A pixel driving circuit array is disclosed, comprising a first capacitor and a second capacitor. The first capacitor comprises a first electrode, an insulator layer and a common electrode. The second capacitor comprises a second electrode, the insulator layer and the common electrode. The first capacitor and the second capacitor share the same common electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode are on the same plane.

Image display system having pixels with common electrodes

An organic light emitting display device is disclosed, which including an active matrix substrate with an array of active elements disposed in an active region and a control circuit disposed in a peripheral region. A color filter substrate is oppositely disposed to the active matrix substrate, including color filter elements with different colors enclosed by a black matrix layer in a region corresponding to the active region and an extension of the black matrix layer in a region corresponding to the peripheral region. An array of OLED pixel is interposed between the active matrix substrate and the color filter substrate on the active region. Each of the OLED pixels includes an anode, an organic electroluminescent layer, and a cathode. A first conductive component electrically connects the control circuit and the extension of the black matrix layer. A second conductive component electrically connects the black matrix layer and the cathode.

An organic light-emitting device and a method for forming the same are provided. The organic light-emitting device includes: a substrate including a pixel area and a peripheral circuit area; a passivation layer on the substrate, the passivation layer including a first part in the pixel area and a second part in the peripheral circuit area; a pixel definition layer defining a plurality of pixel openings corresponding to the pixel area of the substrate; a plurality of first electrodes in the pixel openings; an adhesion layer on the second part; an organic layer on the first electrodes; and a second electrode layer on the organic light emitting layer, wherein the second electrode extends to the peripheral circuit area to connect with the adhesion layer.

Organic light-emitting device and method for forming the same

The present invention relates to an active matrix display and an image display system using the active matrix display. The image display system includes the active matrix display and a power supply apparatus. The active matrix display includes an active matrix substrate, a reflective layer and a sidewall-protective structure. The reflective layer is formed above the active matrix substrate and has first and second surfaces. The second surface faces the active matrix substrate. The sidewall-protective structure is formed above the active matrix substrate and surrounds the sidewalls of the reflective layer adjacent to the first and second surfaces.

Active matrix display and image display system using same

A system for displaying images is provided, including an active-matrix organic light emission display. The active-matrix organic light emission display comprises an active-matrix array on a display area of an array substrate, a peripheral circuit on a peripheral area of the array substrate, a reflective layer on the peripheral area of the array substrate, between a light emission plane and the peripheral circuit and covering the peripheral circuit, an organic light emission layer on the active-matrix array and a cover layer over the organic light emission layer, covering the display area and the peripheral area.

System for displaying images including active-matrix organic light emission display

This invention provides a top-emission active matrix electroluminescent device including a substrate and a plurality of pixel areas formed within a display area of the substrate. Each of the pixel areas includes at least one sub-pixel area comprising at least, from top to bottom: a first conductive electrode layer, an electroluminescent layer, a second conductive electrode layer, a first reflective layer region, and a second reflective layer region. The first reflective layer region and second reflective layer region overlap each other in part. Some of the light rays emitted from the electroluminescent layer are reflected by the first reflective layer region and second reflective layer region, respectively, and are then directed upwards. The reflected light rays compensate the top-emitting light rays also emitted from the electroluminescent layer, reducing color shifts at different viewing angles due to the micro-cavity effect.

Top-emission active matrix electroluminecient device

A pixel driving circuit comprises a storage capacitor, a transistor, a transfer circuit, a driving element, and a switch circuit. The storage capacitor comprises first and second nodes. The transistor has a gate coupled to a discharge signal and is coupled between the first and second nodes. The discharge signal turns on the transistor in first and second discharge periods to discharge the storage capacitor. The transfer circuit outputs a data signal or a reference signal to the first node of the storage capacitor. The switch circuit is coupled to the driving element, a first display element and a second display element. The switch circuit can make the driving element diode-connected in first and second data load periods, and allow a driving current through a first display element in a first light-emitting period and a second display element in a second light-emitting period.

Display system and pixel driving circuit thereof

An organic light-emitting device and methods of forming the same are provided. The organic light-emitting device includes: a substrate having a pixel area and a peripheral circuit area; a reflective layer on the substrate, the reflective layer having a first reflective part in the pixel area and a second reflective part in the peripheral circuit area; a first electrode layer having a first part on the first reflective part; a pixel definition layer on the substrate, the pixel definition layer forming a plurality of pixel openings to expose a portion of the first part of the first electrode layer and at least one electrode contact hole to expose the second reflective part; an organic light-emitting layer on the first electrode layer; and a second electrode layer on the organic light-emitting layer, the second electrode layer extending to the peripheral circuit area to electrically couple with the exposed area of the second reflective part.

Organic light-emitting device, and methods of forming the same and electronic devices having the same

A display device including a substrate, a driving element, a reflective layer and a first auxiliary layer is provided. The substrate has a first area and a second area. The driving element is placed within the first area. The reflective layer is placed above the first area and at least a portion of the second area and coupled to the driving element. The first auxiliary layer is placed on the reflective layer above the first area. The first auxiliary layer improves the electrical characteristic of the reflective layer. A reflectance of the first auxiliary layer is not larger than a reflectance of the reflective layer.

The invention provides a system for displaying image and a fabrication method thereof. The system comprises an organic electroluminescent display device comprising a first substrate divided into a pixel region and a non-pixel region, a conductive layer formed in the non-pixel region, a second substrate corresponding to the first substrate, a first electrode formed on the second substrate, an organic electroluminescent layer formed on the first electrode, and a second electrode formed on the organic electroluminescent layer and electrically connected to the conductive layer. The system further includes an exterior circuit electrically connected to the conductive layer for transmitting signals.

System for displaying images and fabrication method thereof

An organic electroluminescent device is provided. The organic electroluminescent device includes an array substrate having a white sub-pixel region and an organic electro-luminescent multi-layer structure is disposed on the white sub-pixel region of the array substrate. The organic electro-luminescent multi-layer structure comprises a bottom electrode. The bottom electrode has a thinner first portion and a thicker second portion for providing a wavelength shift of light in different directions.

Organic light emitting display device and electronic device

A pixel and a display panel using the pixel are provided. In the pixel, a driving element provides a driving circuit according to a data signal and a reference voltage to drive a light-emitting element to emit light. The electrical difference of the driving elements due to the fabrication process thereof does not affect the brightness of the light-emitting elements. Moreover, unequal brightness resulted from the equivalent resistance of the power lines is also prevented.

Pixels and display panels

The invention discloses a system for displaying images comprising an organic electroluminescent device. The organic electroluminescent device comprises a pixel area including a plurality of sub-pixels, a switching TFT having a first silicon layer with a first thickness and a driving TFT having a second silicon layer with a second thickness. Each sub-pixel includes a switching region with a switching TFT thereon and a driving region with a driving TFT thereon. Specifically, a difference between the first thickness and the second thickness at least exceeds 10%. Fabrication methods of the system are also provided.
