Endolumenal devices and methods can be used for the treatment of health conditions including obesity and diabetes. In some embodiments, the methods and systems provided herein can cause weight loss or control diabetes by reducing the caloric absorption of an individual. For example, this document provides several devices and methods for treating obesity and diabetes by using electroporation to modulate the duodenal mucosa. In addition, this document provides devices and methods for bypassing portions of the gastrointestinal tract to reduce nutritional uptake.

Electroporation for obesity or diabetes treatment

Devices and methods for the treatment of heart conditions, hypertension, and other medical disorders are described. For example, this document describes devices and methods for treating atrial fibrillation by performing thoracic vein ablation procedures, including pulmonary vein myocardium ablation. In some embodiments, the ablation is performed in coordination with the delivery a pharmacological agent that can abate the formation of tissue stenosis or neointimal hyperplasia caused by the ablation. Additionally, in some embodiments, particulate matter, such as thrombus or crystalline drug compounds, created during the ablation is captured and removed from the patient using devices and methods provided herein. Further, devices and methods for non-thermal methods of causing cell death, such as tissue suction and tissue stretching, are also described.

Devices and methods for ablation of tissue

This document describes methods and devices for treating ventricular fibrillation. For example, this document describes methods of performing electroporation of a ventricle and electroporation catheters. The methods can include inserting a distal end portion of a catheter into a ventricle of a heart of a patient, inflating a balloon coupled to the distal end portion of the catheter, occluding a valve of the heart associated with the ventricle with the balloon, injecting a fluid into the ventricle via an aperture defined by the distal end portion of the catheter, and generating an electrical current via an electrode on the distal end portion of the catheter.

Methods and devices for electroporation for treatment of ventricular fibrillation

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to treating diseased tissue with ablation therapy. In an embodiment, an apparatus comprises a catheter having an elongate body extending between a proximal end and a distal end. The apparatus further includes a balloon structure arranged proximal to the distal end of the catheter, wherein the balloon structure has a first portion with a first permeability and a second portion with a second permeability such that the first permeability is different than the second permeability. In addition, the apparatus includes a first electrode arranged on or within the balloon structure and configured to: transmit current through the first portion, receive current transmitted through the first portion or both.

Ablation delivery using a catheter having a semipermeable inflatable balloon structure

Systems, methods, devices, and techniques for analyzing and applying features of a T-wave derived from an electrocardiogram. A computing system can receive a set of data that characterizes an electrocardiogram of a patient. The system can analyze the set of data to identify a T-wave that occurs in the electrocardiogram. The system can determine values of one or more features of the T-wave and provide the information that identifies the values of the one or more features of the T-wave to a user.

Systems and methods for epicardial pacing are provided. For example, this document provides epicardial pacing using a percutaneously delivered bifurcated pacing lead that has multiple electrodes that are directionally insulated to prevent extracardiac stimulation, including prevention of phrenic stimulation. In addition, the devices, systems, and methods provided can be used for ablation, defibrillation, and/or defibrillation in combination with pacing.
