An apparatus comprises an electrochemical energy storage device, a non-conductive film at least partially covering the electrochemical energy storage device, and a nano-grain metallic film at least partially covering the non-conductive film. The electrochemical energy storage device may include a cathode electrode layer, an anode electrode layer, and a separator layer therebetween.

Battery package structure

Technology for the transition of light and sound over long distances, e.g. TV and radio, has revolutionized society. On the contrary, the technology to perceive a smell remotely is in its infancy, and has severe limitations such as latency, residual and infidelity. A system and methods are disclosed to allow smells to be perceived remotely. It is based on the brain waves associated with the olfactory bulb.

System and method for perceiving smell remotely

Aspects of the disclosure relate to graphene-based battery packaging. In one aspect, the graphene-based battery packaging can include an assembly of translucent members, including a thin graphene-based member which can be embodied or can comprise a film of graphene layers, a film of graphene oxide, or a combination thereof. In another aspect, the graphene-based member can be assembled to form an interlayer between two of the translucent members in the assembly. In certain aspects, each of the two translucent members can be embodied in or can include a thermoplastic material. In another aspect, at least one of the translucent members in the assembly can be doped with aggregates that provide a predetermined color to the assembly. In one aspect, the graphene-based member can provide substantive isolation between translucent members separated thereby, thus mitigating diffusion of atoms, molecules, and/or particulates between such members.

Graphene-based battery packaging

A modular computing system includes an electronic device and a case. The electronic device has a cavity formed by a thin portion and a thick portion. The case has an auxiliary portion that fits within the cavity of the electronic device when the electronic device is docked with the case. The electronic device has a device battery and the auxiliary portion of the case has a case battery that electronically couples with the electronic device when the electronic device is coupled to the case. The electronic device has a display assembly coupled to a cover glass, and the cover glass has two apertures providing two respective buttons within the apertures.

Modular computing system

A method includes receiving first data defining a first bounding box for a first image of a sequence of images. The first bounding box corresponds to a region of interest including a tracked object. The method also includes receiving object tracking data for a second image of the sequence of images, the object tracking data defining a second bounding box. The second bounding box corresponds to the region of interest including the tracked object in the second image. The method further includes determining a similarity metric for first pixels within the first bounding box and search pixels within each of multiple search bounding boxes. Search coordinates of each of the search bounding boxes correspond to second coordinates of the second bounding box shifted in one or more directions. The method also includes determining a modified second bounding box based on the similarity metric.

System and method to stabilize display of an object tracking box

Described herein are electronic devices that includes a display stack having a cover component atop a lightguide component and a display component below the lightguide component. In some instances, the cover component including an antiglare etching applied to a top surface of a coverglass and a touch pattern applied to a bottom surface of the coverglass. In some cases, an optically clear adhesive layer formed from two types of optically clear adhesive may be located between the cover component and the lightguide component and a ring adhesive may be applied to around an outer edge of the cover component, the optically clear adhesive and the lightguide component.

Display stack

Describe herein are electronic devices that includes an enclosure having a flexible portion extending partially over the coverglass. In some instances, the flexible portion is configured to deform during assembly to allow the coverglass to be placed within the enclosure and to return to an original position once the assembly is complete. In other instances, the flexible portion may be configured to act as a bezel and to conceal any gap between an edge of the coverglass and a side wall of the enclosure from view.

In an implementation, a battery package includes alternating electrodes. Each electrode includes a recessed region of electrode material layers that expose a conductive layer. Each electrode also includes openings within the electrode material layers and the conductive layer, where the openings are adjacent to the recessed regions. Multilayer electro-mechanical connectors couple exposed portions of the conductive layers of alternating electrodes to thereby electrically couple electrodes that have the same polarity. Each electrode is separated from an adjacent electrode by a separator layer. The multilayer electro-mechanical connectors can pierce the separator layers and thus, the separator layers do not require additional processing.

A device includes one or more connectors and receptacles. The connector may include a pair of connector magnets. The connector may also include a pair of connector terminals positioned between the pair of connector magnets. The receptacle may be associated with a user device. The receptacle may include a pair of receptacle magnets that are configured to magnetically couple with the pair of connector magnets when brought within proximity of each other. The receptacle may also include a pair of receptacle terminals positioned between the pair of receptacle magnets that are configured to mate with the pair of connector terminals to form an electrical connection. In this manner, the connector and the receptacle may form an electrical connection when the pair of connector magnets is coupled with the pair of receptacle magnets, thereby mating the pair of connector terminals with the pair of receptacle terminals.
