A method of fabricating a display panel including a display region having a first pixel region where pixels are disposed, and a sensing region having a second pixel region where pixel groups are disposed and a light transmitting part disposed between the pixel groups, is discussed. The method can include forming a light shield layer at least in the sensing region, wherein the light shield layer includes an opening hole corresponding to the light transmitting part and exposes the light transmitting part to a laser beam through the opening hole. The method can further include forming a metal layer spaced apart from the light blocking layer in the first pixel region of the display region and the sensing region, and irradiating the laser beam to at least the sensing region to remove the metal layer from the light transmitting part.

Display panel and method of fabricating the same

An embodiment discloses a display panel and a display device including the same. The display panel includes a first display region in which a plurality of pixels are disposed, and a second display region including a plurality of pixel regions, in which a plurality of pixels are disposed, and a plurality of light-transmitting regions disposed between the plurality of pixel regions, wherein the second display region includes a plurality of first pixels disposed in the plurality of pixel regions, a plurality of second pixels disposed in the plurality of light-transmitting regions, and a plurality of first electrodes extending from the plurality of pixel regions to the plurality of light-transmitting regions to electrically connect the plurality of first pixels to the plurality of second pixels.

A partial transparent display device has a light transmitting function and a light emitting function in one area. The partial transparent display device includes a substrate, a transparent emission area, a driving emission area, and a pad part. The transparent emission area is disposed to be adjacent to one side of the substrate. The driving emission area is disposed to be adjacent to the transparent emission area and to be closer to the other side opposite to the one side. The pad part extends from the driving emission area and is disposed on the other side. The driving emission area includes driving emission pixels which are defined by scan lines, data lines, and pixel driving power supply lines. The transparent emission area includes transparent emission pixels which are defined without the scan lines, the data lines, and the pixel driving power supply lines.

Each pixel includes a driving transistor having a gate connected to a first node, a source connected to a third node, and a drain connected to a fourth node, to generate pixel current corresponding to a data voltage when a high-level source voltage is applied to the third node, a light emitting element connected between the fourth node and an input terminal for a low-level source voltage, an internal compensator including first and second capacitors, and switching transistors, and a kick-back compensation transistor to apply a DC voltage higher than an initialization voltage to the first node in a kick-back compensation period between an initialization period and a data writing period.

Liquid crystal display device and method of driving the same

Disclosed is a display device which includes: a plurality of gate lines arranged in a first direction; a plurality of data lines arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction; a plurality of jumping electrodes each disposed a first edge portion of each of the data lines; and a plurality of shield portions disposed between the jumping electrodes. Such a display device allows the shield portions to be disposed between the jumping electrodes. As such, the display device can prevent a light leak phenomenon due to an electric field which is generated by the shortened distance between the front edge portions of the data lines.

A liquid crystal panel with an improved picture-quality and an LCD device having the same are disclosed. The liquid crystal panel and the LCD device allows a distance between a pixel electrode and a data line not connected to a thin film transistor and another distance between the pixel electrode and another data line to be asymmetrically formed within a single pixel region. Accordingly, the vertical cross-talk can be minimized, and furthermore picture-quality can be improved.

A transflective liquid crystal display device includes opposing substrates having a liquid crystal layer interposed between the substrates. Polarizers are disposed on outer sides of the substrates. An uneven transflective film is disposed on one of the polarizers. A backlight unit is disposed outside of the uneven transflective film. The uneven transflective film includes a base film, convex patterns on the base film and a reflective layer in concave portions between the convex patterns. A passivation layer is disposed on the convex patterns and the reflective layer. Light from the backlight unit is transmitted through the convex patterns and ambient light is reflected by the reflective layer in the concave portions.

A transreflection-type liquid crystal display (LCD) device includes a plurality of gate and data lines on a substrate crossing each other defining a plurality of pixel regions, a plurality of storage lines parallel to the gate lines, each storage line positioned between the gate lines, a plurality of thin film transistors disposed at the crossings of the gate and data lines, each thin film transistor having source and drain electrodes and a U-shaped channel region, a negative-type organic insulating layer within the pixel region except for a transmission part, the negative type organic insulating layer having at least one of concave and convex patterns thereon, a reflective electrode on the negative-type organic insulating layer within the pixel region except for the transmission part, and a transparent electrode within the pixel region in electrical contact with the drain electrode.
