The first adhesive layer has a storage modulus of about 1.8 MPa to about 4.0 MPa at room temperature, and particularly at 30000 Hertz (Hz) when the window comprises a polymer film or at 50000 Hz when the window comprises a glass substrate.

An electronic apparatus includes a display module having non-folding areas and a folding area folded along a virtual folding axis, a lower plate which is disposed on a lower portion of the display module and in which lower openings overlapping the folding area are defined, and a digitizer including a first cover layer disposed on a lower portion of the lower plate, first sensing coils, second sensing coils insulated from the first sensing coils, a second cover layer, and a base layer. Each of the first cover layer, the first sensing coils, the second sensing coils, and the second cover layer does not overlap the folding area, and the base layer is exposed by the first cover layer and the second cover layer in the folding area.

An electronic device includes a display panel including a folding area and first and second non-folding areas spaced apart from each other with the folding area between the first and second non-folding areas, and a digitizer including a first non-folding portion overlapping the first non-folding area, a second non-folding portion overlapping the second non-folding area, and a folding portion overlapping the folding area and including holes. The digitizer includes first loop coils in a first direction and second loop coils in a second direction and insulated from and intersecting with the first loop coils. The second loop coils may include non-folding coils respectively in the first and second non-folding portions and folding coils, at least one of which is in the folding portion. The non-folding coils are driven in a first mode, and the folding coils are driven in a second mode.

A display device includes a display area and a non-display area which is adjacent to the display area. The display device includes a display panel, and a cover window structure which is on the display panel. The cover window structure includes a cover window including a first surface facing the display panel, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a third surface connecting the first surface with the second surface, and a first window protection layer on the cover window. The first window protection layer includes a first protection portion on the first surface of the cover window and a second protection portion on the third surface of the cover window, where the second protection portion is in the non-display area.

Display device and method for providing the same

A digitizer includes a base layer including first and second non-folding areas and a folding area disposed between the first and second non-folding areas and foldable with respect to a folding axis extending in a first direction and a plurality of coils disposed on the base layer and including a first coil and a second coil closest to the first coil. Each of the first coil and the second coil includes a coil portion defining an open loop and a line portion extending from the coil portion. The coil portion or the line portion overlaps the folding area, and a distance between the coil portion of the first coil and the coil portion of the second coil or a distance between the line portion of the first coil and the line portion of the second coil, which overlap the folding area, is equal to or greater than about 100 micrometers.

Digitizer

An electronic apparatus is provided and includes a display module having a folding region foldable with respect to a folding axis and including a first non-folding region and a second non-folding region spaced apart from each other along a second direction, and a digitizer disposed under the display module, and the digitizer includes a base part including base layers, first and second sensing coils disposed between the base layers and insulated from each other, and an upper reinforcement part including a first reinforcement layer and a second reinforcement layer each of which is disposed on an upper surface of the base part, and which are spaced apart from each other along the second direction with the folding region therebetween, wherein at least a portion of the base part containing either synthetic rubber or polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS).

Electronic apparatus including a digitizer

A display device includes a window, a polarizing layer disposed directly on a lower portion of the window or attached to the lower portion of the window by an adhesive layer having a thickness smaller than about 5 micrometers, a retard layer disposed under the polarizing layer, and a display panel disposed under the polarizing layer. The retard layer includes a first retard layer and a second retard layer. At least one selected from a functional layer and a support plate is further disposed under the display panel. The functional layer includes at least one selected from a cushion layer and a digitizer, and the functional layer has a step difference.

A display device includes a folding area and a non-folding area divided into a first non-folding area and a second non-folding area spaced apart in a first direction with the folding area therebetween. The display device includes a display module, a window on a first surface of the display module, and a support plate on a second surface of the display module. At least two dummy lines among the first, second, and third dummy lines extend in the same direction.

Electronic device having a digitizer with improved shielding performance

A display device includes a display panel including a first non-foldable area, a foldable area, and a second non-foldable area defined therein, a sensor including a plurality of loop portions and a plurality of line portions, and at least one transverse line comprising at least one of the loop portions and the line portions that overlaps substantially all of the first non-foldable area, the foldable area, and the second non-foldable area. The at least one transverse line includes a first rigid portion overlapping the first non-foldable area, a flexible portion overlapping the foldable area, and a second rigid portion overlapping the second non-foldable area. The flexible portion has a first width, the first rigid portion has a second width, the second rigid portion has a third width, with the first width being greater than the second width and the third width.

Display device and method of manufacturing the same

A display device includes a display panel including a first non-folding area, a second non-folding area, and a folding area that are arranged along a first direction, the folding area being foldable along a folding line extending along a second direction intersecting the first direction, a panel lower member disposed below the display panel, and a digitizer disposed below the panel lower member and including a base layer and sensing coils. The base layer includes a folding portion including holes overlapping the folding area of the display panel and first and second non-folding portions disposed along the first direction. The folding portion is disposed between the first and second non-folding portions. The sensing coils are disposed on the base layer, and the base layer includes a matrix including a filler and an elastomer and weaving-shaped fiber lines disposed inside the matrix and alternately arranged with each other.
