Methods and devices for wireless communications

A communication device for a vehicular radio communications includes one or more processors configured to identify a plurality of vehicular communication devices that form a cluster of cooperating vehicular communication devices, determine channel resource allocations for the plurality of vehicular communication devices that includes channel resources allocated for a first vehicular radio communication technology and channel resources allocated for a second vehicular radio communication technology, and transmit the channel resource allocation to the plurality of vehicular communication devices.

Methods and devices for vehicular radio communications

The invention relates to a method of synchronizing a mobile station with a base station in a wireless communications system, to a mobile station for a wireless communications system, as well as to a wireless communications system of this kind. In order to enable faster ultimate synchronization, it is proposed to compare components of the received data not only with a stored synchronization pattern, but also with a stored identification pattern prior to the adaptation of the timing of the mobile station to received data. Already before the synchronization it can thus be determined with a high degree of probability whether received data originates from a desired base station or not. The necessity of checking the contents of packets which are not associated with a desired base station can thus be avoided. Moreover, because of such preliminary checking, it is no longer necessary either to reset the timing of the mobile station after synchronization on the basis of data which later appear to originate from another base station.

Method of synchronizing a mobile station with a base station

The invention relates to a synchronous TDD system for the transmission of speech and/or data between a master unit (FP) and at least two slave units (PP, PP) which are associated with the master unit (FP), and also to a method to be carried out by such a system. In order to enable direct communication between the slave units (PP, PP) of the same system despite the regular transmission of synchronization signals to the slave units (PP, PP) by the master unit (FP), according to the invention the slave units (PP, PP) are rendered ready to receive in fixed time slots in a frequency channel which is not used by the master unit (FP) in these time slots. In these time slots the slave units (PP, PP) can receive signals from other slave units (PP, PP) of the system in order to initiate a communication between themselves.

Synchronous TDD system

The invention relates to a control unit for a terminal of a digital, cordless telecommunication system, and to a method for such a control unit. In order to realize a flexible and energy-saving construction for such a control unit, according to the invention it is provided with a control signal register array ( ) which can be loaded with events that are composed of control signals by a microcontroller ( ), with a timer ( ) for providing a clock corresponding to a time, with an instant register array ( ) which can be loaded with different instants by the microcontroller ( ), one instant thereof being presented each time as the current instant, with a comparator ( ) for comparing the time presented by the timer ( ) with the current instant supplied by the instant register array ( ), and with an output register ( ) which is controlled by the comparator ( ), is connected to control leads, in which the current event can be written upon correspondence, detected by the comparator ( ), between the time presented by the timer ( and the current instant, and is arranged to output the control signals contained via the control leads.
