A shape cutting system for cutting a material having a surface. The shape cutting system includes a cutting unit and at least one template. The cutting unit includes a frame, a blade adjustment assembly and a blade assembly are coupled to the frame. The blade assembly is positioned at least partially within the frame such that a longitudinal axis of the blade assembly is substantially perpendicular to a lower support surface of the frame. The blade assembly includes a blade retainer and a blade connected to the retainer. The blade adjustment assembly is positioned on a neck which is rotatable relative to the frame. A user is capable of accessing and replacing the blade assembly without altering the position of the blade adjustment assembly relative to the neck.

Marking system

A shape cutting system for cutting a material having a surface. The shape cutting system includes a cutting unit and at least one template. The cutting unit includes a frame, a blade adjustment assembly and a blade assembly are coupled to the frame. The blade assembly is positioned at least partially within the frame such that a longitudinal axis of the blade assembly is substantially perpendicular to a lower support surface of the frame. The blade assembly includes a blade retainer and a blade connected to the retainer. A rigid collar of the retainer is configured to operatively engage at least one of a periphery and the edge of an opening of the template thereby enabling the blade to cut a shape in the cutting material which assimilates the shape of at least a portion of the at least one of the periphery and the edge.

Shape cutting system

A shape cutting system for cutting a material having a surface. The shape cutting system includes a cutting unit and at least one template. The cutting unit includes a frame, a blade adjustment assembly and a blade assembly are couple to the frame. The blade assembly is positioned at least partially within the frame such that a longitudinal axis of the blade assembly is subtantially perpendicular to a lower support surface of the frame. The blade assembly includes a blade retainer and a blade connected to the retainer. The blade adjustment assembly is positioned on a neck which is rotatable relative to the frame. A user is capable of accessing and replacing the blade assembly without altering the position of the blade adjustment assembly relative to the neck.

Cutting system

An envelope or package cutting system for cutting a material having a surface. The envelope cutting system includes a cutting unit and at least one template having the opening that is the shape of an unfolded envelope. The cutting unit includes a frame, a blade adjustment assembly and a blade assembly which are coupled to the frame. The blade assembly is positioned at least partially within the frame such that a longitudinal axis of the blade assembly is substantially perpendicular to a lower support surface of the frame. The blade assembly includes a blade retainer and a blade connected to the retainer. A rigid collar of the retainer is configured to operatively engage at least one of a periphery and the edge of the opening of the template thereby enabling the blade to cut a shape in the cutting material which assimilates the shape of an unfolded envelope.

Shape and envelope cutting system

The present invention relates to closed three-dimensional needlepoint canvases. Each of the canvases of the present invention is made from two interconnectable perforated shells. In various embodiments, interchangeable shells of different shapes are provided which can be connected together to form three-dimensional canvases in a variety shapes and sizes. In certain embodiments the shells have mechanically interlocking bases for easy detachment without external clips. The invention also provides craft kits containing the three-dimensional needlepoint canvases.

Three-dimensional needlepoint canvas

A hand held rotary cutter comprising a first handle including a head at one end thereof for receiving a blade and a second handle pivotally connected to the first handle. The second handle includes a rotating member at one end thereof. The rotating member rotates into and out of alignment with the head of the first handle to guard the blade. A spring biases the first and second handles to an open position, and a latch is mounted on one of the first and second handles and movable between an unlocked position and a locked position. The latch is engageable with a member on the other of the first and second handles. When the latch is in the unlocked position, the first handle and the second handle are fixed in position relative to each other.

Hand-held rotary cutter

A protractor comprising a frame and a lever arm coupled thereto. The frame includes a first substantially straight edge and an elongate track adjacent to the first edge. The lever arm includes a second substantially straight edge and a channel which mateably engages the track of the frame. The channel/track combination couples the lever arm to the frame and permits the lever arm to rotate about an axis substantially orthogonal to the first and second edges. The first and second edges intersect at a point allowing a user to describe an angle between the two edges.

Protractor

An apparatus for rendering ovals of adjustable sizes and ellipticity upon various materials. An oval cutter comprises a clickerplate for adjusting the ellipticity of ovals in a single movement. The clickerplate can be rotated about a base using a knob mounted on the clickerplate. One embodiment of this invention comprises a storage compartment in the knob which can hold, for example, extra blades. A further embodiment of this invention comprises an arm that translates through the clickerplate and a swivel plate used for setting the overall size of the oval by locking the arm at a set length. In yet a further embodiment of this invention, ovals can be rendered in either a clockwise or a counterclockwise direction and an arrow can indicate the direction in which the apparatus is set to render ovals.
