A method can be used for controlling for engine running. An input unit receives required power data. A controller executes one among a first control for running an engine, a second control for keeping on running the engine, and a third control for stopping the engine, according to the required power data, to drive the engine. The battery is discharged or charged under control of the controller.

Method of controlling for engine running

A method for controlling heating of a hybrid vehicle is provided. The vehicle includes a duct flowing air into the indoor of the hybrid vehicle from the outside, a heater core for circulating the coolant heated from an engine inside the duct, a PTC heater heated by the power supplied from a high-voltage battery of the hybrid vehicle inside the duct, and a controller. The controller operates the engine and the PTC heater and heats the air flowing into the indoor of the hybrid vehicle through the duct. The voltage supplied to the PTC heater from a low voltage DC-DC converter (LDC) is changed based on the state of the engine and an auxiliary battery for supplying power to an electric component of the vehicle to apply power to the PTC heater.

Method for controlling heating of hybrid vehicle

A method for setting an electric vehicle (EV) on/off line of a hybrid vehicle considers a driving load of the vehicle by setting the EV on/off line based on a climbing angle and creep power. The method for setting the EV on/off line of the hybrid vehicle includes an operation of setting a region according to a state of charge (SOC), an EV online setting operation based on a climbing angle of the vehicle, and an EV offline setting operation based on creep power of the vehicle. The method provides a simple and intuitive EV line setting method to reduce a mapping time and substantially eliminate the possibility of human error, thus increasing logic reliability, so as to reduce use of a hybrid control unit (HCU) memory and provide cost-saving effects.

In a method for controlling engine power during charge depleting (CD) mode heating of a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), the engine power is controlled according to an amount of heat of an engine required for heating determined using a level of an air-conditioning blower at a point in time at which an operation of the engine starts, an outdoor air temperature, and a coolant temperature, if a full automatic temperature controller (FATC) operates the engine for heating when the vehicle is driven in a CD mode.

A method of controlling vehicle stopping is provided. The method includes dividing an open space from a closed space, in which a gate is connected to the ground, to apply an open space stop control mode to the open space and to apply a closed space stop control mode to the closed space. Additionally, spatial division stop control is performed in which a control condition for each of an engine power, a vehicle interior temperature, and a battery state of charge (SOC) is varied between the open space stop control mode and the closed space stop control mode when a vehicle enters the closed space.

A motor speed control method and system for improving the performance of a running resistance evaluation of a hybrid electric vehicle are provided. The method includes determining whether a vehicle satisfies a running resistance evaluation start condition. When the vehicle satisfies the running resistance evaluation start condition, the speed of a motor is adjusted, which adjusts an input speed of a transmission to be equal to an output speed of the transmission. A speed adjustment of the motor is then completed using the speed of the motor and the output speed of the transmission.
