is attached to one side the axial rod bearer that faces the first positioning section. The first positioning section and the second positioning section has hooking mechanism, screwing mechanism or teeth-meshing mechanism for fixing the box body relative to the axial rod bearer and hence setting the distance from the box body to the document panel.

Optical carriage of scanner and method for the same

An optical device uses in a plane image input device. The optical device comprises a body including an incident end and an emergent end. After a light beam enters the body via the incident end, undergoes a total reflection, and emerges from the emergent end. Thus, the size of the plane image input device can be minimized and the optical energy attenuation can be reduced during the transmission process.

Optical device

A vibration-proof device for an upper transparency adapter (UTA) of a scanner is provided. The vibration-proof device includes a supporter for coupling a slide rod mounted in a cover of the upper transparency adapter for an optic source carriage to be slidably coupled thereto, a positioning member for retaining in place the supporter in the cover and an elastic member interposed between the supporter and a base of the cover for providing the supporter with an upward elastic force so as to resiliently abut the optic source carriage against a glass panel attached to the cover.
