A connector assembly is disclosed to include a shielding cage and a receptacle connector. The shielding cage forms at least one insertion space and a front end port communicatively coupled to the insertion space, the insertion space is defined by a top wall, a bottom wall and two side walls which cooperate with each other. The receptacle connector is provided to a rear segment of the shielding cage and includes a receptacle housing. The shielding cage further includes at least one stopping piece and at least one support stopping block which extend into the insertion space, the support stopping block is interposed between the stopping piece and the receptacle housing and supports the stopping piece. In another manner, the shielding cage may include a withdrawing stop portion and a rear stopping piece, the withdrawing stop portion is used to limit the receptacle housing to displace rearwardly, the rear stopping piece is used to stop the receptacle housing from behind the receptacle housing.

Shielding cage structure with respect to the receptacle connector within

A connector assembly is provided and includes a shielding cage, a receptacle connector and a light guiding member. The shielding cage has a plurality of walls, a receiving space defined together by the plurality of walls, a front end opening communicated to the receiving space and an aperture communicated to the receiving space. The receptacle connector is received in a rear segment of the receiving space of the shielding cage. The light guiding member has at least two light guiding pipes, each light guiding pipe has a first segment positioned to the front and a second segment positioned to the rear. The first segments of the two light guiding pipes are positioned outside the shielding cage and the second segments of the two light guiding pipes pass through the aperture and enter into the rear segment of the receiving space of the shielding cage.

Connector assembly

The present disclosure provides an electrical connection apparatus which includes a receptacle and a plug. The receptacle includes a cage, a heat sink, a thermal interface material layer, and an elastic sheathing member. The heat sink is provided to the cage and has a base portion. The base portion has a lower surface, a first side edge close to the port, and a second side edge spaced apart from the first side edge. The heat sink further has two first convex portions positioned on the lower surface and adjacent to the first side edge and a first concave portion positioned on the lower surface and adjacent to the second side edge. The thermal interface material layer is provided to the lower surface of the base portion. The elastic sheathing member sheathes the heat sink and the cage. The plug includes a second convex portion positioned on an upper surface.

Electrical connection apparatus

A connector assembly comprising a shielding shell, a heat dissipating module and a clip. The shielding shell comprises a top wall and two side walls. The heat dissipating module comprises a thermal conducting plate which is provided to a top wall of the shielding shell. Side edges of the thermal conducting plate comprise rearward stopped portions toward the rear. The clip comprises an elastic pressing portion which presses against a top surface of the thermal conducting plate and outer side plates which are assembled to the corresponding side walls of the shielding shell. The outer side plate comprises a rearward displace limiting portion. The rearward displace limiting portion cooperates with the corresponding rearward stopped portion of the thermal conducting plate so as to limit relative displacement of the thermal conducting plate relative to the shielding shell toward the rear. Therefore, it may prevent the thermal conducting plate from disengaging.

Pluggable electronic receptacle connector with heat-sink assembly

An electrical connector assembly for mounting on a circuit board includes a pressing frame, a base, and a pressing pole. The base and the pressing frame may be mounted on two opposite surfaces the circuit board so that a pivoting portion and protruding pieces of the base respectively pass through the circuit board. The pressing frame is mounted on the pivoting portion. The pressing pole mounts to the protruding pieces and can be translated so as to urge the pressing frame toward a closed position. A receptacle connector may be mounted between the pivoting portion and the protruding pieces and secured by the pressing frame. A radiator may be mounted over on the receptacle connector. A plurality of fastener may extend between the radiator and the base so as to secure the radiator in position.

Electrical connector assembly

A socket connector that is capable of supporting and blocking a chip module therein includes an insulating body, a plurality of conductive terminals and a plate-like blocking frame. The conductive terminals are provided in the insulating body. Four sides of the plate-like blocking frame enclose to form an accommodating space. The rear portion of the plate-like blocking frame is pivotally connected to the rear portion of the insulating body. The front portion of the plate-like blocking frame is locked to the front portion of the insulating body. Two adjacent sides of the plate-like blocking frame extend respectively to form a piece body having an abutting portion. The abutting portion extends into the accommodating space, so that the chip module can be pushed in position accurately to obtain a good electrical connection with the socket connector.

