This present invention discloses a pixel array substrate including a substrate, a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of data lines, a plurality of active elements, a plurality of pixel electrodes, a plurality of first patterned floating lines, and a plurality of first patterned connecting wires. A plurality of pixel fields are formed by the cross scan lines and data lines, and each active element is electrically connected with the corresponding scan line, data line and pixel electrode. Each first patterned floating line is overlapped with some data lines. Each first patterned connecting wire is disposed across some scan lines, and disposed overlapped the first patterned floating lines disposed on the two sides of the scan line.

Pixel array substrate

An active device array substrate including a substrate, a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of data lines, and a plurality of pixel units, each of the pixel units formed between every neighboring two of the scan lines and data lines is provided. Each of the pixel units includes a first active device, a first pixel electrode electrically connected to a corresponding scan line and a corresponding data line through the first active device, a second active device, a second pixel electrode electrically connected to a corresponding scan line and a corresponding data line through the first active device, a second active device and a second pixel electrode electrically connected to a corresponding scan line and a corresponding data line through the second active device. The first pixel electrode has a surface area different from that of the second pixel electrode.

Liquid crystal display panel and active device array substrate thereof

An active device array substrate, including a substrate, a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of data lines and a plurality of pixel units is provided. The scan lines, data lines and pixel units are disposed on the substrate. Each of the pixel units includes a first active device, a first pixel electrode, a first resistive device, a second active device, and a second pixel electrode. The first pixel electrode is electrically connected to a corresponding scan line and a corresponding data line through the first active device. The first resistive device is electrically connected between the first active device and the first pixel electrode. Additionally, the second pixel electrode is electrically connected to a corresponding scan line and a corresponding data line through the second active device.

Liquid crystal display panel and active device array substrate having resistive device

A panel of a liquid crystal display panel with a plurality of pixels is disclosed, wherein each pixel comprises one switch, one pixel electrode and one floating line. The switch comprises a gate, a source, and two drains. The pixel electrode can be electrically connected to the switch through the drain. Besides, each floating conductive line and two drains of the same switch are crossed but electrically disconnected. Hence, the design of the dual drain (or dual source) illustrated above and the combined the technique of laser welding can be used to repair the source-drain leakage of the substrate of the liquid crystal display device.

Panel for liquid crystal display device

A pixel structure is provided. A data line and a scan line are disposed over a substrate. A first, a second, and a third thin film transistors (TFT) are electrically connected with the data line and the scan line respectively. A first width-to-length ratio, a second width-to-length ratio and a third width-to-length ratio of the first, second and third TFTs are the same. An impedance layer and the first TFT are connected in series. A first, a second, and a third pixel electrodes are electrically connected with the first, the second and the third TFTs respectively. A first, a second, and a third common line are disposed below the first, second and third pixel electrodes respectively. The first and second common lines are electrically connected to a first voltage and the third common line is electrically connected to a second voltage.

Pixel structure

A pixel structure is provided. A scan line and a data line are disposed over a substrate. A first, second, and third thin film transistors are electrically connected with the data line and the scan line. The width-to-length ratios of the second and third thin film transistors are the same but larger than that of the first thin film transistor. A first, second and third pixel electrodes are electrically connected with the first, the second and the third thin film transistors, respectively. A first, second and third common lines are disposed below the first, second and third pixel electrodes respectively. The first and second common lines are electrically connected to a first voltage and the third common line is electrically connected to a second voltage.

A thin film transistor array substrate is disclosed. A gate electrode is disposed overlying a substrate. A gate dielectric layer covers the substrate and the gate electrode. A semiconductor layer is disposed overlying the gate dielectric layer, wherein the semiconductor layer comprises a channel. A source electrode electrically connects a portion of the semiconductor layer on one side of the channel, and a drain electrode electrically connects a portion of the semiconductor layer on the other side of the channel, in which the drain electrode does not overlap the gate electrode.

Thin film transistor array substrate and fabrication method thereof

A method for forming a liquid crystal display is disclosed. A substrate comprising a thin film transistor area and a pixel area is provided. A gate line, a gate dielectric layer, an active layer and a doped layer are formed overlying the substrate sequentially. A metal layer is formed overlying the doped layer. The metal layer, doped layer and the active layer in the thin film transistor area are defined to form a thin film transistor. The metal layer in the pixel area is defined to form a first metal portion of a first thickness and a second metal portion of a second portion, wherein the first metal portion acts as a contact region, the first thickness exceeds the second thickness, and the second thickness is sufficient to partially reflect and partially transmit incident light to form a transflective region in the pixel area.

Method for forming a liquid crystal display with particular metal layer

A liquid crystal display comprises a substrate comprising a thin film transistor area and a pixel area, a gate line formed on the substrate, a gate dielectric layer formed on the gate line and the substrate, an active layer formed on the gate dielectric layer, a doped layer formed on the active layer, a metal layer formed on the doped layer, a passivation layer overlaying the thin film transistor area and the pixel area, and a pixel electrode layer formed on the passivation layer. The gate line, the gate dielectric layer, the active layer, the doped layer and the metal layer in the thin film transistor area constitute a thin film transistor. The metal layer in the pixel area comprises a contact portion and a metal portion which is thick enough to partially transmit and partially reflect incident light to form a transflective region.

Liquid crystal display having particular metal layer

A liquid crystal display with improved gray-scale display. The liquid crystal display includes a plurality of pixel areas, each including first and second substrates disposed opposite each other and a liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween. A first pixel electrode and a first pixel driving device electrically connected thereto are formed on part of the first substrate. A second pixel electrode and a second pixel driving device electrically connected thereto are formed on part of the first substrate. A common electrode is formed on the interior of the second substrate. The first and second pixel driving devices have mutually different ON currents, resulting in the first and second pixel electrodes having mutually different voltages.
