Systems and methods for collection and reporting of Channel Occupancy (CO) statistics for network tuning are provided. In some embodiments, a method performed by a wireless device for tuning one or more parameters of a network comprises obtaining a configuration for CO measurement and reporting. The method also includes obtaining a plurality of CO measurements based on the obtained configuration for CO measurement and reporting. One or more of the plurality of CO measurements are obtained when a Radio Resource Control (RRC) state of the wireless device is RRC_INACTIVE or RRC_IDLE. One or more of the plurality of CO measurements are obtained when the RRC state is RRC_CONNECTED. The method also includes reporting a result of one or more of the plurality of CO measurements to a network node. This might allow improved tuning of networks such as tuning of mechanisms that are used to compensate for potential CCA/LBT failures.

Collection and reporting of channel occupancy statistics for network tuning

Apparatuses and methods related to radar metadata in fronthaul control and/or management plane signaling are disclosed. In one embodiment, a radio unit network node is configured to detect a radar signal; and based at least in part on the detection, send a message to one of a digital unit, DU, network node and a management network node, the message comprising information about the detected radar signal. In one embodiment, a network node is configured to receive a message from a radio unit, RU, network node, the message comprising information about a radar signal detected by the RU network node; and as a result of the received message, perform an operational task.

There is provided a method for establishing a connection between a Neutral Host (NH) network and one or more virtual radio access networks (vRANs), under a service level agreement (SLA) therebetween. The method comprises: sending a message to the one or more vRANs, the message including an identity of the NH network and at least a first radio parameter; in response to the message, receiving an identity of the one or more vRANs and at least a second radio parameter; and establishing the connection between the NH network and the one or more vRANs, based on the identity of the one or more vRANs, the identity of the NH network and one of the at least first radio parameter and the at least second radio parameter. The method is implemented in a network node, such as a Distributed Unit of a gNB.

Method for establishing a connection between a neutral host network and one or more virtual radio access networks

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to defining and using unlicensed band, or sub-band, combinations for Carrier Aggregation (CA) for a wireless communication system that utilizes a standalone unlicensed technology (e.g., MulteFire or Fifth Generation (5G) New Radio (NR)). In general, a wireless device is configured with a CA combination that includes a Primary Cell (PCell) in a non-Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) spectrum and one or more Secondary Cells (SCells), at least one of which is in a DFS spectrum. In this manner, standalone operation in unlicensed spectrum utilizing DFS spectrum is provided.

Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a first radio device, for handling 802.11 signals transmitted by a second radio device. The second radio device is a non-Wi-Fi certified device. The method comprises receiving a transmission from the second radio device comprising 802.11 signal and detecting the second radio device being a non-Wi-Fi certified device, by determining the signaling behavior of the second radio device deviating from a Wi-Fi certified device's signaling behavior. A method implemented by a network node of a cellular communication network serving a plurality of user devices is disclosed. The method comprises determining a transmission routine for each of a plurality of secondary cells (SCells) using radio channels in an unlicensed spectrum. Each transmission routine has an associated transmission period based on a downlink (DL) buffer status. The present disclosure relates to a method and system in a wireless network for radar detection in certain bands e.g. bands normally used for unlicensed access. In one broad aspect, a method is provided for a network node configured to control wireless transmissions in a frequency band also used for radar transmissions. In that method, the network node controls the wireless transmissions using a transmission cycle pattern defined by a transmit on time and a transmit off time. The method includes after a wireless transmission during the transmit-on time of a first transmission cycle, detecting, during the transmit-off time of the first transmission cycle, at least one radar pulse in the frequency band and extending the transmit off time of a second transmission cycle based on the at least one radar pulse detected. Advantageously, in some implementations, extending the transmit off time when one or more radar pulses are detected provides more time to detect a larger number of pulses which as a result, may improve radar detection accuracy.

Systems and methods for passive proximity detection of wireless devices in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In one embodiment, a supporting radio access node in a cellular communications network including one or more coverage radio access nodes in a coverage layer and one or more supporting radio access nodes in a supporting layer is disclosed. In this embodiment, the supporting radio access node detects a ranging signal transmitted by a wireless device while passively listening for a ranging signal. The supporting radio access node receives ranging assistance information from an anchor radio access node of the wireless device in the coverage layer and determines a range estimate for a range between the wireless device and the supporting radio access node based on the ranging signal transmitted by the wireless device and detected by the supporting radio access node and the ranging assistance information.

A packet received at the data link layer for transmission to the remote node is inspected to determine if MPTCP is enabled for the packet, and, in response to determining that MPTCP is enabled for the packet, the packet is assigned to one of the first data link layer connection and the second data link layer connection based on an affinity between an MPTCP sub-flow associated with the packet and the one of the first data link layer connection and the second data link layer connection.