Socket connector

A latch device is used for a socket connector and includes a base, a pressing frame and a pressing rod. The pressing frame is pivotally connected to the base and has a flange on one side thereof. The pressing rod is pivotally arranged on the base and has a protrusion. The socket connector is arranged between the base and the pressing frame and a CPU is mounted on the socket connector. The pressing rod is operated such that the protrusion is pressed against the flange. The pressing frame is pressed against the CPU, whereby the CPU is also retained on the socket connector.

Latch device for socket connector

A conductive terminal is positioned in an insulative housing to constitute an electrical connector. The insulative housing is formed with a first face and a second face opposite to each other, and has a plurality of terminal receiving cavities extending through the first face and the second face. The conductive terminal includes a base for abutting against the corresponding terminal receiving cavity to achieve positioning. The base has two spaced-apart opposite sidewalls. Each sidewall is formed with a first edge and a second edge opposite to each other in a direction of extension of the terminal receiving cavity. A plurality of resilient arms extend outwardly from certain of the edges of the sidewalls such that the first and second contact portions of the resilient arms are respectively and electrically connected to an electronic component and a circuit board to transmit signals between the electronic component and the circuit board through the conductive terminal.

Conductive terminal and electrical connector applying the conductive terminal

A conductive terminal is positioned in an insulative housing to constitute an electrical connector. The insulative housing is formed with a first face and a second face, and has a plurality of terminal receiving cavities. The conductive terminal includes a base abutting against the corresponding terminal receiving cavity to achieve positioning. The base has two adjacent sidewalls forming an angle therebetween. Each of the sidewalls is formed with opposite first and second edges in a direction of extension of the terminal receiving cavity. First and second resilient arms extend respectively from the first edges of the two sidewalls. The first resilient arm has a first contact portion extending from a free end. The second resilient arm extends to pass between the two sidewalls so as to form a second contact portion at a free end. The first contact portion and the second contact portion are respectively located on two sides of the base such that the first and the second contact portions electrically contact an electronic component and a circuit board, respectively, for signal transmission.

An electronic connector includes an insulative housing having a plurality of terminal slots and a plurality of terminals received in the corresponding terminal slots. Each of the terminals includes a base having a top side and a bottom side, and both of the top side and the bottom side have a first end and a second end. A first elastic arm frontward extends from the first end of the top side and further laterally extends in a horizontal direction parallel to the top side toward the second end of the top side. A second elastic arm frontward extends from the first end of the bottom side and further laterally extends in a horizontal direction parallel to the bottom side toward the second end of the bottom side. The electronic connector of the present invention can effectively disperse pressing forces and improve an inserted stability of the terminal.

LGA connector and terminal thereof

A conductive terminal is positioned in an insulative housing to constitute an electrical connector. The insulative housing is formed with a first face and a second face opposite to each other, and has a plurality of terminal receiving cavities extending through the first face and the second face. The conductive terminal includes a base for abutting against the corresponding terminal receiving cavity. The base has two adjacent sidewalls forming an angle therebetween. A resilient arm extends from one edge of one of the sidewalls in a direction of extension of the terminal receiving cavity. The resilient arm is bent back to approach the opposite other edge of the corresponding sidewall and forms a non-closed ring-shape with the corresponding sidewall. Two opposite ends of the resilient arm which are farthest away from the corresponding sidewall are respectively formed with a first contact portion and a second contact portion. The first contact portion and the second contact portion contact electrically and respectively an electronic component and a circuit board to enable signal transmission between the electronic component and the circuit board through the conductive terminal.

An electric cable connector includes a connector housing, a cable, and a wire management member. The connector housing includes a plurality of terminals, the terminals each having a tail extending out of one end of the connector housing for electrically soldering to respective wires of the cable. The wire management member is joined to the connector housing, and includes a plurality of terminal grooves adapted to receive the tail of each of the terminals, thereby preventing the tail of each terminal from being suspended in the air, and a plurality of wire grooves adapted to receive the wires of the cable for enabling the wires to be respectively positively soldered to the tail of each of the terminals. Positioning rods are also included on the wire management member to be received within cavities in the connector housing.
