Disclosed methods include placing a semiconductor wafer containing MRAM devices into a first magnetic field that has a magnitude sufficient to magnetically polarize MRAM bits and has a substantially uniform field strength and direction over the entire area of the wafer. The method further includes placing the wafer in a second magnetic field having an opposite field direction, a substantially uniform field strength and direction over the entire area of the wafer, and magnitude less than a design threshold for MRAM bit magnetization reversal. The method further includes determining a presence of malfunctioning MRAM bits by determining that such malfunctioning MRAM bits have a magnetic polarization that was reversed due to exposure to the second magnetic field. Malfunctioning MRAM bits may further be characterized by electrically reading data bits, or by using a chip probe to read one or more of voltage, current, resistances, etc., of the MRAM devices.

Magnet configuration systems and methods to detect magnetic tunnel junction coercivity weak bits in MRAM chips

Systems and methods are described for video coding using generalized bi-prediction. In an exemplary embodiment, to code a current block of a video in a bitstream, a first reference block is selected from a first reference picture and a second reference block is selected from a second reference picture. Each reference block is associated with a weight, where the weight may be an arbitrary weight ranging, e.g., between 0 and 1. The current block is predicted using a weighted sum of the reference blocks. The weights may be selected from among a plurality of candidate weights. Candidate weights may be signaled in the bitstream or may be derived implicitly based on a template. Candidate weights may be pruned to avoid out-of-range or substantially duplicate candidate weights. Generalized bi-prediction may additionally be used in frame rate up conversion.

Systems and methods for generalized multi-hypothesis prediction for video coding

The present invention provides a vibration sensor, which comprises a circuit board having an accommodating space. A sensing assembly is disposed in the accommodating space. A recess for magnet sliding is disposed in the sensing assembly. Dispose a magnet in the recess and then dispose a coil layer on an arbitrary side or both sides of the sensing assembly. Furthermore, a lubricating layer is coated on the recess. Alternatively, the recess can be a vacuum structure or a hollow cross-sectional structure for reducing the friction between the recess and the magnet. Alternatively, the coil layer can be coated with a protective layer or multiple layers can be stacked. Without increasing the area of the sensor, the sensing on the variation of magnetic flux can be improved. Accordingly, the vibration sensor according to the present invention can achieve wideband detection of vibrations.

Systems and methods are disclosed for improving the prediction efficiency for residual prediction using motion compensated residual prediction (MCRP). Exemplary residual prediction techniques employ motion compensated prediction and processed residual reference pictures. Further disclosed herein are systems and methods for generating residual reference pictures. These pictures can be generated adaptively with or without considering in-loop filtering effects. Exemplary de-noising filter designs are also described for enhancing the quality of residual reference pictures, and compression methods are described for reducing the storage size of reference pictures. Further disclosed herein are exemplary syntax designs for communicating residuals' motion information.

Systems and methods for motion compensated residual prediction

A display apparatus which is also able to receive and identify fingerprints comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a plurality of dummy pixel units located in a non-display region, a fingerprint identification module, and a plurality of data extending lines. Each of the dummy units comprises first and second auxiliary electrodes. The fingerprint identification module comprises signal transmitting layer and signal receiving components on the signal transmitting layer. The signal receiving component receives reflected ultrasonic wave and converts the received waves into fingerprint signal. The data extending line is electrically connected with the dummy pixel unit. The signal receiving component transmits the fingerprint signals to the at least one first auxiliary electrode and the data extending line thus receives the fingerprint signal.

A touch device includes a display panel with a plurality of pixel regions in a matrix, and a touch panel disposed on the display panel. The touch panel detects touch operations. The touch panel includes a substrate, a first conduction layer disposed on a surface of the substrate, and a second conduction layer disposed on a surface of the substrate. The first conduction layer includes a plurality of first conduction units arranged along a first direction. The second conduction layer includes a plurality of second conduction units arranged along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. A semiconductor structure includes a first magnetic layer, an insulative oxide layer, an oxygen trapping layer and a cap layer. The insulative oxide layer is over the first magnetic layer. The oxygen trapping layer is over the insulative oxide layer. The oxygen concentration of the oxygen trapping layer is less than an oxygen concentration of the insulative oxide layer. The cap layer is over the oxygen trapping layer.

Semiconductor device and integrated inductor

A method for fabricating a patterned layer is disclosed. Firstly, a semiconductor substrate is provided. Then, a precursory gas on the semiconductor substrate is formed. Finally, a patterned layer on the semiconductor substrate is deposited by reacting the precursory gas with at least one electron beam or at least one ion beam. The present invention not only fabricates a patterned layer on the substrate in a single step but also achieves a high lithographic resolution and avoids remains of contaminations by using the properties of the electron beam or the ion beam and the precursory gas.

Method for fabricating patterned layer

A peak detector is provided. Current switches are utilized and controlled by output of a plurality of error amplifiers respectively, such that charging currents are adjusted for a charge element in response to operations of the current switches respectively. Therefore, the overshooting charge is avoided and the time for charge is optimized.
