A banking automation device for a bank teller and a method for controlling same are disclosed. A banking automation device for a bank teller according to an embodiment may comprise: a handling part; a vault provided below the handling part and providing space for storing bills; a cassette mounting part provided on the outside of the vault; and a removable cassette selectively mounted on the cassette mounting part to add bills to the vault or collect bills that are stored in the vault.

The present disclosure provides a teller cash recycler. The teller cash recycler includes a vault unit configured to store bills; a handling unit, provided at an upper portion of the vault unit, movable to a front side and a rear side of the vault unit, through which bills are deposited and withdrawn; a driving gear unit, provided at a lower portion of the handling unit, including a plurality of driving gears; a driven gear unit, provided at the upper portion of the vault unit, including a plurality of driven gears to which a driving force from the driving gears is transmitted; one or more swing arms, at which at least one of the driven gears is installed, configured to rotate by movement of the handling unit; and an interference unit, provided at the swing arm, configured to apply a rotational moment to the swing arm while being pushed by a handling unit.

A paper medium recognition device according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a main body that provides a transportation path in which an alignment reference line for aligning a paper medium is arranged on one side; and an alignment unit which has a transportation roller which transports the paper medium in the longitudinal direction along the transportation path, and which has an alignment roller that is arranged in the direction orthogonal to the transportation roller so as to transport the paper medium in the width direction toward the alignment reference line. A phase difference is provided during the rotation of the transportation roller and the alignment roller, and thus the paper medium can be alternately transported in the longitudinal direction and width direction.

According to an embodiment, a teller cash recycler may comprise: a handling unit including a deposit section in which banknotes are deposited and a withdrawal section in which banknotes are withdrawn; a safe having at least one storage unit in the inside thereof where banknotes are stored; a door for selectively opening and closing the safe; a first transfer unit for transferring banknotes between the handling unit and the storage unit; a cassette mounting unit provided in the outer of the door; and a second transfer unit for transferring banknotes between a cassette mounted on the cassette mounting unit and the handling unit, or the cassette mounted on the cassette mounting unit and the first transfer unit.
