A thermal management system includes an ionic motion generator to direct fluid flow towards a heated component (e.g., equipment to be cooled or a heatsink mounted thereat). In certain systems, the fluid is directed through a conduit arrangement. In certain systems, the fluid is directed past the heated component to a heat exchanger. Certain types of thermal management systems have no moving components to create the fluid flow.

Corona discharge powered cooling

A thermal management system enables fluid coupling of the cooling circuits for the battery and the propeller arrangements. More than one propeller arrangement can be serviced by the same cooling circuit, but distribution of the coolant may be finessed. Optional pathways are provided to use heated coolant for heating (e.g., de-icing, cabin heating, etc.) before cooling the coolant. Fluid coupling of conduits between and/or within the cooling circuits provide redundancy to accommodate various faults and equipment malfunctions.

Thermal management system

A fluid fitting includes a nut, a sleeve, and a union. The union and the nut may include corresponding stops and corresponding markings. Corresponding stops and corresponding marking may engage with each other when the nut is sufficiently connected with the union. A method of connecting a fitting includes connecting a sleeve of the fitting with a nut of the fitting, connecting the nut with a union, rotating at least one of the nut and the union until a stop of the nut engages a stop of the union, restricting over torque via the stop of the nut and the stop of the union, and verifying a sufficient connection if first markings of the nut align with second markings of the union.

Fluid fitting

An electrical conveyance assembly includes a substrate that may include an electrically insulating material. The electrical conveyance assembly may include a plurality of electrical conductors connected to the substrate via additive manufacturing. The substrate may include an internal lattice structure formed via additive manufacturing. The substrate may include an internal fluid channel.

Electrical conveyance assembly

A method of manufacturing a swaging tool includes forming a body of the swaging tool via additive manufacturing, forming a jaw of the swaging tool, and connecting the jaw with the body. Forming the body may include providing a portion of the body with a lattice structure. The portion may be internal and may not be externally accessible. Forming the body may include adding material to form at least one recess in an outer surface of the body. The method may include conducting a stress analysis. The at least one recess may be formed based on or according to the stress analysis.

Swaging tool and method of manufacturing same

A fluid fitting includes a nut, a sleeve, and a union. The union and the nut may include corresponding stops. Corresponding stops may engage with each other when the nut is sufficiently connected with the union. A method of designing a fluid fitting including a union may include determining a gauge diameter of the union, determining a plane perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the union that includes a center point of the gauge diameter, determining a point of intersection of threads of the union with the perpendicular plane, and/or determining a position of a stop according to an angle from the point of intersection.

A coupling includes a male adapter and a female adapter, and may include a nut and a sleeve. In embodiments, the male adapter includes a male adapter inner diameter, and may include threads. A method of operating a fluid coupling may include providing a first member, a second member, a nut, and a sleeve, connecting the sleeve with the nut such that rotation of the sleeve causes rotation of the nut, rotating the sleeve to connect the first member with the second member, engaging an inner ratchet profile of the sleeve with a ratchet profile of a shoulder of the first member, and covering the shoulder of the first member, including the ratchet profile, with the sleeve.

Fluid couplings, systems, and methods

A coupling includes a male adapter and a female adapter, and may include a nut and a sleeve. In embodiments, the male adapter includes a male adapter inner diameter, and may include threads. The female adapter includes a female adapter outer diameter. The nut or other formation may be configured to engage at least a portion of the male adapter. In embodiments, one or more contact points may be provided between the female diameter outer diameter and the male adapter inner diameter, and the female adapter outer diameter or the male adapter inner diameter may be configured to be out-of-round. The male adapter may include a shoulder and the sleeve may cover the shoulder in connected configuration. Methods for forming a coupling are also disclosed.
