An organic light emitting diode display device comprises a substrate which includes a plurality of pixel regions each having a sub-pixel region and a transparent region. In each pixel region, an active layer is disposed in the sub-pixel region. A gate electrode overlaps the active layer. A first electrode is disposed on the active layer, and contacts the active layer. A second electrode is spaced apart from the first electrode, and contacts the active layer. A first lower electrode having a first thickness is disposed in the sub-pixel region and connected to the second electrode. A second lower electrode is disposed in the transparent region on the substrate, located at a same level as the gate electrode. The second lower electrode has a second thickness that is less than the first thickness, and is transparent.

Organic light-emitting diode display apparatus and method of manufacturing the same

A display device may include a substrate, a first light emitting structure, a second light emitting structure, and a support structure. The first light emitting structure may include an electrode and a light emitting layer. A face of the electrode may directly contact the light emitting layer and may overlap the substrate. The support structure may be positioned between the first light emitting structure and the second light emitting structure, may be spaced from each of the first light emitting structure and the second light emitting structure, may overlap a transparent portion of the substrate, and may not include or directly contact any light emitting layer. A height of the support structure relative to the substrate may be greater than at least one of a height of the face of the electrode relative to the substrate and a height of the light emitting layer relative to the substrate.

Method of manufacturing an organic light emitting display device

An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display is disclosed. In one aspect, the OLED display includes a thin film transistor comprising an active layer, a gate electrode, a source electrode, and a drain electrode. A first insulating layer is formed at least between the active layer and the gate electrode and a second insulating layer formed at least between the gate, source, and drain electrodes. The OLED display also includes a third insulating layer covering the source and drain electrodes and a pixel electrode including a first portion formed in first and second openings respectively defined in the second and third insulating layers and a second portion formed outside of the second opening. A pixel defining layer is formed over the second portion of the pixel electrode and the third insulating layer and has a third opening. The third opening has an area greater than that of the second opening.

A display device includes a first optical resonance layer on a substrate, a switching structure on the first optical resonance layer, a first electrode on the switching structure, a light emitting structure on the first electrode, and a second electrode on the emitting structure. The switching structure may include a switching device and an optical distance controlling insulation layer covering the switching device. A first optical resonance distance for an optical resonance of the light may be provided between an upper face of the first optical resonance layer and a bottom face of the second electrode.
