The present disclosure provides methods of preparing a medical solution. In some aspects, the medical solution can be prepared from mixing a first liquid with a second liquid or mixing a solid component with a liquid in an autoinjector. In some aspects, the heat released from the mixing can promote solubility of a dry medicament in the solution.

A portable dual chamber auto-injector configured to store a dry opioid antagonist medicament separately from a liquid component, wherein a user actuated mixing system comprising a movable component to create a fluidic pathway between the first and second chambers and release a portion of energy from a pre-stored energy to drive a displacement mechanism into the first chamber and displace the liquid component into the second chamber and solubilize the opioid antagonist. A needle assembly in fluid communication with the second chamber can be used to transfer the solubilized opioid antagonist.

Portable drug mixing and delivery device and associated methods

Contemplated herein is a medication mixing device which can include a housing having therein a first chamber containing a first medicament component and a second chamber provided containing a second medicament component provided with a sealing structure selectively isolating the first chamber from the second chamber. The sealing structure can include a first sealing component having a first sealing interface and a second sealing component having a second sealing interface wherein a first compression force can be applied to the first and second sealing components causes the sealing interfaces to form a seal.
