A frame assembly for a machine includes a main frame and a crossmember. The main frame includes first pair of rails and a second pair of rails laterally spaced from the first pair of rails. Each of the first pair of rails and the second pair of rails includes a first rail and a second rail vertically spaced from the first rail. The crossmember includes a first flange connected to both the first rail and second rail of the first pair of rails. The crossmember further includes a second flange connected to both the first rail and the second rail of the second pair of rails.

A track-type tractor may comprise an operator cab, an engine, a frame supporting the operator cab and the engine, and an implement configured to move a load. The track-type tractor may further comprise at least one hydraulic lift cylinder configured to raise and lower the implement. The hydraulic lift cylinder may include a head end, a rod end, and a cylinder barrel. The cylinder barrel may be connected to the backside of the implement, and the rod end may be connected to the frame.

A radiator guard may include a front plate, a top plate, spaced side plates, gussets and yoke assemblies. The front plate may have a varied profile such that a first lateral width proximate a top of the front plate is greater than a second lateral width proximate a bottom of the front plate. The top plate may be angled relative to the front plate and the side plates may be fixed near the lateral sides of the front plate such that portions of the front plate proximate the top of the front plate extend laterally outwardly from the side plates. The gussets may be disposed on the rear surface of the face plate at these laterally extending portions and the yoke assemblies may be disposed on the front surface of these portions.

An idler key for a track roller assembly is disclosed. The idler key may have a flange portion, and an elongated protrusion extending from the flange portion in a direction generally orthogonal to the flange portion. The idler key may also have at least one shoulder disposed between the flange portion and a base of the elongated protrusion. The at least one shoulder may have at least one machined surface configured to transfer load to a mating component.

A track roller assembly for a track type machine is disclosed. The track roller assembly may have a yoke member with a first arm and a second arm spaced apart from the first arm, and an idler wheel rotatably disposed between the first and second arms of the yoke member. The track roller assembly may also have a frame configured to receive at least a portion of the yoke member, and at least one idler key configured to extend through an opening in the frame and engage a lengthwise slot in at least one of the first and second arms.

A track type machine includes an integrated track adjustment/recoil system unit cantilever mounted in a track roller frame, and operable to resist movement of the idler along a recoil line. The integrated track adjustment/recoil system unit includes track adjust cylinder that is attached to a gas cylinder by a joining component that has two sets of identical external threads mated to the track adjust cylinder and the gas cylinder respectively. A track adjust piston is partially received in the track adjust cylinder, and a recoil piston is positioned in the gas cylinder. The recoil piston and the gas cylinder define a gas volume. The recoil piston, the gas cylinder, the joining component, the track adjust cylinder and the track adjust piston define a grease volume. Track tensioning is adjusted by adjusting the amount of grease in the grease volume, and the recoil action is adjusted by setting the gas pressure in the gas volume.
