An audio description system includes a memory and a processor. The memory stores source media comprising frames positioned within the source media according to a time index. The processor is configured to generate, using an image-to-text model, a textual description of each frame; identify intervals within the time index, each interval encompassing one or more positions of one or more frames; identify placement periods within the time index, each placement period being temporally proximal to an interval; generate a summary description based on at least one textual description of at least one frame positioned within a selected interval temporally proximal to a placement period; and associate the summary description with the placement period.

Automated audio description system and method

A computer system configured to generate captions is provided. The computer system includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to access a first buffer configured to store text generated by an automated speech recognition (ASR) process; access a second buffer configured to store text generated by a captioning client process; identify either the first buffer or the second buffer as a source buffer of caption text; generate caption text from the source buffer; and communicate the caption text to a target process.

The memory stores a media file, including video data that is accessible via a time index and audio data synchronized with the video data by the time index and a transcript of the audio data, including transcription data synchronized with the video data via the time index. The processor is configured to render, via the display, images from portions of the video data; render text from portions of the transcription data in synchrony with the images; receive input identifying a point within the time index; receive input specifying audio description data to associate with the point; store, in the memory, the audio description data; and store an association between the audio description data and the point.

Efficient audio description systems and methods

A system for delivering one or more transcription products is provided. The system includes a memory, at least one processor coupled to the memory, a customer interface component, an automatic speech recognition component, an editor interface component, and a delivery agent component. The customer interface component is configured to receive transcription request information identifying at least one media file, the at least one media file including content. Automated delivery of transcription products

According to at least one embodiment, a system for generating a plurality of caption frames is provided. The system comprises a memory storing a plurality of elements generated from transcription information, at least one processor coupled to the memory, and a caption engine component executed by the at least one processor. The caption engine component is configured to identify at least one element sequence as meeting predetermined criteria specifying a plurality of caption characteristics, the at least one element sequence including at least one element of the plurality of elements, and store the at least one element sequence within at least one caption frame. The at least one element sequence may correspond to at least one sentence. The transcription information may be time-coded.

Intelligent caption systems and methods

A system for creating synchronized content is provided. The system includes a memory, at least one processor coupled to the memory, and a synchronization engine component executable by the at least one processor. The synchronization engine component is configured to locate a media file associated with synchronization information; locate at least one clip derived from the media file; generate a reference template representative of the media file; generate a derived content template representative of the at least one clip; align the derived content template with the reference template to create alignment information; and generate the synchronized content based on the at least one clip, the alignment information, and the synchronization information.

In at least one embodiment, a system for positioning captions upon video images of a media file is provided. The system includes a memory storing at least one caption frame associated with at least one video frame, at least one processor in data communication with the memory, and a caption engine component executable by the at least one processor. The caption engine component is configured to determine that at least one region of the at least one video frame is free of identified content and position the at least one caption frame within the at least one region.

Automated caption positioning systems and methods

A system for associating metadata with at least one media file is provided. The system includes a memory storing transcription information associated with the at least one media file, at least one processor coupled to the memory, and a component executed by the at least one processor and configured to associate metadata with the at least one media file by storing an association between the transcription information and the metadata within the memory. In the system, the transcription information may be synchronized with the at least one media file and the association engine may be further configured to associate the metadata with a portion of the at least one media file by storing an association between a portion of the transcription information and the metadata.
