A scraper blade for a conveyor belt system, the blade having a pair of parallel tubes in a core region of the blade, integrally molded into elastomeric material. A plurality of spacers are provided to maintain the tubes in parallel arrangement during the molding process. End mounts are secured to the ends of the tubes to facilitate mounting on holders of the conveyor belt system.

Dual-tube core scraper blade for a conveyor belt system

A manufacturing method which manufactures articles which have hollow areas inside them which are subject to their own internal vacuum. A 3-D printer can be located inside a vacuum chamber and the article(s) can be 3-D printed, thereby the hollow area inside each such article is subject to its own vacuum. When removed from the vacuum chamber, the article's hollow area remains subject to its own internal vacuum.

Additive printing method

Method, system, and program product for measuring audio video synchronization. This is done by first acquiring audio video information into an audio video synchronization system. The step of data acquisition is followed by analyzing the audio information, and analyzing the video information. Next, the audio information is analyzed to locate the presence of sounds therein related to a speaker's personal voice characteristics. In Analysis Phase Audio and Video MuEv-s are calculated from the audio and video information, and the audio and video information is classified into vowel sounds including AA, EE, OO, B, V, TH, F, silence, other sounds, and unclassified phonemes. The inner space between the lips are also identified and determined. This information is used to determine and associate a dominant audio class in a video frame. Matching locations are determined, and the offset of video and audio is determined.

Method, system, and program product for measuring audio video synchronization using lip and teeth characteristics

In many fields, such as manufacturing and mining, compressed air is used as a power source for industrial equipment, hand power tools, etc. Extensive compressed air systems are installed in these environments to supply compressed air where it is needed. In mining, extensive belts are frequently used to move mined material. Idler rollers are located intermittently along these belts. Embodiments of the present invention include compressors located within these idler rollers. As the belt moves and causes the roller to turn, a compressor within the roller generates compressed air. Because the belt moves nearly continuously, but the compressed air may not be consumed continuously, the air will be vented periodically. Embodiments of the present invention use these vents to clean the filters for the system. Also, some embodiments of the compressor may be produced using a laminated, or stacked, method.

Inverted air compressor

A concave conveyor belt idler system for use on the return run of a conveyor belt system, the idler being configured to maintain alignment of the belt and inherently adjust any misalignment thereof occurring during operation of the system. The concave conveyor belt idler system includes an elongated support member extending transversely of a conveyor belt return run and supporting a plurality of idler roller modules positioned such that the roller modules along the anterior side of the support member define a cave shape for supporting the conveyor belt, with the outer lateral edges at a lower elevation than the central portion of the conveyor belt. In a conveyor belt system the concave conveyor belt idler of the disclosed technology is positioned between two planate idler systems, on the return run, so that the center roller of the concave idler is in or near the plane of the belt as it traverses the planate idler systems, with the remaining rollers of the concave idler positioned below this plane.

A reversible belt scraper has two opposed replaceable scraper blades and a central shaft. Each replaceable scraper blade has a scraping surface and a base opposite to the scraping surface. The body of the scraper blades from the scraping surface to the base is comprised of elastomeric material. The scraper blades have at least one bracket in their bases. In at least one embodiment, the scraper blades have a plurality of brackets in their bases. The brackets in the bases of the scraper blades attach to the central shaft. End mounts at the end of the central shaft provide a means to mount the reversible belt scraper. In at least one embodiment, the brackets in the replaceable scraper blades are formed in a manner to accommodate the other scraper blade and allow both scraper blades to be mounted in a single row of apertures in the central shaft.

An apparatus and method for tracking dialogue and other sound signals in film, television or other systems with multiple channel sound is described. One or more audio channels which is expected to carry the speech of persons appearing in the program or other particular types of sounds is inspected to determine if that channel's audio includes particular sounds such as MUEVs, including phonemes corresponding to human speech patterns. If an improper number of particular sounds such as phonemes are found in the channel(s) an action such as a report, an alarm, a correction, or other action is taken. The inspection of the audio channel(s) may be made in conjunction with the appearance of corresponding images associated with the sound, such as visemes in the video signal, to improve the determination of types of sounds such as phonemes.

Dialogue detector and correction

A wear and shock resistant multi-strata panel for lining a conveyor chute bearing aggregate, coal, and other bulk materials. The panel comprises a plurality of generally planar layers, and a plurality of panels may be used to line a chute. The layers are comprised of and sequentially arranged in a topmost ceramic layer, a corrosion-resistant first metallic layer, an elastomeric cushioning layer, and a bottom-most corrosion-resistant second metallic layer proximal to and in intimate contact with the chute support structure, or chute surface. The layers are consecutively bonded together to form a panel attached integrally to the chute structure.

This application is directed to a probe used for measuring groundwater characteristics such as temperature and conductivity, and for collecting a groundwater sample. The probe also has a shielding device that allows the probe to be driven into a hard underwater surface without damaging the probe. A deployment rig for accurately placing the probe into the underwater surface is also disclosed. The application is further directed to a method for placing a probe and measuring groundwater characteristics. An external screen membrane used with the probe allows accurate groundwater characteristic measurement by filtering particulate matter. The probe and external screen membrane allow for in situ measurement and monitoring.

Groundwater evaluation tools and methods of groundwater evaluation

A reversible belt scraper blade provides two opposed scraping surfaces on an integrally constructed body. Each scraping surface has an elastomeric wear region transitioning to an elastomeric central region. Two integral frame members are integrally joined into the central region. Each integral frame member runs the length of the belt scraper blade and is at least partially exposed at their ends. End mounts attach to the exposed integral frame members and the reversible belt scraper blade is reversible about the end mounts. The wear regions may have sub-regions of different hardness to provide good scraping qualities combined with improved structural rigidity. The central region may also have sub-regions of different hardness to improve structural rigidity.

Image mutual event characteristics are recognized in the images and associated mutual event characteristics are recognized in the associated information. The image mutual events and associated mutual events are compared to determine their occurrences, one relative to the other as a measure of relative timing. Particular operation with audio and video signals is described.

Method, system, and program product for eliminating error contribution from production switchers with internal DVEs

An ultrasonic flow meter has been adapted for such measurements in the submarine environment. Connected to a collection funnel, the meter houses two piezoelectric transducers mounted at opposite ends of a cylindrical flow tube. By monitoring the perturbations of fluid flow on the propagation of sound waves inside the flow tube, the ultrasonic meter can measure both forward and reverse fluid flows in real time. Laboratory and field calibrations show that the ultrasonic meter can resolve groundwater discharges in both the forward and reverse directions on the order of 0.1 &#x3bc;m/s (&#x3c;1 cm/d), and it is sufficiently robust for deployment in the field for several days. Data collected with the meter elucidate the temporal and spatial heterogeneity of submarine groundwater discharge and its interplay with tidal loading and other driving forces. A negative correlation between the discharge and tidal elevation can be observed.

Scalper blade for a conveyor belt cleaner

A scalper blade assembly for cleaning a conveyor belt. The assembly includes an adjustment structure for adjusting a force applied against the blades for biasing the blades into engagement with the conveyor belt. The adjustment structure includes a ratchet mechanism for incrementally adjusting the biasing force and a clamping structure for maintaining the position of blades and resisting forces applied against the blades from the conveyor. In addition, a blade support assembly is provided for facilitating mounting and replacement of scalper blades. The support assembly includes a support member and a locking member located within the support member, where movement of the locking member relative to the support member is operable to engage and disengage engagement members associated with the blades in locking engagement with the support member.
