The present invention relates to a novel type of PPARγ modulator having a pyrimido[5,4-d]pyrimidine main structure. The PPARγ modulator can enhance the expression and nuclear translocation of PPARγ in cells. The present invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the PPARγ modulator of the invention encapsulated in a pharmaceutically acceptable cell-penetrating drug delivery system so that it can be directly delivered into cells. The present invention thus provides a method of preventing or treating PPARγ-related disorders or conditions comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of the PPARγ modulator of the invention or the pharmaceutical composition of the invention.

Compounds for enhancing PPARγ expression and nuclear translocation and therapeutic use thereof

The invention provides a method for enhancing the delivery of an anti-platelet drug for the treatment of acute stroke, comprising delivering a composition comprising an anti-platelet drug and a vehicle that can reduce the binding rate of plasma proteins, so that the anti-platelet drug can achieve the effect of treating acute stroke at a low dose. By use of the neuro-protective efficacy of anti-platelet drug, the invention allows the drug to release slowly to the site of treatment by combining anti-platelet drugs with a vehicle that can reduce the binding rate of plasma proteins to effectively reduce the dose of the anti-platelet drug and consequently reduce the side effects such as hypotension caused by administration of a high dose of the anti-platelet drugs. The invention also provides a pharmaceutical composition for enhancing treatment of acute stroke and a method for treating acute stroke using the pharmaceutical composition of the invention.

An apparatus and a method for sensing a display panel are provided. The apparatus includes a source driving circuit and a sensing circuit. The source driving circuit is coupled to data lines to drive the pixel circuits according to a display period comprising frame periods. The sensing circuit is coupled to a plurality of pixel circuits. The sensing circuit senses characteristics of the pixel circuits in the test data periods of the display period. The test data periods are periodically arranged in the display period. In each of the test data periods, a corresponding pixel circuit receives test data, and the sensing circuit senses the electrical characteristic of the corresponding pixel circuit. In the scan-line periods of each of the frame periods, the corresponding pixel circuit receives display data from a corresponding data line, and the sensing circuit does not sense the corresponding pixel circuit.

A communication device is provided. The communication device comprises a metal back cover electrically connected to a system ground plane; a first antenna unit for generating a first operating frequency band of the communication device; a second antenna unit for generating a second operating frequency band of the communication device. The first antenna unit includes a first signal source electrically connected to a first metal frame via a first matching circuit. The second antenna unit includes a second signal source electrically connected to a second metal frame via a second matching circuit. An image processing method and a display device thereof are provided. The method is adapted to a display panel with a display area. The image processing method includes the following steps. Whether original images to be displayed on a plurality of sub-areas of the display area are still is analyzed and determined. When the original image in a current sub-area is still, a time length of the original image being still is recorded. The current sub-area is one of the sub-areas. Processing levels corresponding to a plurality of image processing schemes are determined based on the time length. Overall or partial luminance (luma) of the original image in the current sub-area is gradually reduced by the image processing schemes with the determined processing levels, and a corresponding luma-reduced image is displayed on the current sub-area.

An apparatus and a method for sensing a display panel are provided. The apparatus includes a gate driving circuit and a sensing circuit. The gate driving circuit may scan the scan-lines during a plurality of scan-line periods within a frame period. The sensing circuit is coupled to a plurality of pixel circuits. A corresponding scan-line period of the scan-line periods is divided into a test data period and a display data period. In the test data period, the sensing circuit controls a corresponding pixel circuit to receive the test data, and the sensing circuit senses the electrical characteristic of the corresponding pixel circuit. In the display data period, the sensing circuit controls the corresponding pixel circuit to receive the display data from a corresponding data line, and the sensing circuit does not sense the corresponding pixel circuit.

A proximity sensor and a mobile communication device thereof are provided. The mobile communication device includes an antenna structure, a matching circuit, a capacitance sensing circuit and a processing circuit. The matching circuit couples to the antenna structure. The capacitance sensing circuit couples to the matching circuit. The capacitance sensing circuit senses a capacitance variation on the antenna structure via the matching circuit and accordingly generates a proximity sensing signal. The processing circuit is coupled to the capacitance sensing circuit to receive the proximity sensing signal. When a signal level of the proximity sensing signal exceeds a first threshold value, an object is determined approaching, and when the signal level of the proximity sensing signal exceeds a second threshold value, a human body is determines approaching.
