An apparatus for producing a living body leading electrode includes a first substrate 10 to which first boards 1 are fixed in a plurality of rows. A plurality of skin adhering members 101 with openings 102 are bonded to the first boards. A second substrate 20 is provided to which second boards 2 are fixed in a plurality of rows corresponding to the first boards 1. A plurality of electrode elements 103 are placed on the second boards 2. A pouring means 30 is provided for pouring a solution of electrolyte 100 into the upper portions of the openings 102 formed on the skin adhering members 101. A hardening device 40 for hardening the poured solution of electrolyte 100, thereby fixing the side faces 100A of the electrolyte 100 to the side walls 102A of the openings 102, which first substrate 10 and second substrate 20 may be superposed on each other.

A pad for securing a stimulus electrode plate on a living body, wherein the stimulus electrode plate includes first and second electrode plates positioned close to each other and integrally formed with a low frequency medical treatment apparatus. The pad includes an insulated substrate sheet which has a profiled portion and a grip projecting outwardly from the profiled portion. The profile portion has a front side confronting a living body and a rear side confronting the stimulus electrode plate. The sheet also includes first and second portions with a center portion defined therebetween. The pad also includes a first pad disposed on the first portion, wherein the first pad has first and second gelhydrate layers. The first gelhydrate layer is positioned at the front side of the first portion, and the second gelhydrate layer is positioned at the rear side of the first portion. The first and second layers are electrically connected to each other, and have conductive and adhesive characteristics. The second pad is disposed on the second portion, wherein the second pad has third and fourth gelhydrate layers. The third gelhydrate layer is positioned at the front side of the second portion, and the fourth gelhydrate layer is positioned at the rear side of the second portion.

An electrocardiographic electrode is disclosed, which comprises an electrode element consisting of a synthetic resin electrode element having a head portion with a lead attached thereto and having a straight recessed portion, a neck portion having an engagement portion narrower than the head portion and capable of being engaged in an expansible member and a straight portion continuous to the straight recessed portion of the head portion and a bottom portion formed under, broader than and supporting the neck portion and to be held in contact with the skin of a living body, the outer surface of the synthetic resin electrode element member being imparted with electric conductivity by coated metal powder, an expansible member engagedly locked in the engagement portion of the neck portion, and an adhesive film consisting of an adhesive, having a central portion and secured to the expansible member to be held in close contact with the skin of the living body.

Electrocardiographic electrode

An electrocardiographic electrode, which is held in close contact with a person's skin for deriving a weak voltage from an inner part of the person, is disclosed. The electrode includes a viscous base member having a central opening to be held in close contact with the person's skin and a reinforcement member bonded to the front surface of the viscous base member to close the opening, and an electrode member provided in the reinforcement member. The viscous base member with the opening is viscous both on the back side, to be held in close contact with the skin, and on the front side, to be coupled to the lead connector.

A multi-electrode type electrocardiographic electrode structure includes a base member made of non-woven cloth, electrode and lead sections formed by using a liquid conductor printed on or impregnating the base member, the electrode section consisting of a plurality of electrodes arranged on the base member, the lead section being connected to the individual electrodes, an electrolyte material provided on the electrodes and serving to reduce the resistance of the skin of a living body, and an insulating adhesive material provided on the base member to alternate with the electrodes for permitting the electrocardiographic electrode structure to be held in close contact with the living body.

An electrocardiographic current derivation electrode is disclosed, which consists of a substantially rectangular lamination consisting of a resin film, a deposited silver layer formed on one surface of the resin film, a conductive adhesive layer coated on the deposited silver layer and a foamed sheet applied to the outer surface of the resin film. The electrocardiographic current derivation electrode is formed in a substantially central portion thereof with a substantially parallelogrammic terminal. One short side of the terminal is foldably united to the rest of the electrocardiographic current derivation electrode, the other three sides of the terminal are cut sides, and the long cut sides of the parallelogram are not parallel to the long sides of the substantially rectangular electrocardiographic current derivation electrode.

An electrocardiographic electrode is disclosed, which is to be held in close contact with a person's skin for deriving a weak voltage from an inner part of the person. The electrode includes a viscous base member to be held in close contact with the person's skin and having a central opening, a reinforcement member bonded to the front surface of the viscous base member to close the opening, a lead connector hook penetrating a central portion of the reinforcement member to be coupled to a lead connector, and an electrode member secured to the underside of the lead connector hook. The viscous base member with the central opening is viscous both on the back surface to be held in close contact with the skin and on the front surface coupled to the lead connector.

A water-proof device for a transmitter is disclosed which comprises a plurality of water-proof electrodes attached to the surface of a man for deriving minute electrocardiogram signals. A water-proof plug receives a plurality of electrode leads and, a connector for connects the leads to, a transmitter. The transmitter and connector are accommodated in a sealed water-proof sack.
